Description of Work: Move in to our new home in Aug and needed garage door openers. Our neighbor recommended. This was the only garage door company that suggested we needed a stronger opener for our heavy wood double doors. I felt they were very honest.

Description of Work: The service rep arrived on time, but he clearly was new and inexperienced. He examined my garage door Genie opening system. The door was making snapping noises going up and down and the motor was straining to operate. He told me that the snapping sound was because one of the door panels was warped and needed to be replaced. Further, the Genie system needed to be replaced, but they do not sell Genie brand door openers which he described as no longer a good product. He gave me an estimate for overhauling my door and left. Well, I gave my door a thorough close up exam and discovered two henges which were broken, and once I replaced them the door operated fine with no snapping noises. However, the Genie motor is still sluggish, and I am shopping around for a deal on that. Home Depot sells Genie products and says they are fine and reliable and come with good guarantees.
