Each appointment was on time and they did what they said they would do. They took the time to explain each step of the process and gave me realisic expectations from the results. They told me the shrubs probably wouldn't survive and they didn't. I'm not sure they couldn't have babied them more, but I knew what to expect. The cut some sprinkler lines, but repaired them before they left. (to be expected). Foundation repair is a no win game. You don't feel like you gained anything for your $, but it's a fact of life in this area. They made it painless.

The only issue I have with them is that I emailed them but it didn’t work for some reason; that is a minor issue because they came out within a few days of my call. They were strictly professional, they were actually early for the appointment, and they did precisely what I asked them to do. They told me that I did not need any work done and that the house inspector was wrong. They did exactly as they advertised, they did what I would expect from someone in the business, and they did everything very professionally.
Description of Work: We got a report that there may be a foundation issue with my house so Structured Foundation Repair came out and did a thorough inspection.

Jeffery was the sales person who came out. He had another man come who was in charge of the crew. They made some recommendations and they did a great job. I had flowers planted on one side of the foundation. They dug up the flowers, set them to the side and did their work. When they were done, they put the flowers right back that you never know that they were out of place. It was very impressive. Other than the fact that there were two new pieces of cement in the middle of the slab, you never know that they were here. It was cleaner after they left than how it was before they got here. There was mounts of dirt and they spread it around the foundation of the existing house. I was very happy. We did get another lower bid. We went with them because they had multiple people come out and evaluate the situation. Obviously they knew something about foundation. They had the crew foreman come and look at it. He made some recommendations above and beyond what he thought should be done. They really tried it getting right, though they were little more expensive. We also had in the contract that they would come back and do a onetime readjustment after the construction is done if there is any shift in the foundation. We have contacted them regarding one of the side slabs and they haven?t got back to us which is odd.
Description of Work: We used Structured Foundation Repairs Inc in April. They fixed a slab that we had laid about 24 years ago to build a garage and an addition.

Having recently moved into a 5-year-old home and being concerned about the condition of the foundation and especially the exposure on the north side, I called Structured Foundation Repairs to have someone come out and do an analysis. I explained over the phone that I didn't think there was necessarily a problem. They were perfectly happy to come and do the survey and analysis anyway, even suggesting that if there turned out to be a problem, that repairs may still be covered by the builder's warranty. It was very easy to set up a convenient appointment. Greg arrived on time and was very attentive and personable and spent around 45 minutes doing the survey and making a chart of the foundation. As expected, no current problems were found, but he gave us good recommendations on how to deal with the north side to prevent future problems (involving fill dirt, grading, ground cover, and gutter installation). He said the company keeps foundation charts on file so in the future we can have them come out and do another survey to see if anything has changed. I was very happy with the professional and proactive service. I would definitely use this company again.

The representative (I cannot recall his name) came out and took measurements on the slab foundation of the house I was looking to buy. The owner had a report from a structural engineer that said one side of the house needed piering. This company's rep came out as a second opinion for me. He took his measurements and they were consistent with the sellers engineer's report. HOWEVER, a big distinction was how those measurements were interpreted. The rep said he felt there may be a water leak under the slab based on where the measurements were higher and that piering the house would be a mistake without getting a plumber out to inspect the water lines. Sure enough, a plumber came out and found the leak. The seller ended up paying $18,000 in repairs. THANK GOODNESS for this company's honesty and thoroughness! Now that the leak is fixed, we'll see what happens with the foundation, but I'll be sure to call these guys out again!

Excellent. Arrival was punctual and the inspection took approximately 90 minutes and was very thorough. Having been through these a number of times both in purchasing and selling homes I knew what to expect. It was very professionally conducted and the report was well done also. I was pleased, of course, to find my fears were unfounded.
Description of Work: I needed a inspection of my foundation and frankly expected to have to do work based on the amount of cracks in my walls. Much to my delight and surprise upon a very thorough inspection of both interior and exterior of my home I received a clean report. It could have gone much differently and I was prepared for it. I had told them I wasn't going to go through a bidding war and was prepared to do the whatever work was necessary.

Their quote was less than the quote we got from the company we went with. We felt that they could have done better with their professionalism because that was one of the reasons that we went with the other company because their professionalism was better. The other company was also a little better than explaining their process and techniques that they used and were not pushy about making their sale.

We were very pleased with their proffessionalism, courtesy, timeliness and ultimate work product. They schedueld a structural engineer to come to the property both before and after repair to ensure that the work to be performed would resolve the issue and then to ensure that the issue had been resolved. Additionally, the work was guaranteed and there is a lifetime transferrable warranty on the repair. We sold our house and transferred the warranty without a problem. We would definitely use them again, although we hope that we don't have to!!

I had a termite inspection on a home that I had just purchased and was told there was a problem with the pier and beam foundation (one of the piers was not functioning). The house did not seem very level, so I called Structured Foundation Repairs. They scheduled a visit the same week that I called. The person who arrived, Brandon Hoge, spent over an hour measuring the floor height around the house using fancy equipment and then crawled under the house and inspected the foundation. He took long enough that I was worried that this was going to cost a lot of money. When he came back up, he showed me his drawing indicating about a 6 inch variation in floor height. He said that the foundation looked really good, and even though a couple of piers were not touching the beams, everything looked fine and that there was nothing to worry about and that this variation was typical for a pier and beam foundation on a house this old. He said they could do some leveling but there was no guarantee that this would get the house as level as a newer home. We agreed that nothing needed to be done at this time. Was I surprised. It's like going to the dentist and being told that I have no cavities. I appreciate the honesty of these folks and plan to call them again when we do some structural changes due to remodeling.

They came out, inspected my home and recommended 6 piers on 9/16. Installation was scheduled for a Friday, 10/8/2010 but one of their trucks broke down so they agreed to come the following day which was a Saturday when they normally don't work. This was acceptable. A team of 5 or 6 arrived at 9 am and worked until dark to complete the install. We were quite shocked while sitting in our house how much the house rocks around (rises and falls) while the are installling the piers and quite expected stuff to start falling off the walls. They assured us this was normal. They proceeded to lift the house approx. 1 inch. Team seemed qualified and took care to clean up their mess and put things back as they were. They also took extra time to scatter some left over dirt in some of the low areas in our yard when it would have been much easier for them to haul off. Highly recommend.
Description of Work: Structured Foundation Repairs installed 6 concrete piers. They were recommended to us by an inspection company. Greg came out and gave us an honest assessment which was refreshing for a change. We had an independent engineer do a follow up and their recommendations were dead on. We had one other estimate by Perma Pier who wanted to install 15 piers at $8900.

It was a good experience. The initial inspection was done with us present and they explained the process well. The bid was about what we expected and we set up the service for a couple of weeks from the inspection, They showed up on time, did the job, left the house without a mess, and their work passed the follow-up inspection of the engineer.
Description of Work: My mother's house was being sold and we had Structured Foundation Repair check the foundation. As we expected based on a prior engineer's report we had, there was an area that was a problem and required 6 pilings to repair.

They were one of the 3 companies that came out to give us a bid. We got a structural engineer and ended up using another company since the structural engineer had a relationship with them. They came out to give us a quote and I liked the guy who came out. We did get 3 different solutions from 3 different companies. We didn?t know who to believe since they were all talking about their estimates being better than the others. So we got the structural engineer, but that was nothing to do with the guy who came out to give us a bid. There was really nothing wrong with them and they were number 2. The thing that I couldn?t quite get was how credible he was. His quote in terms of the solution was fairly similar to what we ended up doing, but his quote was probably $2200 more than what we ended up doing. He sent us an article about root barriers. He followed-up a couple of times to find out as to what we wanted to do via e-mail. I couldn?t tell if he was recommending the right solution to us versus trying to make a sale.

In this report it seems like the customers only concern is price. It is unfortunate, however that we cannot compare apples to apples. If we could see the other company's estimate or speak with the customer we would ask several questions such as: 1. Are their crew members employees or do they use day laborers? Is the company fully insured including Workers Compensation to protect the homeowner? Did the company include a permit for the City of Carrollton? What type of warranty was the company offering, was it pro-rated? All of these things contribute to the cost of a repair and most times when you compare jobs item to item we are usually very, very competitive. A lot of times, we are the most economical, while still being ethical. The customer also stated that he couldn't tell if our representative was "...just trying to make a sale". Our representative actually took the time to send the customer a article discouraging root barriers instead of just giving them a price to install them. As a company, our motto is "do the right thing" and we feel we provide a quality service. We are disappointed that this customer thinks the service we provided is only worth a "B" rating since she repeatedly states that we did nothing wrong, she liked our representative, we followed up, sent her information and our repair plan was similar to the one she chose. Again, her only complaint appears to be cost and the service she was provided by us was free.

Company did an outstanding job! Highly recommend. This is the first time we have ever had to have foundation work done on a home. The experience was much, much better then expected. Chris Bailey from Structured Foundation Repair is excellent. He is one of only 2 TREC licensed foundation instructors in the DFW area. He really knows what he is talking about. He explains the situation completely and makes you feel very comfortable with the process. The company sent a structural engineer to recheck the original estimate to make sure it was correct. They also send a plumber to check to make sure there are no leaks prior to the leveling. Once the job was complete, both the structural engineer and plumber return to make sure everything worked out as planned. Great to have a second opinion at no added expense. All the workers they use are employed by the company, so no outside contractors. They showed up on time and finished early. When they left, you could not even tell they were here. The yard was out back together, the ground cover was replaced perfectly, even the decorative stones in the front flower bed were washed off and put back before they left. They continuously gave us updates as they progressed throughout the afternoon, keeping us informed through the entire process. Even the installation of the interior pier was handled perfectly, with no mess on the inside of the house when they left. If I ever need another foundation company I would call them immediately, no need to look any further.

They were quick and efficient. Managed to avoid breaking thru our sidewalk which was the original plan. Also the sales rep. was very truthful about what needed to be done and did not try to low ball me. The plumbing company they used had good integrity as well. Did exactly what they said overall, and charged exactly what the quote was.

Randy Lazier was very good on calling me and coming out to give me an estimate. The engineer also was very nice and showed up when he said and was very flexible with my schedule. The crew showed up and had problems with getting the house level. I ended up with more cracks which is normal I believe when you are lower on one side of the house then the other. We could not resolve all the problems without pouring a couple of piers on the inside but I didn't want to do that at this time. My main problem is the follow-up. They took my front porch apart to put two piers and did not come back to finish putting it back. They poured the concrete but said they could not match the pebble finish on my porch so I am left with a 3 foot hole with a 1-2 " drop when you walk out my front door. When I call the office, Mindy says she is working on it and will get back to me but it has been since 8-16-08 and my porch is still not repaired.

THE MATERIAL ON THE MEMBER'S FRONT PORCH WAS A MATERIAL WE WERE UNFAMILIAR WITH. IT TOOK SOME TIME TO RESOLVE THE MATTER AS WE WERE LOOKING FOR A MATCH. BECAUSE IT WAS A COSMETIC ISSUE, BY OUR CONTRACT, THE HOMEOWNER WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING FOR THE REPAIR, HOWEVER, AFTER MUCH DELIBERATION, THE HOMEOWNER MADE THE DECISION TO HAVE THE PORCH PATCHED WITH A DIFFERENT MATERIAL AND THE PATCH WAS COMPLETED BY OUR COMPANY ON 09/05/2008.

The service people showed on time and began to work, right away. The job took about 9-10 hours. The foreman on the job estimated when they might finished and, while I didn't believe they'd be done in time, they were done right around when he said they would be. He offered to take away the excess dirt (which I had no room for in the yard or property) which I appreciated. The replaced concrete looks good and was matched fairly well with the existing concrete. The house was raised and stabilized. There were some minor cracking on the interior walls of the repaired side that were not the responsibility of the companies. All foundation companies warn of this type of ensuing potential damage. Nothing a little spackle won't help.
Description of Work: Eleven (11) concrete-pressed pylons/piers were placed externally around the problem area of of the house. Three places had to have the concrete cut out in 2x2 sections. All cut-outs were replaced with new concrete. That side of the house needed to be raised about 1 1/2 inches.
