Went great - Juan was very responsive and did the work when he said he would.

The job was difficult and the result was wonderful. Mr. Martinez will be taking care of the lawn on a regular basis from now on at a very reasonable price.

Quality of the work is excellent -- all edges are neat, no leaves in the flower beds, etc. Great job!

It took Juan a few days to return my initial call but he apologized. Frankly, the bigger companies had trouble with this, too. He met me for an estimate and I called him later that day to schedule the work. He was $400 under what the current landscape company the neighborhood uses was going to charge. We had several phone conversations about what plants he should buy, what color mulch, etc. - down to the last detail. In the end he was unable to get exactly what we wanted but he called to let me know and asked if he should proceed. The work took about a week to complete due to his attention to detail. He wanted to try to find the right bushes, the best sod, etc. Juan refused any payment until the work was completed. He came in about $100 over his initial estimate, but I know we made changes to the plants/materials used. We are so pleased with his work we fired the neighborhood landscape crew and prepaid Juan for 3 months of yard work. If you are looking for a kind, reliable, hard working landscape/yard maintenance company please call Juan. Unlike the and quot;big guysand quot; he is willing to go where the work is and takes the big and small jobs.

Juan is amazing. He's a force of nature! I called and emailed SEVERAL lawn services in the DFW area only to find out they were either too busy for new work, didn't work in Irving or didn't do that type of job. Juan answered my call himself, set up the time to come out to look at my lawn and actually showed up on time! It's been easy street from then on. He tackled my neglected front and back yards (I had just moved in and it hadn't been cut in over a month) with ease and even removed a dead bush from the front of the house for me. All I had to do was point to the other bushes that needed trimming and he was on it. He also gave me some advice on the BIG bush I have in the front of my house. He showed me how he would need to cut it (from the inside) and then told me it would look like a thicket once it was done but it would green back up in about a year. I have plans to have him tackle this bush as soon as it gets cooler than 102 outside. He has shown up every other Saturday on time and my lawn has never looked better!!! You will not be disappointed if you hire Juan. He's meticulous, takes his time to make sure the job is done like you would do it and is happy to work in other little jobs if you have them.

I tried giving Juan the benefit of the doubt but have now been stood up by him 3 times for appointments. The first was an 8:00 am appointment. I called him at 8:30 and 8:45 but go no answer. He finally called at about 9:30 after I given up and gone into the office to say he was at my house. The second time was also an 8:00 appointment. With no sign of him at 8:30 I again called and this time he answered saying that he had “car trouble” and he truck wouldn’t be fixed until 10:00. Trying to be patient with him we rescheduled the appointment for 11:30. At 12:00 I called and he said he was 5 minutes away. Then at 12:15 he called to say he was at my house only to discover he was at the wrong address over 15 mile away. Needless to say, I am not able to critique any of Juan's actual work.

I found Juan to be professional and pleasant to deal with. He came out when he said he would , was on time and gave me an estimate I thought was reasonable. I had requested that my yard be leveled, an area created on the side of the house for a gate and the ground to be cleared and prepped for planting a new ground cover. He said he would come out in 2 days and did so. The job was well done, he even built a small retaining wall to hold back an eroding area. As a pleasant surprise, he removed the stumps of 4 palm trees I had cut down and planted the new ones that were waiting to be planted. He cleaned up the area and neatly stacked the trash. ( he saved me at least a day's worth of hard work by planting the trees ) He came by afterwards and offered other suggestions as to how to help my yard drain better, controlling the bamboo growing all over, etc. I will work with him again in the future and appreciated the work he did. Well worth the money I paid and the time I saved.

GREAT, read above. We will never use anyone EXCEPT Juan Martinez to keep our yard maintained. HE IS WONDERFUL!!!

I have a huge yard full of weeds and needed someone who actually knows about grass to advise me on how to deal with the mess. Juan showed up 5 min early and talked me out of spending a bunch of money on different products for my yard and helped me come up with an affordable game plan. I like his attitude and he was very knowledgeable about different types of plants and grass!

The job was fine - it was adequate. They were cheap. They got the job done and didn’t really go above and beyond. I would use them in the future if they would actually show up again - they were supposed to have come out.

We moved to Allen in 8/2010. The house needed some work everywhere and we were trying to spend a little where neccessary. I got Juan's name off Angie's List because I didn't know anyone to ask for referrals. Juan and his wife came to my home on time and ready to work. They worked hard. Even though the Spanish/English conversation was a little difficult at times, we managed to understand each other. Juan took his time to explain what he planned on doing and how he would do it and gave me a estimate up front. Even though he underestimated his time he kept the price the same. I tipped him $100 because of their dedication and care. So I actually paid $700. I didn't expect his wife to come and work but the gentlmen that came with him when he originally gave me the estimate. They were both very nice people and hard workers. I would higher them again. One more thing: we were debating whether or not to change out the Bermuda grass with St. Augustine since the front yard has overgrown trees and the Bermuda is no longer growing well and other folks I got quotes from said "Yes, changing the grass is the best thing for the yard but costly." Juan suggested thinning out the trees in the spring and planting more Bermuda in the areas it needs it and give the yard some time. The sun will shine through and the grass will grow and we could make a flower bed around the trees and then put less grass down. His suggestion not only bought us some time but also will save us money in the spring when we hire him again.

I found Juan on Angie's List. We had been using a large, professional lawn care company. At first we were happy with them, but they started to raise their rates until it became too expensive! We considered purchasing a lawn mower and doing our lawn ourselves, but I thought I'd check Angie's List first. I found Juan on here, called him up, and we've been using him ever since! He does everything the professional company did at a fraction of the price! Juan is very courteous, honest and does a great job. He keeps our yard looking spectacular year round. We would recommend Juan to ANYONE!

Overall, I could not be happier with having Juan come once a week. I know that when he drives away, our yard will be perfectly groomed.
