Marc was great. Very responsive to calls. Answered questions thoroughly. Work was of good quality.

It went great, i spoke with Marc. He was friendly and helpful on the phone. I had shopped around, and his rate was the best that i've found. We scheduled him to come out and perform the service for the following tuesday. He showed up on time, and the work was completed in about an hour. I would recommend Affordable Insulation to anyone. It has been about a month now, and i have definitely noticed a difference in my daily use of electricity.

Mark gave me a free estimate and the information needed to understand the difference between cellulose, fiberglass, and foam insulation. After doing some research I determined that fiberglass was most suited to our needs. I called several other providers from Angie's List and determined that Mark had offered me a fair and competitive price. Mark and Gilbert arrived on time, did an excellent job, were done in about 1.5 hours, and cleaned up after themselves. I chose Mark and Affordable Insulation for three reasons: 1) positive Angies List reviews; 2) competitive price; and 3) trustworthiness. I would highly recommend Mark and Affordable Insulation, and would not hesitate to use him in the future.

I contacted Marc Truxillo owner of Affordable Insulation as one of several contractors for quotes on getting insulation installed in my attic which was something I had been putting off even though I knew it had to be done; it just hadn't been at the top of my list. When the temp's bottomed out in the low 30's and my 84 year old mother started saying that her bedroom was freezing I knew I had to get the insulation done now! I spoke to Marc when he was leaving for Thanksgiving and was at the airport while we were talking. He was so sweet about my predicament and said that he would get out to take care of it just as soon as he returned after the weekend. He also offered to extend his senior discount to me on behalf of my Mother as well as the Angie's list coupon which was a huge help to me. When he and his helper got to my home to take care of the job, they arrived promptly and called to let me know they were on their way before coming. They explained what they were going to do before starting and showed me what they were going to be using. After the job was done, they cleaned everything up, and then made sure that I got a good look at what was done and that it was done to my satisfaction. I was presented with a very clear invoice at the end. I was very pleased with the entire encounter from start to finish with Affordable Insulation and would highly recommend them.

The company's owner, Marc Truxillo, came to my house during the week prior to service. He had a well-organized notebook containing information about his credentials and bonding and the kinds of products he uses. Marc was very polite and neat and clean in appearance. He looked in my attic and explained to me with patience and detail what my best options were to increase the efficiency of my heating and cooling system. He helped me decide what was best for my situation, did not try to upsell me, and we agreed on products and scheduled for the insulation to be blown in the next Wednesday. On Wednesday morning, he came out with a helper and completed the job in less than two hours and they cleaned up after themselves. My electrical service is through a company that allows you to see your daily usage online. After the insulation that usage dropped a lot. It would not be fair to give a percentage as the weather had also changed, but it was obvious it made a big difference in my cost for cooling my house. The air handler/heat pump system comes on far fewer times throughout the day and I am hoping will lengthen the life of the equipment.

I am very impressed with Marc's professionalism and his pleasant demeanor. He is straight forward in how he does his job. If he tells you he will call to let you know when he is coming, he follows through. He and his crew show up on time and with a smile. There were no problems of any kind. The job was pretty straight forward. He offered advice on cooling the attic down further and covered some safety issues that I was concerned about, such as my recessed lighting. Marc and his crew took care in setting up and cleaned up after the job was done. It really means a lot to have a courteous crew come in on time, do the job they are hired to do and clean up afterwards. I would say they were worth every penny and I would highly recommend Affordable Insulation to everyone.

Called him off Angie's list. Marc met me on time- took a look-see in my attic and promptly provided me a good quote. I priced this out several years ago and Marc's pricing was more competitive. Thought it was a very fair deal. We scheduled a day for him to arrive to do the work and he was there mostly on time- I think he may have been 3 to 5 minutes late- no biggie..He was there with associate and both were professional. Marc's a very likeable guy and provides a great service. I have already recommended him to others.

Things went well. A piece of trash got caught in their air intake, so they had to reschedule mid-way through install. Their machine was repaired next day and they were back to finish the job promptly the day afterwards. Always called before heading over from Georgetown, 30-40 min. Very professional. Easy to work with. Cash/Check/no credit card. Highly recommend :)

The great service started when Mark followed up from our initial call, came out quickly as scheduled to provide an estimate and was the only one of the 3 providers who gave us an estimate to follow-up to see if he'd won our business. It was both his price (the lowest) and his responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism that led us to choose him. On the morning of the service he called 40 minutes prior to the appt time to say he was on his way. They did the work quickly and showed me the results, answering all of my questions. He even offered advice on how we could caulk around some windows to further insulate the house. He is very polite and helpful and I definitely recommend him.

Had my home remodeled during which time various contractors went into the attic to lay cables and electrical wiring, having to rearrange and remove insulation so they could work, leaving several bare spots and thinning insulation in their wake. Went on Angie's List and hired Affordable Insulation to correct this mess as well as bring my insulation R-rating from R-28 to the recommended R-38. Marc answered the phone and quickly responded setting the appointment that afternoon. I hired him on the spot due to his Angie's List rating and his professionalism and he did the job a couple of days later. I learned a lot from him regarding insulation and appreciated the attic stick indicators he put throughout the attic that showed exactly how much insulation was added in each location and how much was overall in our attic. He and his crew were on time, quick, and cleaned up afterwards. I look forward to the savings on my electric bill and am very pleased with the work Affordable Insulation did.

I contacted a few insulation places for bids and Affordable Insulation had the most competitive pricing bar-none. Marc is not only knowledgeable but also very polite and patient to answer all my questions [and I asked a lot of questions]. He is also a honest guy by offering advices on what he would do if it were his house. Because I am somewhat a tree hugger, I want the house to be as much energy efficient as possible so we opt for R-60 insulation. On the day of work, Marc and his cheerful helper arrived on-time and began working immediately. It took about 3 hours to complete the baffles installation and insulation in a very cramp space. After that, they cleaned up nicely even though I said don't worry about it because I have the carpet cleaning guy coming next week. Marc said it is his principle to leave the house cleaner than before the work. [thumbs up] I highly recommend Affordable Insulation (Marc Truxillo) for your insulation need. Not only they are locally owned small business but they also deliver quality work with really affordable pricing.

It went very well. Mark gave me a quote over the phone based on what I currently had in my attic and my square footage. He told me the product they used and I looked it up online to see very good reviews of it. Mark scheduled me for a week later (not much I could complain about, it is August) and they called that morning to say they were coming. They showed up, did the prep by putting tarps down so the insulation blower wouldn't scratch anything. He encouraged me to watch him and had an extra mask for me to get up in the attic. It took about 1 1/2 hours for him to completely blow in all the insulation. They checked all the ducts to make sure they weren't leaking before covering them up and they checked all my recessed lights to make sure they were rated to be covered by insulation. They did a great job at a great price and my house already feels much more comfortable. I would definitely recommend them.

I was very pleased with Affordable Insulation's professionalism and helpfulness on the phone, as well as their price. After researching the product they used, I was also satisfied with it compared to what some other businesses were using. They even did some extra weatherstripping for no charge though it required an extra trip to the hardware store. I felt like they really went above and beyond what was expected.

Mr. Trujillo responded quickly to my request for an estimate. He showed me his insurance coverage and explained options available to improve my attic insulation. He discussed the product he recommended and the reason for his preference. I was given two options to choose from, and was given time to decide. There were no high pressure sales tactics. He was on time, communicated well, reviewed what he had done with me and asked if I was satisfied. He covered and protected my floors during the work and cleaned up very well at the end of the job. He did an excellent job.

Mr. Truxillo was prompt and professional for both the estimate and the installation. When we first started discussing what we wanted done, he showed me his documentation of liability insurance and worker's comp. He quoted exactly on the service that we wanted done . I did ask questions about other energy saving features and he answered them and did not try to push any other service or product. He offered an installation date that fit our availability. He also explained the energy tax credit that could be used with the product he installed. I would recommend his service.

Eight households in our neighborhood contacted five contractors who provided costs and information on various forms of radiant barriers and insulation. We settled on Affordable Insulation after contacting contractor references and studying referenced material. Heatbloc Ultra appears to be the best sprayed material while Jetstream 73.3 the best thermal efficiency. Affordable Insulation met the lowest bid. Neighbors praised how careful his crew was in masking rugs, tile, walls, and attic storage with plastic. Mr. Truxillo remains on site for the entire operation to answer questions and handle any problems that may develop.
