Apple Pest Control

Quick response. I had questions after the bait was placed (I didn't think of the questions when the technician was at the house). They responded quickly to my questions. The best part is they call ahead before arriving. I was able to stay at work until they called and then meet them at the house. Unlike many companies where I have to take a day off to wait for the tech. Will definitely use again.

Brian is very easy to work with. I actually explained a situation to him about my dad needing services. He went over to my dads home and surveyed the yard from the outside without disturbing him. Called me right away and gave me a quote. I asked him to do my dads lawn at least once a month. I send him checks in advance (in the mail) and when my dad calls, he goes and does the work. He is always on time --and according to my dad, he always takes his time and does the job right. If I haven't paid him yet (by mail), he does the work anyway and then calls me to let me know he completed a job. I could pay a cheaper rate but I appreciate that he works with me the way he does. Really nice guy.

He arrived on time and started work immediately.

I called the provider because I was shopping around and a previous company gave an extremely high estimate (insisting on unnecessary services) after an initially low phone quote. Apple's price was much more reasonable. After seeing the nest, he promptly cleared it out and offered to repair the mesh barrier for a nominal additional fee ($25 I think). He was very responsive, came out the next day and performed the service. Extremely professional, capable and fair. Would definitely use the company again for general pest control.

Apple Pest Control responded to my request for quote for termite treatment by sending Steve over to my home to review my exact needs. Steve arrived on time. He asked the right questions and spend considerable time investigating the unique problems associated with my home. His quote was thorough and very competitive. I chose Apple from 4 different bids. This decision was based mostly on Steve's knowledge and his eagerness to help resolve problems. Some background: A previous owner put an addition on to the home. Despite a Termite Treatment when I bought the home (not done by Apple) termites were entering the home where the two foundation slabs met. I did treat this area but it was not done correctly. Steve showed his knowledge of construction techniques and ability to read very old blue prints to formulate an exact treatment plan. He explained his plan in detail... I approved and he spent considerable time and effort treating this particular area. Steve showed that he is a safe worker, not only for his own personal safety but mine and my overly curious son. I am pleased with the service provided by Apple and would recommend their service.

Came out the next day and were super friendly. Answered questions and calmed fears. Will be using them again.

The technician arrived within the time limit provided, and gave me a courtesy call on the way to the house. He was friendly and professional.

Adam came out exactly when scheduled. He explained what they were and told me how he was going to deal with my wasp problem. Since I was just moving in, he signed me up for a initial house spray to protect us from bugs ( I had already ran into my first scorpion - not pleasant!). Because I did the whole house, he threw in my wasp nest for free. He also gave me tips for preventing bugs in the future. I will definitely use them again!

The men from Apple Pest Control were very, very nice and very helpful. They explained what they were going to do and what could they do for us. Their pricing is better than most. They will work with you and try to give you a better deal, for having other things done. For example, spraying in the yard for ants or fertilizing your yard, things like that, which we haven't taken advantage of yet, but they said they would certainly work with us on pricing.

There were some concerns because we still had bugs afterwards and they came out and did a retreatment with no problem. The price was a little more than what I would like.

It went very well. Our deck is low and not easy to access. Two boards had to be removed, but Steve worked hard and was able to do it!

Great service! Aaron quickly veiwed the colony of bees and explained what he would do to eradicate them. He even explained why the bees had come to build the hive, stating they accompanied a queen bee which probably had split off from another colony. They had formed a "defense team" around the queen several inches thick. He explained that he would spray cypermethrin on the entire nest and instantly kill the bees on the outside of the hive and saturate the rest, thus killing the queen and the remainder surrounding her within a matter of hours. He said the bees would fall immediatly to the ground. Any not killed would dissipate by the following day. Without a queen, they cannot multiply. The spray job only took a few minutes because it was easy to get a hose under the tree. After Aaron thoroughly saturated them, they immediately fell to the ground in a clump. Some flew around and then died. A few others continued to fly around for a few minutes before finally leaving the area. We were told to stay away from the tree for about 24 hours even though most bees should die within 6 hours. Aaron was very courteous and spoke with authority on the bees' habits.

He was awesome! Very reasonable, very punctual. He actually captured the pregnant racoon and released her out in the wild. I thought that was very humane.

It went okay. I called them out to spray for ants. They told me to contact them if the ants returned. The ants came back and they came back out. They also gave me a $20. discount for being an Angie's List member.

I had my quarterly service about a month ago but last night we had to kill a Brown Recluse Spider. I called Apple and told them the situation and they sent Glen out to check it out. Glen not only treated the area where the spider was killed but resprayed the entire property with stronger stuff. Glen had a positive attitude and was aggressive about working the problem. Apple made it right did not charge me again. I would recommend Apple and especially Glen, to my friends.

I've used them before and they'll be back next month. They come out quarterly. They've got a good warranty. They always come out when they say they are going to be there. They use shorter windows; like an hour instead of four hours. Their price is reasonable compared to other providers. They are really good and I wouldn't keep using them if they weren't.

On time and very professional. Very pleased with their service.

The tech showed up and was very knowledgable on these bugs and knew what to do. He tracked them down and showed me where they were and sprayed them and the entire room with two different chemicals.

They're the only one I've used, I've got three homes and I used them for all three of them. The guys that came sprayed the houses and everything. He's always friendly and their on time and they seem to do a very good job. I never have pest problems. Also, they are always available and that's what I like about them. They go out of their way to work on the schedule.

Since there was a high wind that day, he was unable to dislodge the hive. After presenting my wife with the bill, she complained that the job was not complete. He told her he could come back that afternoon with a long pole to knock down the hive for an extra $20. His boss instructed him to go buy a pole, since they did not have one on the truck. He did come back when he said he would, and after numerous pokes with the newly acquired pole, removed about 90% of the hive. Job complete. It should be noted that my wife is a piano teacher in our home, and the students walk directly below the empty hive. We have had a few neighbors comment on whether the hive actually had bees or not, so removal was important to us. John and Connie Wallace

I was sitting outside on the back patio, reading a book, when I saw my cat playing with something. Turns out, it was a scorpion! I had a contractor here who said he saw one a few weeks earlier but I thought he was mistaken. So I called Apple the next morning and they sent someone out that day! The price was exceptionally reasonable and after 1 visit, I haven't seen any more scorpions. The spray they used was safe for animals, too, so I didn't have to worry about the dog or cats getting sick. I was very happy with their service and will use them again or any further bug control needs!

We have been using Apple since we moved to San Antonio in 1987. They have always provided quality service and we have never had issues with pests in our homes over the years by having them come out on a quarterly basis. They will always call to schedule an appointment when the service is due and will work with our sometimes erratic schedule to fit the service in. We also use them at my business location.

Technician walked around outside of house, and looked in attic. I paid $139 for some dried corn which he dropped into my blown insulation and into MY live animal trap....which I had used before to no effect. They also put rat traps in attaic and garage. Which I had also done before. They didn't do anything unique or special. I had tried both types of traps. We did not catch anything after left baited traps. Next visit: technician sealed a possible entry point with some metal mesh and foam. Next day, i heard critter running in attic/soffit. He noted another suspicious area, very high, would need a special long ladder. Ok, get a long ladder. That's what I'm paying the pest control company for. They have not been back. We still have the critter problem. They didn't do anything that i couldn't do. In fact, I DID all the things they did...except seal the possible entry point. At this point, I've paid $310, with no critters removed. I am not happy with the service. We need professionals, not a service doing the same things I already tried.

We found some ground hornets in our backyard, so I called Apple Pest Control. They came out the next day. They were prompt, effecient, professional and courteous. I would SO use them again, and totally plan to.
