I had a bathroom outlet that was no longer working. Justin came in and diagnosed the problem quickly, about 15 min, and explained what would need to be done to fix it (he claimed the estimate would be free). What was needed was simply a new (gfi) outlet needed to be installed - but he made it seem like it was alot more involved.. He then provided an estimate of $200. When I asked how much the part cost, he immediately dropped the price to $150 and got pushy as if this was the going rate for this sort of service. So taking his advice, I allowed him to perform the service. It took him another 10 min to install the new gfi outlet. The following day, without having him push me into a sale, I looked up and found the top tier gfi outlet was ~$20, max. Which means he charged me $130 for his 10 min of labor. I called him and confronted him about the price gouging, and when I asked to see a price break down of exactly what I was charged for, he refused to send me anything further than saying that he and his company "charge by the project" and the more than $750/hour rate, was to cover the business's overhead. I will NEVER hire A-1 again, and I would recommend anyone who would like to pay a fair price for the service to do the same.

After they got my address correct and I finally got an estimate, the electrician that showed up did an excellent job within the time frame originally quoted.

Very Professional and expertly installed. Was advised on proper type of fixtures in Bath area - due to humidity and water - and advised on Kitchen Light fixture - went well. All work fast and efficient - Highly Recommend their Services.

Not good. Charged several hundred dollars for City of Houston electrical permit. Actual cost of permit was only $103,78. Was told that was because someone from A-1 Plus Electrical had to be present each time the inspector came. There was no one present from A-1 the three time the inspectors came. I had to take notes and relay information back to the company. Their reliability was unpredictable. I was given a two hour window from the main office each time the electricians were supposed to show up. Each time they would show up one or two hours late with no courtesy call that they were running late. This is unacceptable.

When I called to schedule, I made an appointment for a free estimate for the next afternoon, between 2 and 4. I received a call around 1:30 to say the electrician was 10-15 minutes away, so Sergio was early for the appointment. He looked at the projects and gave me a worst case estimate, but once he took a closer look, he gave me a price I agreed to so he completed the work in approximately one hour at a very fair price. He was professional, courteous and cleaned up when he was done. He also gave me a price for another project, which will be on my next list. He confirmed that it was a viable project, which I appreciated. I would definitely call them again.

I scheduled service for Friday, February 12 between 8:00 - 10:00am. At 9:45 I called and was told tech was running late and it would be another hour before he could get to me. I explained I had taken off work to be there for the specified time and could not wait another hour so I would have to call someone else. Few minutes after hanging up Fabian (sp?) called and apologized for the inconvenience, then offered to come on Saturday. I agreed to Saturday between 10:00 - noon and was told someone would call me 30 minutes prior to arrival. No call / no show on Saturday.

The actual work, when it finally took place, was done well. It did take quite awhile too and was an issue because it took well into the late evening. The problems I had with this company were in communications and contact. There was too much reaching out by me to them to see when the service call would happen - the first one was running very late. He said "x." A different guy came the second time and I was worried they wouldn't know what was going on. When the work finally got done, that repair guy was super late (thus was working until 9pm!) and I was the one calling to find out the status of his arrival. I understand when repairmen run late but not being notified is terrible. This happened several times with this company - their office/communications/scheduling systems were poor.

They arrived when promised, pointed out the pros and cons of everything, worked efficiently, and cleaned up. We were VERY happy with their professionalism and work product!

I bought a special ($99 for $200 worth of work) and added additional work on top of that (hence the extra charge). They were very prompt, courteous, professional, and worked FAST! I had them replace 2 exterior outlets with GFCI outlets, one regular interior outlet, and one GFCI outlet. I also had them replace a security light. They did wonderful work, and I highly recommend them.

David reviewed our electrical situation, and diagnosed the problem immediately. As well as diagnosing our "Circuit Switching" problems when it rained and tripped the breaker from the outside outlet. The guy was thorough and professional - he knocked out all the problems in under two and a half hours - that included a run to the shop for supplies. All my outlets in the kitchen are functioning properly now. I was lucky in that I had purchased the "Angie's Discounted Deal" for $99.00 for $300.00 Services - "WHAT A DEAL!!!" (The $250 Cost included the $99.00 Deal) - Honestly, I would recommend A1 Plus and ask for David Saldana for all your electrical needs.

They did a great job. I needed to have some work done and they came back. They did such a great job at such a great price. I didn't ask for a bid. They came back and I felt they overcharged me for what they did. It was a lot. They did it with one light at a really good price. They came back and it was double what they have charged me two to three weeks earlier. I would not call them soon again because of that. Their workmanship was great. I talked to them but I didn't get it resolved to my satisfaction. I just wouldn't use them again.

I used them twice now. First through Amazon the second time I contacted them directly. I feel they gave me a good price, and installed fans without any issues. They were very professional. And cleaned up when finished. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again. My overall experience with this company was very good.

Upon scheduling the service through Amazon on a Wednesday, I requested the two available Saturday time-slots as preference 1 and 2, to prevent inconveniencing either my or my wife's schedule. I selected the following Monday afternoon (2-4 PM) as my third choice, which was the time slot that A-1 Plus confirmed later that day, meaning my wife or I would have to stay home that afternoon. I talked with A-1 Plus at 8:10 AM on Monday morning, and verified that they would be available during the time slot. I also asked if the 24' ceiling would be an issue, to which the lady responded, "I do not believe so, but I will check with the electrician and give you a call back." I also confirmed with the lady that there would not be any additional charge for the higher ceiling. After not receiving a call back, I called A-1 Plus at 11:38 AM to confirm that they would be able to perform the install. This time the lady asked for my name and looked up my appointment in the system. She placed me on a brief hold to confirm that the high ceiling would not be a problem, and came back on the line to tell me that all should be fine and they would perform the job on time as scheduled. After my wife stayed at home all afternoon waiting for their arrival, I received a call at 3:42 PM from A-1 Plus stating that they would not be able to perform the job that day because they would need a special ladder. She asked if they could reschedule for the next morning between 9 AM and 11 AM, at which time they would have the correct equipment for the install. Believing that they would be able to install the fan, we accepted the new time, and the fact that one of us would have to miss work again. A-1 Plus arrived shortly after 11:00 AM only to walk into the house and look up at the ceiling and state that they would not be able to install the fan on that height of ceiling. They then measured the ceiling height where the fan was to be swapped and stated that it was a 22' ceiling, which is 2 foot lower than what I had told the and repeatedly confirmed. So after two days of having to stay at home and several phone calls to confirm the details, A-1 Plus now says the best they can do is schedule yet another date for the install, for which they will charge at least $190.00. To me, this is unacceptable business practice
