Description of Work: I took my Toshiba laptop computer to PC Geeks after not being able to recover from "the blue screen of death". They informed me that my generation of Toshiba laptops tended to have problems with overheating which caused software failures. They were able to get my data from the hard drive and tested the hardware to see if it was failing. The hardware was not failing, but they couldn't make any guarantees about how long it would last before failure. I decided to have them reinstall my software and use the computer until the hardware failed. They did reinstall all of my software and were very helpful when I couldn't find files later on. However, they installed a different version of the OS (64-bit vs. 32-bit) than what was previously installed and I had an awful lot of problems with Silverlight that took quite some time to resolve. The guys I worked with were very polite and professional and seemed to be quite knowledgeable. I would use them again, but if I needed them to reinstall software, I'd be sure to give them the exact list of what was previously installed to avoid software conflicts later on.

Description of Work: This is the second time I have used PC Geeks. The first time they wiped out the virus that had overrun my wife's computer. They immediately called back and then made the repairs. |The second time her disk drive stopped working. They quoted a price after having the computer for 15 minutes. Gave me options and then fixed it quicker than expected. |Very easy to talk to and work with. Wish every business was this flexible and prompt.

Description of Work: Had a key not working on the laptop, couldn't make it work, friends couldn't either. They fixed it for 45$ (the basic diagnostic fee) and also identified an issue with laptop overheating - fixed all for 75$

Description of Work: My hard drive crashed and PC Geeks replaced it and restored my data quickly. They were easy to work with and everything is running great. I recommend them and will use them in the future if i need pc work done.
