Description of Work: These guys moved an antique sideboard with china cabinet and matching table from a house in Weatherford to my house in Dallas. They actually arrived early, were very professional, offered to move other things as needed, did a great job of wrapping/packing the furniture so it arrived in perfect shape, then unloaded and placed it as requested. Stayed friendly and professional throughout. Price was higher than the estimate given over the phone, but I suspect the move took longer than anticipated (Texas-OU traffic, etc.). I'd definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Ugh...second time was not good. (May 2013) This is the second time we've used Nice Moves. The first move was from a 4000 square foot house into a smaller rental house. The move went great! (Sept 2013) our new home was finally ready and it was time to move out of the rent house and into the permanent house. I requested the same crew since I was so happy with them the first time. But this time around was a different story. Considering they just moved us a few months ago, they should have had no problem finishing in the same time if not sooner. Our boxes/furniture amount is also the exact same (if not less) as in may. Negatives... - They were not able to fit everything in their trucks. - They worked much slower than last time. -There were at least 30+ (easily labeled) boxes in the wrong rooms. Most were just left in the garage because it was the closest drop off for them. -they actually tried to leave before the job was done. I know it was getting late but I was still missing so many things. We noticed that many things so we convinced them to go back to the house again. They left two large area rugs, mirrors, water cooler, two big tvs, all patio furniture, misc boxes etc... My husband ended up putting things on their trucks with them. The next day, I went to the old rent house and still found enough things to fill a suburban. -damage done to corners of walls in new house and paint chipped off table. Very sad:( We are so disappointed and would not recommend them to anyone. We payed almost 4000.00, tipped hundreds and ordered dinner for them. I spent weeks hauling boxes to the correct rooms in the new house thanks to their lazy garage drop offs. Also, I just want to say that I feel like I couldn't have made this move any easier for them. Everything was labeled, packed, or wrapped beautifully for the move. I also personally moved everything in the kitchen days prior myself. No real excuses can be made from their side as far as I'm concerned. My grade for them is a C -. My husband gives them a D

Description of Work: I scheduled an on-site estimate a week ago for 11:00 appointment at my home today. I had already scheduled a smaller pre-move with Nice Moves, and wanted to go over this big move of fine arts and large, antique furniture. After 25 minutes past the appointment time, I received a call from the owner saying he would be at my home in 20 more minutes. After being 50 minutes late, I get another call from the owner telling me he couldn't find my "suite number" at a totally different address than my own -- which was a home. When I expressed my concern that I hope this was not indicative of their moving procedures, he was extremely rude to me verbally. His telephone manner was void of professionalism or politeness, so I cancelled my previously set-up move and meeting with him for the estimate, as I recognized that if this was the face they gave to the public, I did not want to do business with them. An owner who is one hour late for an estimate that would have brought a $3000 move and who has the wrong address, does not bode well for the company.
