 + -1 moreWe're delighted with the project we've just completed at our Heights home with Byron's Landscaping: the results exceeded our initial expectations, and the overall project experience was completely positive. Every individual on the team was professional, focused, and dedicated to completing the project to our satisfaction. From the initial conversation and consultation with Ricardo and George we felt comfortable, and the project leadership displayed by George, Jay, and others as the job continued was exactly as promised. Some of the other less than stellar reviews on this site are simply not our experience: the team was always communicating with us, were open to suggestions and questions, cleaned up the project site routinely, and the bid for a sizable amount of work resulted in a high 'value for the money' project leading ultimately to improved property value and a better standard of living for us. Finally: Jay, George, and Ricardo are just good people: what more can you ask for? Kudos to the entire Byron's team: highly recommended.

His team is courteous and professional, too. We recommend Byron's to our friends who use them often. For this most recent job, we needed a complete landscaping overhaul and tree trimming for our house that is going on the market soon. Ricardo and team did a lovely job that boosted curb appeal and made the house look fresh and inviting. We will definitely use him and his team again.

 + -1 moreFor the original job they arrived on time. It was cold that day and I did not really exam work because I get sick rather easily. Just to glance it looked like a good job but the plants started dying within one week. I went out and examined plants then and realized that many of plants were in bad shape ie rose bush had brown spots on leaves, another plant the leaves were covered with some kind of white stuff, etc. Ricardo was supposed to return the next week and redo my flower pots. After two weeks I called and he promised to send pictures and be at my house to look at the dying plants and do the pots. I have called several times since then and my calls are not answered or returned. My recommendation would be this company be dropped from Angie’s list. I paid $1200 and furnished 24 scrubs myself. I feel I was way over charged for the plants provided and the time to complete to complete the job.
Description of Work: I needed some scrubs planted. I was talked into letting them landscape my patio area which is all the yard I have.

If I were to tell someone else, I would say they are very punctual, very responsive to our wishes and what we are trying to accomplish and very hard working. It took about 4 hours and there were 4 people.

 + -1 moreI wasn't terribly pleased. They were fairly expensive which was fine with me. They just worked the surface. It took a couple of times and they finally fixed it and got it right. It was just a hassle. It was three men for probably a little over half a day. It took quite a bunch of coming back and redoing all that with me pushing that.

 + 2 moreRicardo is very artistic and chooses beautiful plants for our beds. Neighbors usually knock on my door wanting to know who did my landscaping. He gets the job done very quickly. We have him return each year to spruce up existing landscaping and add new features.
Description of Work: Added new beds, power washed all cement and flagstone (driveway, sidewalk, patios), planted front and back beds, including an herb garden, planted fruit tree. Adjusted sprinkler system. Added grass to bare lawn areas and sand to even out low places.

Description of Work: total renovation of the back yard. They took everything but the trees out of the yard; built a new fence; made a flagstone patio and new flower beds; added new plants.  + 1 moreI can't say enough good things about Byron's Landscaping. We have used them a couple of times. The first time, we had them do some planting in a small bed in the front of our townhouse, as well as spreading mulch and doing some trimming and clean up including removing a large shrub. The second time, we had them refresh the gravel n the pathway to our patio, replant the beds around our patio, and install an irrigation system. One of the first things that impressed us is responsive Byron's is. In both cases, Ricardo was able to come out the next day to give us an estimate (including coming out on a Saturday). Then, he was willing to have a crew to come out that day, or the next day to get started. Both times, the work was completed in a couple of days. The second thing that impressed us was that both times, we got much more than we expected. The first time, all beds were mulched thoroughly, and everything was cleaned up beyond our expectations. And in both cases when they have done planting, they have provided many more plants, and in a great variety, than we were expecting for the money. Each time, they left our property neat and clean, delivering a definite wow factor. Finally, we really appreciate that while different crews may do different things (irrigation versus planting, for example), Ricardo always starts and finishes the process, making sure everything is satisfactory.

Description of Work: Had an appointment set for 11AM. When they did not show by about 12:30PM I called to see what the problem was. The lady apologized and said someone would call or come by around 1:30PM or so. No one called or came by. I called again, she apologized, but I cancelled the appointment and called someone else.

Ricardo Perales is extremely personable and eager to please. I found that the more specific I was in what I wanted, the better. He is very creative and artistic with landscaping and choice of plants. I have people knocking on my door asking who did my front beds. Fence work was done with the highest quality treated wood.

Description of Work: They were extremely responsive and helpful when trying to get my business and get a quote ready, but it was downhill after that. I had them tear out my old landscaping and install new plants and some sprinklers. They did the work over multiple days on their own time tearing out, prepping, and installing the sprinklers which was fine, but I specifically asked them to schedule an appointment with me in advance for the installation of the plants so that I could be there (as I work out of town) to make sure that it was all done as I wanted since nothing had been written down. This did not happen, they left me a voice mail one evening and said "we will be there tomorrow morning". Overall, the landscaping looked good, but I came home to a handful of things that had not been done as discussed, our gate had been broken, and they had not installed any weed barrier as I had requested. Following this, I spoke with the both Ricardo and emailed the office manager about getting these issues resolved but they were much less responsive. They assured me that they would complete the job, but refused to make an appointment. Instead, I would get an email in the middle of the day that stated "the crew will be there todat, please leave the gate unlocked" which I had explained to them was impossible because I work out of town. This happened multiple times and I even spoke to Ricardo after one of these instances where he yelled at me and said I missed the appointment and inconvenienced him. (Apparently they do not understand the concept of an appointment). A couple of days later we spoke again and I finally convinced him to schedule an appointment with me ahead of time so I took that day off from work and waited, and waited...called, texted him to see if he would make the appointment, emailed the office...nothing. Finally, he texted me back and said he was busy and couldn't talk. He did not even acknowledge that he did not make the appointment, nor did he ever. This continued on time and time again. They did eventually fix the majority of the issues, but I had to just leave the gate to my property unlocked everyday in hopes that that would show back up.

 + 0 moreWe very much liked them and we signed up with them for a continuing contract. When we first called them, our yard was a complete mess. It was overgrown, full of weeds and a jungle basically. So we called them to inspect it. They took a look at it and gave us a quote. Basically they said it would take one or two days. They did in less time, maybe four hours. They did it much quicker and the things that he quoted me he would do, he did more than our arrangements.
Description of Work: We went with Byron's Landscaping. We use them on a bi-weekly basis now. They do fertilizing, trimming, cleaning and just general maintenance.

 + 0 moreThey did a great job. We're in the process of selling our home and wanted to freshen up our curb appeal. We went with a hardscape in the front yard with various plants interspersed among the rocks. They put down a stone walkway along both driveways (we're in a block of 3 town homes) that is very attractive. Also lots of colorful flowers everywhere. They incorporated some of the elements we already had there into the design. We had them put down some grass on the side and part of the back yard for future pets. They incorporated our plumeria plants into the design. We're quite happy with it.

All aspects of the project were completed as promised and our yard looks great as a result. He and his crew were friendly and professional. He was even gracious enough to replace one of the bamboos after it didn't take well. We'll definitely call on Ricardo again for any future landscaping needs.
