 + -1 moreI think they third party out the work. It was a $10,000 loan and we are paying the bank but not Sears. So I think they third party it out because it was a husband, wife and their son. It was awesome. It was timely. There were no issues and no controversies. It was just a seamless transition because everything had to be moved from around the house and we have siding all the way around the house. It was all the way around from back and front and we have dogs and it was just seamless. There were no issues at all. I did everything over the phone.
Description of Work: I used Sears Home Improvement to do siding on the house.

 + 0 moreLong story - short I finally had a supervisor call me and she actually told me, "The warranty does not cover acts of God." I asked her what else would damage siding except an "act of God"? She had no answer and said I had to take it up with the warranty company that Sears was not responsible. I reminded her that Sears represented them and as far as I was concerned this was false advertising / representation on the part of Sears. BEWARE!!!! Extended warranties for siding at Sears are worthless.
Description of Work: I purchased siding from Sears for my home. The siding itself was beautiful and installation great. HOWEVER, BEWARE!!! 5 years later I called in on their Lifetime Transferable Warranty to ask them to come out and replace one piece of siding that had been damaged by a terrible storm. At first they said I would have to pay for labor. I distinctly remember begin told by the salesman that I would be fully covered by the warranty that came with the expensive siding, labor and materials.
