Firefighting's Finest Moving & Storage Inc of Ft. Worth

Firefighting's finest was great. The only glitch was the communication on what time they would arrive and when they would unload. They came to San Angelo and moved us to Ft. Worth. We were first told they would have to store it overnight then come unload first thing the next morning. Once there they said they would unload that night which was even better. They arrived a few hours later than expected. Since there were no local movers in San Angelo to move us to Fort Worth we were glad someone would come. Their rates were better than others in the Fort Worth area. Once they got there, they were fast and professional. We have been moved before and they are not the typical moving personnel. They were such a breath of fresh air. Unfortunately, we were locked out of our new home once we got to Ft. Worth. We were all waiting for a couple of hours for a locksmith. I know the 2 guys were tired but they patiently waited and quickly got us unloaded after a long day. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone. My husband says it was the best $2000 he has ever spent and I agree. I really wanted to tip the guys but I did not have any cash on hand. They were excellent in the customer service department which was greatly appreciated.

They were very nice. They showed up on time, they had all the equipment they needed, had a toolbox to help us remove part of the fence and put it back when they finished moving the couch. Helped rearrange the storage unit to fit the extra stuff. We will use them again when we move next month!

The men showed up, all three in their early 20's. They were an hour late. they moved as few items as they could per trip.....one box at a time... they brought in equipment they didn't need, and prolonged their inept use of cumbersome equipment. This move could have been done in half the time. the same items were moved from Clifton Texas by Small World Moving, two movers, on March 22, 2013, for $650. They were even stuck in a traffic slowdown on Interstate 35 for 2 hours. These Firefighters Finest movers, wasted time with roundtrips to the truck empty handed. Then at their truck they moved as if in slow motion.... they were in no hurry to get my furniture loaded. I even took several loads to their truck myself. I phoned their office half way through the move to complain on their "slow motion" and wasted trips empty handed to the truck. Nothing changed. I was quoted, over the phone, three movers, $150 an hour, for $450 not to exceed $900. I explained I am a 100% disabled Veteran, and live on a small fixed income. I told them how much Small World Movers charged me in March to move from Clifton Texas...$650. When the three movers showed up an hour late, they walked my apt. then gave a written estimate not to exceed $1900. THIS IS A SCAM!! They stole money and time. I'll never use this company again, and suguest you use another mover...

I contacted the company about 2 weeks prior to the move, and spoke to Chris Escobar. He was very helpful, and asked a lot of questions to determine our needs. He also explained their charges up front, and gave me an estimate for 3 men and a 26' truck for 6 hours - about $1100, including an upcharge for a safe. Based on reviews here and from friends who had used them before, we decided to go with them. We did the packing of boxes, and had them do the actual moving, including all our furniture, packed boxes, etc. One thing: They suggested we move our own computer, audio components (other than TV's), etc.; this was because they felt it would ride easier in our car than in their truck. Firefighting's Finest called me 3 days before the move, to confirm everything. On the day of the move, the crew chief called to let us know when they were leaving their offices and what time they expected to arrive. We'd booked for 9 AM; they arrived abut 9:15, which was acceptable. On arrival, Davin (the crew chief) went over the estimates and the contact. The crew also walked through the house with me to ensure they knew what went and what stayed. I signed, and they got to work. He was assisted by Jarred and Andrew. All three of them were fantastic - hard workers, but careful when carrying things in and out of houses. They had the whole house on the truck by 1:15. They then left for our new house, after explaining they would take a short (30 minute) break on the way so they could get some lunch. This time would not be charged. When the truck arrived, we walked through the new home first, so they'd know where things went. We had put room labels on all the boxes, and labeled the rooms also, so it made it much easer for them to get the boxes and furniture to the right rooms. The guys got right to work, offloading and moving everything inside. The estimate was, unfortunately, a bit low. This was entirely due to the design of the homes we moved out of and in to. Both were 2-story homes, and had 180 degree turns on the staircases, which made it much more difficult to move furniture up and down. It actually took about 8 hours. I really wasn't surprised, because we have a LOT of stuff. We were totally satisfied with the service and professionalism of Firefighting's Finest, and recommend them. One final thing: Once we were in the new house, and had time to unpack, we had a grand total of ONE glass broken during the move. And my wife thinks that was her fault, as she had packed that box very tightly with items. Considering the number of items moved, that was fantastic!

The workers stacked boxes that were fragile. I had breakage- the company met the price in reimberssment to replace the items.

It is our 3rd time using FFMD--once again our experience was fabulous! Professional, punctual, great communication. The movers are very accommodating wanting to be a help and very courtrous and careful with all our belongings. We HIGHLY Recommend!!

Firefighting's Finest was terrific! All three crew members did a great job with moving our furniture and items and had a great attitude. Very professional and worked very hard on a humid 95-degree summer day. They even took the time to adjust the drawers to our king-size storage bed to make sure they closed properly. Final cost was about $150 below estimate. We will definitely recommend this company to others.

The team responsible for packing/loading in Houston ran a little late on packing day, but they worked efficiently once they got started and were professional and considerate. Delivery the next day in Plano went very well with the team taking great care to protect new hardwood flooring and giving us adequate time to put protective felt on the legs of all furniture as they delivered it.. The teams at both ends of the move were great to work with, and we would definitely use them again or recommend them to others.

This was my third time to use Firefighting's Finest Moving and Delivery. This time they moved furniture from a house in Irving, first to Denton to a home and storage unit then brought furniture from Denton to the Irving house. Then, they loaded the truck again and delivered furniture to a home in Grand Prairie. Again, they took furniture to a storage unit. The 3 guys were great. They showed up on time and had the truck loaded in no time (each time). They are very professional and extremely polite. It was a rather complex move and the guys did an outstanding job.

I had accumulated a lot of items over the years and there was a lot of furnature and home goods that needed to be moved. They called shortly before arrival. There was excellent communication through out the process. The unloading went smoothly, including putting the beds together. All the large tasks I had dreaded were taken care of for me. I would use this firm again.

These guys are total rock stars in my book! They have never let me down. I have used this company to move my stuff 4 times in 7 years due to company transfers. Two moves were on holidays (Labor Day & 4th of July) and there was absolutely no issue at all scheduling my moves. The July move had to be delayed by 4 hours, and there was no problems with that either. All I have to do is call Derrick and tell him I'm on the road again.. LOL I give him the date & both old and new addresses, then he pulls my file and takes it from there. He emails confirmations and contracts, and calls the day before to confirm everything. The guys call the morning of my move and give an arrive time (they've never been late). They move fast, carefully, efficiently, are friendly & trustworthy, and just outright awesome. I trust them so much that I know I can leave before they start loading to get to my new place and unlock it before they arrive. I'm so impressed with them that I always buy the guys lunch. Honestly, I can't wait to move again so I can call them back out!!

They were super nice, very personable, and did the job well.

When pricing the job, the operator politely let me know up front that there was a minimum 2-hour charge. When I told him that one of the items I was moving was a heavy safe, he let me know that there was an extra fee for safes. However, after discussing the job with me briefly and asking questions about the items being moved and locations, he realized that the entire job would probably only take about an hour. Without being asked, he offered to waive the extra fee for heavy safes. The movers phoned to let me know that they could arrive earlier if it was convenient for me, and it was. They wrapped prominent parts of my antique high boy chest of drawers with several layers of saran wrap to keep them from getting dinged, before moving it carefully into my truck. They were polite and worked quickly while still being careful. I was pleased with their work and would highly recommend them.

The three men who moved us were incredibly polite, very careful, and overall, fun to work with. They kept the entire move upbeat and positive and by the way they moved back and forth, to and from the truck one would suspect that they are being paid by the job, not the hour.

We moved in the pouring rain. The movers were cheerful, professional, and did all they could to keep our belongs dry! It was a great experience.

I had just purchased a new home and needed to move all of my stuff out of a large self storage unit. After finding these guys highly rated on Angie's List, I contacted them by phone to get an esimate. They gave me an estimate of "cost per hour" for a team of 3 guys and estimated time of completion for the job at 7 hours based on the size of my storage unit, a brief discussion of some of the contents of my storage unit, and how far they would have to travel. I asked if they would need to come see the storage unit for a better idea and they said no there was no need. I met the team of 3 guys at the storage facility. They arrived at 8:45 AM for our scheduled 9:00 AM start time. Two of them quickly started getting things ready to start loading the truck while the third gentlemen went over all of the paperwork with me. He explained the job cost details, what would be happening over the course of the day, and gave me the maximum cost not to exceed for the job. I reaffirmed the 7 hour estimated time given to me over the phone and he said he thought it could be even quicker than that. As I observed them working, they were very courteous and although they were constantly moving at a very quick pace, they handled my things with great care. They frequently checked with me to ask if everything was ok, if I had any concerns, and how they were doing on time. They were all about making sure I was satisfied which I was. They realized about half way through loading that they probably were not going to be able to get the whole unit in one load due to some of the larger bulkier items I had to load. They asked if I would be alright with them making a second trip. They assured me they could do that and still meet or beat the estimated time for the job. I agreed it was fine. When we got to my house, they unloaded everything just as carefully as they unloaded it. Being a 2 story house, there were a lot of things that had to go upstairs and they made sure to ask where things went so they could ensure it went to the right place. They stopped for a quick snack for lunch (maybe 15 mins) and got right back to work loading for the second trip. They even stopped off at my current apartment to load a big screen tv for me at no extra charges for an extra stop. They said they were on the clock for whatever I needed. They got done with the job almost 2 hours earlier than the estimated 7 hour time so they asked if there was anything else that I needed help with..hooking things up, putting beds together, putting furniture together, etc... Since the job was done much earlier than expected, I had them stick around for an hour to help me put some furniture together. Again, great job on their part. You can't ask for much more than courteous, friendly, expedient, thorough movers who are careful with your stuff and attentive to your every need. I was completely satisfied with the job and would hire them again in a heartbeat for any of my moving needs.

I needed some furniture and boxes moved from a house to a storage facility on very short notice. I called late Thursday afternoon and told them I needed to have the move conducted Friday (the next day) or on the following Monday. They were able to schedule me for Monday. They called and emailed me to confirm, then kept me informed on Monday so I would know exactly when they would show up. They were courteous, careful with all my furniture, and willingly moved items I had not mentioned by phone that I wanted moved. It was all within the amount of time that was quoted. I have made many moves, both local and across the country, but wasn't sure if I would get the same level of service on a very small move as opposed to a large one. I was pleased with their professionalism and the care they took with my items. I would definitely use them again.

It took a little patience to get a time for Lance to come out and do the initial estimate. It was well worth the wait, as they were much cheaper than 2 other estimates. Super nice guys did a great job packing everything up and making sure boxes were appropriately labeled. The day they loaded the trucks went smoothly. On unload day things started slowly but, when the entire crew got there, they got everything put where we asked them to put it - even loaded up the attic with boxes from previous attic. Everyone was very polite, personable, and efficient.

I was extremly pleased with the experience. The three young men were polite, very careful with my antiques, on time- I would recommend to anyone!

They were on time and hit the ground running. I have used them before and they are always fast and diligent, taking special care to wrap our items and pack them up carefully into the moving van, as well as laying down protective covering in our home, since it was raining that day and they wanted to prevent tracking mud all over as much as possible. We discovered that it would take an extra trip to get our garage stuff, but it barely went over the estimated time because the guys were so incredibly fast. They waited to take their lunch break so they could get the job done as soon as possible, despite me trying to encourage them to go ahead and take a break to get their lunch. I have never had any complaints with Firefighting's Finest and no one I know of that has used them have ever found fault with their service. From the point of first contact to the end of the service, they are exceptional, courteous, and outstanding overall. I recommend them to every person I know when they mention moving, or even if they do not mention moving! They are truly the best!

I can't emphasize enough how great these guys were. They were great movers. They were respectful, friendly and very hard working. They were very patient when I changed the location of the furniture. They were very careful disassembling and re-assembling my furniture. I was having trouble with the speakers on my TV and it was very quickly taken care of. I hired them a fews years ago, hired them again yesterday and I will absolutely hire them if I ever move again. i've recommended them to friends and will continue to. Worth every single penny.

They are usually reliable and they take care of my stuff. This group had good recommendations on Angie's List so I chose them. They were, by far, not the cheapest but I went ahead and chose them because they got such good ratings; they lived up to everything.

Everything was done quickly, carefully and professionaly.

It was good. We went with them because of the comfort of them being firefighters. It felt good to go with them.
