This was a lousy experience from start to finish. Although the sales people and the customer service rep were great, the movers themselves were incompetent and at times even lied to us. They left grease marks in our living room at our old apartment and denied that it was them -- but there is no way that we could have gotten the grease in there. They broke or scratched every item of furniture we moved, including cracking the frame of a chair, denting our bed frame, losing a piece of our butcher block, getting black marks on the butcher block, and I could go on. We were reimbursed at the standard $.60/pound rate.
They were supposed to wrap our items in blankets but did not. When we watched them they would start to, but when we were busy they would stop. Once arriving to our new apartment, things continued to be terrible. They put a hole in a wall (but did pay for the repair, thankfully), dirtied the carpet, and made an unconscionable mess in one of our bathrooms.
One of the movers did not know his left from right. I am sorry to report htis because I feel like he is a lower-skill person, but seriously, a mover should know right from left. Whenever I would say "the left bedroom" or "the right bedroom" he would guess, and it was finally my husband who realized htat we had to say "the big bedroom" or "the small bedroom".
I hated this move. I will never use professional movers again. Our belongings are wrecked and the movers were incompetent liars.

This was the worst moving experience I've had in 28 years.   They showed up over an hour late both days, failed to take all the furniture that they agreed to move, and nearly tore the front door of the hinges of the new house.  You had to watch them every minute or they bang something into a wall or door frame.  We had to repair the paint in the old house in several places  due to the damage they caused.
It would be easier to count the number of pieces of furniture that they did NOT damage than it would be to count all that they broke or dinged up in the move.  A $10,000 wall unit was damaged in three places, the living room wall unit was banged up, the armoire had several nicks, and the living room table had a piece completely broken off the bottom.  And that's just the tip of the iceberg.  Over all, I think we counted roughly ten major dings, gouges and scratches on some very expensive furniture.  When we attempted to turn in a claim, they told us that the deductible was $500 per item and recommended some fly-by-night repair service to come out and do the repairs.

From beginning to finish, they went above and beyond to make sure everything went well.  They even gave us additional boxes for free when we needed them.  The sales team was very helpful and friendly, and they did a great job with the move.  Nothing was broken in the process, and we were extremely pleased with their service.

They were extremely professional, and they were very, very helpful. I had a lot of special things, I am an artist, and I have a printing press. I also do pottery, so I had two kilns. They did all the extra packing, wrapping and moving so that none of that stuff got damaged, they did a great job.

They did everything they said they would, were very efficient, and careful with our stuff.  They showed up right on time and were very accommodating.

Met with the representative, Michelle, who was dressed very professionally and was very nice. She looked over our belongings and showed us a nice brochure, telling us directly that they would wrap our sofas in plastic and cover the banisters to make sure they were not scratched. There were even cloths that they put down on the floors to protect them during the move. She also gave us a quote based on time and said that if they did not use the time allotted, we would be refunded money for the hours not used. She was great and we were very pleased. However, we were less than pleased with the movers themselves. They arrived on time, which was awesome; however, they did not do what was promised when Michelle spoke with us or what was represented as what they would do. They did not cover the banisters at either home, they did not wrap our sofas in plastic for protection, they did not lay down cloths on the floor. They did put down cardboard on the floor. We were moving within the same zipcode, and even though they had a big enough van for one trip, they took two trips. In the course of the move, they lost the screws to put the bed/dresser together and one guy began opening drawers and jerking them out of the furniture. If he did not find the screws, he slammed the drawers back into the furniture. He went back to our old home to search for them and only found them when I helped look. On the second trip to the old place, they did not carry our boxes down the stairs. Instead, they made a slide out of cardboard and slid the boxes down the stairs. Good thing that we moved our breakable items ourselves! They would not let me up the stairs while they were doing this. After they finished unloading the truck, they presented paper work showing that they had worked for eight hours. Luckily, my husband produced his iPhone stopwatch, which he had started the moment they walked in the door to our other house) and showed them that they had worked six. The guy seemed annoyed and said that they would not change the paperwork and basically said I had to sign it so they could leave. He gave me a number to call instead. I called it as they were walking out the door to complain. Because it was the holidays, it took them a while to get back to us, which I can understand, and we were told they would refund us money for the two hours they did not use. When I finally got someone on the phone, she stated that she was upset that the movers would do the things we described above, but the only reaction was that she would figure out who had worked the move so she could find out what happened. Also, we have yet to be refunded any money for the hours that were not worked.
