Structured Foundation Repairs and Roofing Systems

I contacted the company after finding them on Angie's List. Larry Todd came out to provide the original estimate. It turned out to be a bigger job than we had anticipated. It ended up costing twice as much as estimated because they had to replace everything under my house. The crew chief was able to negotiate on the price and did lower it by a couple of thousand dollars. They were unable to determine the state of the beams until they got under my home. Even though the beams looked good from the outside, they were destroyed from the inside. The job was scheduled to take two days. With the extra work, the job took them about four days to complete. Everything was very nice and professional. They did a great job.

The inspector that came out to give me the quote was wonderful at explaining the whole process to me and exactly why and how they would do each step. They scheduled me in June, but knew I was in a hurry and were able to push me up a week early. The workers came in and got everything done in 2 days and I was really happy with the job.

We contacted them to assess our home for foundation needs prior to undertaking home updates. They promptly responded to our request for assessment and estimate (if needed). Chad completed the assessment; approach was very professional and included written and verbal description of his findings. Based on the findings, no repairs were recommended and we were invited to contact them in the future if we had any questions or if we noted any changes in our property. We greatly appreciate a service provider that recommends "no repair" if none is needed. Because of this, we would feel comfortable contacting them again for future evaluation and/or repair.

It was a pretty expensive foundation work. They were very professional and gave me a good feeling even after they're done. Among the foundation companies I've ever used, they've given me the best quality and the feeling of being comfortable with the foundation after.

A company representative came out and took measurements, gave us an estimate for work around the outside perimeter of the house. We had a second estimate and Structured was a bit higher but we went with them because of the good rating here on Angie's list. They did come down a little when we told them about the lower bid. They scheduled the work, arrived on time and finished on time. They left the work area clean considering the type of work. That is, they hauled away the extra dirt, replanted the shrubs they had to take out, left no trash or debris in the yard. They did have to jackhammer two small areas on the front porch, so they took out enough of the porch to make a neat square that included both spots. The result is very clean looking. The cost was exactly as agreed. Just as they told us, some of the cracks in the house closed as a result of the work, while others were unchanged or even a bit worse. After the work was completed, they sent an engineer and a plumber to check that all was well. They found no problems. We got a transferable warranty, important for us as we are selling the house. They did a good job and I would use them again and recommend them to others.

Structured did an excellent job. Their estimator, Billy, responded quickly to our request for an appointment. Structured's proposal made sense and was comparably priced to the other companies we contacted. The engineer that came out made a small adjustment that added a bit to the price (3 additional footings for the porch) but in our opinion it added to the quality of the end product. The work crew was scheduled quickly and they worked with us to establish a suitable day. They estimated our job would take about a day and a half. The crew showed up on time and got to work. We had to have some interior piers placed and the crew was very careful to protect the rest of my house from the construction dust. The exterior crew did a nice job with the landscaping. I didn't want my bushed replaced, so they hauled them all off and redistributed the dirt nicely. By the end of the first day all the piers had been set. On the second day the piers were adjusted and everything was filled in and cleaned up. My house is level again and it looks great. I am pleased with the responsiveness, quality, and professionalism shown by Structured Foundation Repair.

The gentleman was extremely knowledgeable about the foundation and company. I found that he gave me lots of information to make the best decision for our property. I just don't think we will be able to afford their work. If I had that kind of money or the ability to finance, this would definitely be a company I would consider to do our foundation repairs.

Philip Waldeck, with Structured Foundations, came to my home in Lake Highlands area of Dallas at my request and gave me a free inspection. He took detailed measurements and took precise readings. He inspected the exterior of the house and under our pier and beam home. He took the time to explain his findings and also physically showed us the issues on the exterior walls. He then explained the work that Structured would be doing to correct the foundation issues. A few days later, a third party engineer came out to verify Structured's findings and determined that Structured Foundations' measurements were accurate and that the proposed work would correct the problems found. Everything has gone perfectly to date. We expect to be enjoying the results of their work for the rest of our lives, thanks to the Lifetime Warranty offered by Structured Foundations.

I just recently purchased my home and was getting ready to start renovations. My house is a farmhouse type and has a converted attic space as a second story. We noticed, after move-in, that the floors sloped really bad in two specific corners of the bedrooms upstairs. During the initial buying phase, these corners where covered with built-in beds and went unnoticed, even by our very capable home inspector. We've had several GC's come to bid on fixing the floors but everyone of them said the same thing, "Need to have your foundation checked" "It's your foundation" etc. Gene was our service tech who was punctual, professional, and personable. He came in and did his measurements which only took about 20 mins, if that. When Gene was finally done, he asked my husband and I to sit down and, of course, I started to expect the worst. Gene showed me all of the measurements that he took and marked everyplace on his sheet where the measurement was taken. Everything was fine. He even went down in the scuttle hole (a funny Texas word, in Colorado we just call them craw spaces) and even checked my 94 year old beams, which he said looked brand new. If I had foundation issues, or knew of anybody that did, Structured Foundations would be the first company that I'd call. Honest people! Real values!

From the moment I called until the job was completed it was great, responsive service. We caught things early but still needed 8 piers installed - the joy of living in TX during a drought. And of course the plumbing pipes busted during the lifting of the house (they warned us this would likely happen) so we had to have that fixed as well. While a painful experience for my bank account, everyone at Structured Foundation made the process as smooth and easy as possible.

I called the company on 5/2/14 and was immediately set up with a structural analyst to come out on 5/6/14. Although I didn't have too many signs of trouble inside the house, I had noticed some fairly serious looking cracks in my brick and mortar on the exterior of the house. Chad Pruitt arrived on time and spent over an hour checking the interior and exterior of my home. Afterwards he sat down with me and explained in great detail what all the electronic measurements meant and what he found during his visual inspection. He also made recommendations on watering, drainage and gutters. Although I had some fairly worrisome numbers from his calculations ("I've never seen a house with these types of numbers show such little signs of stress..."), he said because of the way my house had moved and settled as a whole I didn't need any corrective action at this time. Talk about relieved! I was already writing out a huge check in my head. Kudos for being an honest company! I will definitely call them again for any future repairs and recommend them to anyone who needs foundation work.

We are very pleased with their work. You get what you pay for and I was pleased with the work they did. It is a little more expensive than other people but they do quality work. The responsiveness is very good. I had a problem contacting several people, they didnt call me back because they are very busy this time of the year. I was getting all worried. This people called me, they were very punctual, they were here when they said they are going to be here, they picked up all the trash, and they did a very good job. As far I'm concerned, they get an A across the board.

My house is a 46 year old pier and beam. They were finished in 2 days. I am beyond happy with the results. Only one minor crack in the ceiling and this is with all sides of the house being lifted. The floors are even once again, no more sloping. Wonderful transferrable warranty. Excellent workers, very professional. Edward the job manager for lifting the house could not have been nicer. I shopped around before deciding to go with Structured Foundation. They offered the best price for the work. I truly appreciated that they did not try to oversell me. The original estimator, Jack, fully explained the process and what it would involve. He was available and very patient in answering all my questions. I highly recommend Structured Foundation.

We have several interior cracks and notice some sloping of the floors in the back bedroom. Billy Tatum did a thorough write-up on the house and told us the interior cracks were indicative of seasonal movement common to pier and beam homes. Billy told us the house didn't need any significant work. He took time to explain the different measurements from room to room and why they were nothing to be concerned about. Billy also took time to explain the estimate we had from another company and why the work they proposed ($7k) would not be agood idea for our home and would likely cause severe interior damage. We're so thankful for Billy's honesty and Structured's commitment to only recommending work that's truly necessary.

Fabulous. Definitely recommend. We are selling our house and our potential buyers got an estimate from another company. That company said we needed many piers. We knew that wasn't possible--we have watered our foundation and been very careful--and called a bunch of companies to get additional opinions. Structured's employees were ALL kind and helpful. We were on a crunched schedule and they sent someone out. The results agreed with another company--we need 0 piers compared to more than 10 from another company.

The guy that came and did the evaluation was really good.

They sent out structural engineers. They explained the process to me clearly. They seemed to know what they were doing, and I liked the people that came out. Unfortunately, they built something that I didn't ask for.

It was outstanding work. They did it when they said they would and for the amount they said. There were no surprises. When you call them, they answer. They were very professional throughout.

They had done some previous work for me and was happy with that work. Had them come and give me an estimate on what I thought I needed to rectify some shifting which had caused the bricks to come loose. After hearing what I wanted, he told me that they could do what I wanted but he couldn't guarantee that it would solve the problem. He said the I could pay someone to point and tuck my brick 10 times over, for what I would have to pay them. Really appreciated his honesty and professionalism.

They ran into problems when they dug the holes along the adjoining wall of the townhouse. They were built in the 1960's. The crew head, Randy, explained every move they were making, checked with the main office, and had to add $1000 to the cost. The depth was increased because of original building design, tunnels were needed to reach the proper place for a pier and the dust permeated everything. It took two days rather than one to complete the job. They put plastic over the furniture, but I thought they meant they were going to block off the area with plastic. That is the only problem we encountered. The dust was everywhere and because we stayed in the house, we breathed in all the particles. We should have known to wear, and I suggest everyone wears, mask to avoid breathing in the dust from the concrete. Even with the problems encountered (ones that no one would know until the holes were dug) I would use this company again. They were professional, kept us informed, Randy ran a happy crew, and the work corrected our problem. This is the first Angie's List company we have used and we will depend on the list in the future.

No repair needed and no high pressure to buy something that was not needed! Honest and reliable.

They were able to come out the day I wanted him there. They were able to give us a good thorough evaluation for our new home that we were looking to purchase.

They were punctual and very professional. They took the time to explain each step of what they were doing and then sat down with me to explain further. They were honest enough to tell me that I don't have a foundation problem and they recommended I have hydrostatic testing done instead.

I was pretty impressed. They were fabulous. They got here early. They called and confirmed that they were coming. The foreman of the crew had to come in and do some measurements inside the house to make sure that they were getting it where they wanted it be. He put little booties on so that he didn't track anything into my house. We were pretty impressed. They were very nice. They were in and out of here in less than four hours. It was fantastic. It was all external stuff other than the checking. They didn't have to drill inside my house. They had a crew of six people. They were really efficient and nice. They explained everything to me. Time will tell as far as the end result. Visibly, my house is already better. The cracks that I had are almost gone. They did what they came to do. They were very professional. They didn't charge us more than they quoted us.
