Description of Work: FCD is a good company with honest employees. I purchased an Angie's List deal for a garage door tune-up, which was needed. The price on this service was very reasonable and fair. When the technicians arrived, they identified additional things that needed to be done but were not covered by the tune-up. I decided to go ahead with the additional work, which essentially has extended the life of my garage doors. There was never any pressure to do this additional work. While the additional work was agreed to and completed quickly, I felt as though the price was high. The quality of the work was good, and I would include them in any future bids for garage work.

Description of Work: Repaired and tuned up our garage door. It was not going completely up or down and we ha to hold down the panel button in order to do so.

Description of Work: Two young men showed up to install a new garage door. They did a quick professional job and the installation went well. We retained my old motor and control unit. When it was done I asked about the second garage door opener I had discussed on the phone with the owner? when scheduling the service. They seemed mystified but went to the truck and got another remote. This started an hour of phone calls/adjustments/failures to get the second garage door opener to work. The first one which we had tested now didn't work. Finally I called a halt and said I would pay for the garage door installation but not a new remote. I paid and they left. No operating remotes. Next morning after a little internet research I reset the dip switches to match on the remote and unit and the one remaining garage door opener began working again. I called the original contact at the company and explained the situation. He was mystified because he said they were some of his best installers. He said he was busy at the moment but he would send his partner out to check out the situation when he was available. Never heard from them again.
