It went pretty well. They did a few things that I would not have done and need to be followed up on. I thought they were very price competitive.

WAS QUOTED ONE PRICE BUT IT NEARLY DOUBLED WHEN WORK WAS COMPLETED. GUY THAT CAME OUT TO INSPECT AND GIVE QUOTE. HE QUOTED A LOW PRICE BECAUSE HE SAIL THAT HE DID NOT FIND ANY ROTTED WOOD BEAMS. BUT WHEN WORKERS CAME THEY FOUND ROTTED WOOD BEAMS ALL AROUND FOUNDATION WITHIN THE FIRST 5 MINS. I FEEL I WAS SCAMED AND WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE EVER.

I apologize for the delay in responding to this review. We did not know the review was here until today (09/08/2016) This customer had work done in 2013. The crew chief noted that the customer was happy with the repairs when completed and the customer paid promptly. The Third Party Engineer signed off on the repairs and the new buyer transferred the warranty to his name in October 2013. We have no documented evidence that Mr. [Member Name Removed] was unhappy with his repairs. He no longer owns the property and all subsequent dealings regarding this property have transpired between Structured and the new owner. I would like Angies List to either remove this review or get additional information.

The team arrived on time, were very professional and got the job done in one day. There were two projects completed by Foundation Repair. We saw immediate results from the pier installation. I had been watching the facia separating from the house which is one of reasons for having the work done. That same day, while walking around the house, I was shocked to see that the facia was back in place, the cracks on the garage floor were almost not visible. The second project was the flooding issue in our backyard. Every time we had a rain storm, we could count of water seeping into our sunroom. I recall being up all night working the shopvac to keep the water from rising in our house. Needless to say, this had become a horrendous situation. When initially met with the salesrep. he suggested installing a secondary drainage pipe which bypassed the current sump pump and the rain water would flow out of the yard using gravity. It is now April and these repairs were done in January and I am so pleased to report back that we have not had any problems with water in the house. Needless to say, we are so very very grateful to Structured Foundation for their expertise in getting this drainage situation resolved. Thank you!!!!!!

I contacted this company for an estimate on a foundation repair project. This house was owned my my mother during a previous foundation problem, and this company gave a bid on the job. Something I did not know. My mother chose another company to do the work at the time (2010). I took over ownership of this house when my mother died 2 years ago, and am looking for estimates on a new problem. I did contact the company that did the last job, but haven't heard back. When I spoke to Structured Foundations this morning, I was told that since the other company did the earlier work and I had called them for an estimate, Structured wouldn't give an estimate until the other company had done their estimate. I could then call Structured and "tell them what they said." Sorry. That just lost you a job. I'm not playing the game between two companies. If you are basing your decision on something a previous owner at this address did, then you don't need my business. I'm sure it makes perfectly good sense to you, but I write the check for the project and it doesn't sit well with me, so I'll go elsewhere.

It was absolutely excellent. That part of it was wonderful. They did a great job. At the end, they were going to put some vents in. I had doubts about vents. The ones he brought were not the ones the guy had told me. I thought they would have to come back the next day to put them in anyway. So, I asked for that night to do a little more research and they wrote it down as I refused. When I called and called and called, he said he would come back out. I never heard anything more. The ending kind of put a bad taste. But they did a fantastic job on the french drain. They came when they said they would.

We have several piers either installed or adjusted. The adjusted piers were installed from previous foundation companies. It was a two-day job. The crew was punctual, and professional. However, at least a month prior to the work being performed, I still hadn?t heard from an engineering firm or utility locator service to set up a time to come out, as they were supposed to do. On at least three occasions, I either left phone messages or emails to my representative, asking when these companies would be contacting me, but I never received a response from him, or anyone else at Structured. It wasn?t until the Thursday or Friday before the work was to start, that someone from Structured actually called to confirm that their crew would be out the next Monday to start work on the foundation. I told them I hadn?t heard anything from an engineering firm or utility locator service, and the person I spoke with sounded kind of surprised that these companies hadn?t been out. However, they just said ?someone will be contacting you soon?. Sure enough, not long after that, I received a call from the engineering firm, asking to set up a time to come out and check the house. Later that day, someone did come out, and I was told that they were just called that morning to come out and check the house. No one from a utility locator service ever came out to the house. That next Monday, the crew showed up to start working on the foundation. Not two hours in, they cut the phone line that was buried in the back yard, so we lost our home phone service. I commented to the foreman that a utility locator service never came out to check for utilities, and the basic response he gave was ?they?re not that reliable anyway?. This was stated on more than one occasion. Instead of owning up to their mistake, they tried to blame it on the locator service. This is not the appropriate response to give a customer. The response should have been something more like ?we shouldn?t have started work until the locator service had checked for utilities?, or ?you?re right, this is our fault?. So, the rest of my day consisted of having to contact AT&T and have them come out to see how extensive the damage was. The final decision was to just replace the phone line from the house and run it to the junction box that just happens to be in our back yard. And of course, AT&T doesn?t do that ? they hire another contracting company to bury the line. So, the lineman from AT&T replace the phone line, but it had to be left above ground until the contracting company finally came out about a week or so later to bury the line. Unfortunately, they only buried the line about 3 inches deep into the back yard. Not only that, where the foundation work was done on the side of the house, the contractors merely buried the line in the top soil that the Structured crew left behind. The line isn?t even actually buried underground. Plus, we have a small area of fencing that divides the front yard from the back yard. The area where the phone line comes from the house is in front of this fence, so the contractors (or maybe even the lineman) hardly even buried the line in front of the fence (basically under some rubber mulch), and then brought the line up out of the ground and threw a small opening between the side of the house and the fence, where they used plastic conduit through the fence and to the back side of the fence, then reburied the line from there. I?m still trying to decide what to do about all of this. Whether to contact AT&T or the contracting company. Other than the phone line debacle (which I can?t blame the crew on, because they didn?t know a phone line was there, and neither did I), the crew did a great job. They were professional, and cleaned up pretty good once they were done. The price was good, and they agreed to cover the warranty of piers installed by the prior companies. They are a good company to go with if you need foundation work done, but their scheduling and follow-ups need work. I don?t know whose job it was to make sure that the engineers and utility locator services are contacted, but this is an area that needs attention in this company.
Description of Work: Leveled several areas around the house.

We appreciate the feedback on the repairs and the events leading up to the repairs. I think I can explain what happened. First of all, the engineers that we use are third party contractors. While we have control over when we contact them to perform an inspection, we have no control over when they actually go. In this particular case, there were several changes made to the proposed repairs that required several visits to the home over the course of 2 months. The original evaluation was on October 14, 2015 and the version of the agreement under which the work was started was signed on December 1, 2015. The repairs were not scheduled to begin until January 11, 2016. The homeowner contacted us on December 23, 2015 concerned that neither the engineer nor the utility companies had been out to the property. Our representative had originally told the homeowner that they would not be out until approximately 7-10 days prior to the commencement of repairs. The reason for this is simple. We don’t want the engineer to go out too early since the condition of the foundation can change. We also don’t want the utility contractors to mark the lines too early because the paint may fade (or get mowed) and the flags may get pulled. Our records show that an order was placed on January 5, 2016 with Texas811 (the utility line marking group). Texas811 requires 48 hours notice for an order and orders automatically expire after 10 days. However, once we make the order, we have no control over what happens after that. Apparently, in this case, they never marked the lines even though we have a record of us ordering and of them receiving the order. As our representative told the homeowner, it is our experience that lines are sometimes mismarked. I hope this provides a satisfactory explanation of the customer’s concerns.

We have had several foundation companies out for estimates, and Structured was the only one who didn't want to start digging right away. He recommended we wait and compare measurements in 6 months to a year, explaining how our measurements suggested we may have a plumbing leak. Turns out, he was right!!! We really appreciated his honesty and spot-on advice, and will definitely be calling Structured when we are ready to do some foundation work.

Structured came out to assess my foundation. Provided mapping with measurements of the property and made some recommendations, but did not push us into any work that we didn't need. The sales guy came out and measured the foundation and then mapped out areas of foundation showing the elevation. Once that was complete he sat down with me showed me all the measurements. He confirmed for me what I knew about what needed to be done. Week or so later, they came out and handled the job. They were on time and always communicated with prior to and during the job. Overall a good job done for a reasonable price.

Prior to an extensive flooring replacement job, we wanted to make sure we did not have any foundation problems under our 30-year-old house. We selected Structured due to their Angies ratings and reading their website. Their representative showed up on time and was very polite. He set up his measurement system and determined how level the foundation was from one side of the house to the other. He found only very small differences across the slab and declared it to be level. He also showed me why to not worry about some very minor cracks in our brick veneer and gave good information on watering the foundation to keep things level. We were pleased at the result, needless to say. As this was part of Structured Foundation's free estimate process, there was no charge for the measurements. If we ever need any foundation work, Structured will be who we call! Thanks for the great service!

Foundation repair happened August 2014. Mudjacking to complete the job happened in July 2015. (delay was completely due to insurance company and plumbing repairs needing to be made), (plumbing repairs due to age/dirt movement NOT due to foundation repairs made) The foundation repair went fantastic. The Structured Foundation owner is who came to initially provide the estimate and he explained everything in terms I could understand. I had also noticed a problem with an external wall becoming detached from the structure and he explained what happened with that too (even though foundation repair wasn't going to fix that problem). Among all the foundation repair estimates received with all the different companies representatives encountered, I went with Structured mainly because of that initial meeting and the explanation / conversation we had made me comfortable that his company was going to do what he said they would do for the reasonable price quoted. I felt I wasn't just another house with foundation problems in North Texas and that gave me a trust level that I didn't find with any other company. Trust - it's a wonderful thing. Even better when that trust is never broken upon completion of the work. Due to the number of piers and the jack hammering that was going to take place, we moved out/stored our big items ourselves and then checked into a hotel. Visited the house everyday, they never fell behind or encountered anything they didn't handle immediately without adding cost. There was also a pretty good storm that came through with no impact at all. Upon completion, the yard was left in the same way they found it with extra dirt around the foundation and the house itself was better after their work. Big cracks closed up and the house was/is no longer sinking. The patchwork for all the holes that went through the concrete was smooth and didn't require any work before new flooring was installed. I didn't even have to re-wash dishes or clothes because they covered everything so well and with approximately 15 interior holes that is saying alot. I waited awhile to post this review because I wanted to give the house time to settle down and ensure all remained well. I will and already have recommended this company for foundation repairs to some neighbors.
Description of Work: Installed 22 pilings total for my home that was imploding in the middle of the structure. There were 15 installed in the interior, 5 exterior that had to go through concrete and 2 exterior just involving dirt.

Greg performed a foundation inspection of the house I was buying. He recommended no foundation work. After I closed on the house and had moved in, I called him back because there were sticking doors and a large crack on the outside of the garage. Greg pulled my file and took the time to explain why he recommended no repairs. He explained what the numbers mean on the diagram he drew for my house and what his guidelines are for recommending repairs. I felt confident after speaking with him that his recommendation was sound and I didn't need to get any work done. Greg also encouraged me to call back in 6 months to a year to have him come back out and check the house again..

Rodney really put my mind at ease about my foundation. While I very gladly did not have to use this company's services at this time, I know who I will call if I do. They were very professional, punctual and informative.
Description of Work: We had some cracks appear around our doorways and windows. When we purchased the house 2 years ago, we had an engineering firm come out and inspect it, and the foundation was ok at that time. But with the recent cracks appearing, I was worried we may have a foundation issue, but Rodney came out (for free!) and took some measurements and compared it to our old engineering report. He said it was all measuring the same. Even before he took the measurements, he thought that it was just the seasonal flex of a pier and beam home, especially since we have had such wet weather followed by dry weather.

As you can imagine no one wants to have foundations issue, especially after moving into a home less than a year. Structured foundation not only did a great job but set our minds at ease and walked us through the entire process. They were punctual and finished the job much faster than i had expected. They had to install piers around our entire house. I had nightmares of a full on construction site at my house for 3 days. Instead when i got home I could not even tell that they did work had my wife not told me all that they had done. Everything that was dug up was replaced, yard was cleaned. They even watered the bushes that they had to replace and plant back. You never want to deal with a foundation issue. But if you have to, Structured Foundation is the way to go. I did not expect that I would have any positive thoughts about fixing a foundation and they sure proved me wrong.

They dug around like half of the house, they put these little concrete piers under there and they kept doing that till they couldn't put any more and then they covered the hole. The foundation still seems to be moving, we live by a creek so that's a long time problem. When they came out, they did part of it. They did another side of the house previously. Part of what they did was warranty work, part of what they did was contingent to that part of the house. I didn't actually pay for it, it was part of the extra on he house. When they filled back the hole you can definitely tell they did something, the dirt is all different, the part is a little different and the flowerbed is not leveling. It took forever for us to get this whole thing scheduled and to get them out here. once we got scheduled, they were fine.

I am having water intrusion issues between the sill plate and my foundation. Structured Foundation came out to evaluate. They were on time and very professional. They gave me a candid evaluation and told me that I had some gutter and soil issues and not foundation issues. They further told me that they could fix the gutters but that they would be more expensive and that I could get the same results for this type of job elsewhere. I cannot tell you how refreshing that is. There was no upsell or grandstanding, just good solid advice. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and neighbors or use them myself if I ever have an issue. I can't speak to their pricing, but I am often willing to pay a bit more for honesty and good craftmanship.
