ALL KINDS ELECTRIC

Firstly, the phone numbers for AKE are never answered & you cannot leave a voice message. Apparantly the owner Sterling Howard dropped his phone in water so it doesnt work properly & he just uses caller ID to contact customers. At first we got prompt call backs, but that changed.... They sent out an electrician on Friday morning. The breaker box they had installed had a 12 month parts & labor warranty so we expected quick resolution. We explained what our A/C guy had said about it being an electrical issue. After a while he said it was not an electrical problem at all; that it really was an A/C issue. We had our A/C guy speak to him on the phone so they could work it out between themselves. Ultimately he left saying there was nothing wrong & we waited for our A/C guy to come back out again. Our A/C guy came and, surprise surprise...the "fix" the electrician had said was necessary did not fix the problem. (our A/C man also said the electrician was not very knowledgable when they spoke (and that's me being polite!) Frustrated, we contact AKE again with no call back. It was Friday afternoon & the prospect of spending another weekend without A/C was unbearable, so we called a different electrician & scheduled a call that evening, even though we knew it would cost more. In the meantime I DID get a call back from Sterling Howard from AKE (possibly only because I used a different phone number). I explained there was still something electrical wrong & Sterling said he would come out on Saturday morning. The electricians I had sceduled for Friday evening arrived & they could not have been more professional (I will report on them separately). After an hour of being in our 90 degree temp house up & down in the attic they found the problem.......one wire in the breaker box had not been secured adequately & it was not making a proper contact! That was it! so simple and yet completely missed by an incompetent electrician who only wanted to blame someone else for poor workmanship. Worse....Sterling Howard did not arrive the following morning! He did not call; he did not reply to my calls, nothing. How unprofessional! But, considering I discovered that All Kinds Electric have an F rating on Angies List & a C- rating with the BBB - I am not surprised. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!! they will not honor their work & will leave you frustrated.
