The job went very well. It actually came out looking much better than I expected. I thought he was just going to fill in the holes, but he even put texture back up to match what was there originally. I was impressed with how it looked - like nothing had ever happened! I will say it was a bit tough to get into his schedule, but at the end of the day if you are good at what you do, you tend to stay busy. And to be fair, I wasn't in any rush to have the issue taken care of so I did not press to have him come out sooner. He showed up right on time, and got straight to work. From what I could tell he never even took a break. I think his standard charge of $50 / hour is very reasonable for the work performed. Don't be taken aback by his responses to some of the reviews - he is very pleasant in person. I would use his services again and would recommend him to friends and family.

He did a great job. All repairs look like they did when I bought the home. He did all repairs over a period of three days. Very professional company. I will definitely use them again for any drywall repairs I need completed

Dan showed up early every day and even worked on Saturday! He did a great job - great quality and work ethic. I will definately use them again.

When we finally did discuss the work, he asked how high the ceiling were. I guessed 12 feet but I could not be sure. He then mentioned the need for a scaffold which is $600. He then indicated that he usually quotes $50.00 an hour for his service. I asked when he could come out to do an estimate and he asked where we lived. I told him McKinney and he stated that he would not come out for an estimate unless I confirmed that I accepted the estimate of about $300. I then asked him if he was saying that he was not willing to come to McKinney unless I agreed to the estimate and the job on the phone. He said, yep, pretty much. All of this could have been avoided in the first if he had just told me McKinney was not his area. Considering his company shows up when I search by address it was very confusing. After reading the reviews and his responses a little closer, I am not surprised. He is abusive and arrogant in his responses and it is very troubling that Angie's List would accept this type of behavior from a company ranked so high. I am sure I too will receive a negative, bullying response from this company but I am not going to let someone that is in the business of customer service get away with such poor service.

Chris and his partner were very professional. They worked very hard and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them, I would definitely use them again.

Thanks to Chris and Dan my bedroom ceiling looks new again. The hole was fixed within 24 hours of contacting Chris! They were both professional and punctual. The quality of work is exemplary .I would recommend them to everyone. Thanks again!

We hired Chris and his crew to help us prepare our home for sale. He and his crew over delivered in every aspect of the job- Drywall repair, texture matching, wallpaper removal, interior and exterior painting, basic carpentry, door repair. We wold use again and highly recommend.

They have been excellent. They were definitely professional.

Chris repaired the leak, repainted and fixed the drywall. Exactly what he came to do and as a result, it looked great just like the problem never occured. He did a great job and I will most definitely ask for his services in the future. He also touched up some other dry wall and paint spots that needed some attention and that turned out great as well. And, the latter was not related to the original job order.

Very responsive. They advised us on what we needed, provided estimates and performed the work in a very timely way. Excellent quality and they were very careful to ensure everything was left clean and perfect. Highly reccomend these guys!!

I spoke with Chris to come for an estimate. He had me describe the area that needed repair and gave estimate on the phone. He said when they came out they would do the work that day and adjust estimate if needed. We set a date for the following Friday. He said someone would call a couple days before to confirm. Never heard from him or company again.

I contacted Dan via angies list and he called the next day, came over gave me an estimate then did the work. I was amazed with the work he did and the price was perfect. I had a little damaged spot on an upstairs ceiling and after he finished it looked like new. Very highly recommended.

Dan was informative and helpful in sharing different options with us. We told him we would consider the options and call if we decided to move forward. We decided we would not be out the expense of completely refinishing the garage ceiling. We are considering other avenues later on, but we have other projects that have priority in our budget right now.

I called Dan and left a message on his phone Tuesday evening. My call was returned Wednesday morning. At first, they weren't going to be able to fit me into the schedule since they were under the impression I was in Lewisville, but then I explained I live in Grand Prairie, and he was at my house within 30 minutes. He did a walk through of my needed repairs and quoted me his rate of $50 an hour. After I authorized, he got right to work. I plan on using again in the future when I need drywall installed/repaired.

He was excellent and very responsive. He was efficient and professional. Went above and beyond.

Very good. Came when they said they would. Completed job on time according to budget. Even though they are $50/hr.They are the best Value. I did multiple quotes, and these guys are The best. They are 1st class all the way, and Have very little time for chit chat as they are there To do the job, do it well, charge a fair price, and Move on.

Chris and his partner were prompt and worked very fast. They were also very careful to protect the floors and cleaned up each place they worked.

I called Chris on Tuesday for a drywall job estimate. He said that he was interested in the job but very busy and he would call me back in 1 week. After I didnt hear from him I called again the following Wednesday. I got the impression from that call that I was nowhere on his schedule. I described the job again and he promised to call back in 2 days. It's been another week and I have still not received a call. I know his ad says that he is very busy, but being busy and failing to do what you promise are not the same thing.

Responded to phone call in a timely manner. Gave imformative appraisal on te phone & idea of how much repair would cost. Arrived on time. Finished job in the estimated time & did a FANTASTIC JOB! Very couteous & friendly.

I highly recommend Chris - it's now impossible to see where the ceiling leak occurred - a perfect repair at an affordable price!

Home built in mid 1970's. I had removed and replaced all the Gold vanity tops, Gold bath tub and Gold tiles in the shower. I had removed the wall paper and wanted to have the walls textured to a modern day knockdown look. Chris came out and gave me an estimate on a Sunday afternoon, be brought some samples to choose from with him on Monday when he started the job and was finished by Wednesday. I was painting by Saturday. It wasn't cheep, but I read most if not all the reviews up to that point. Everyone that had any work done by Chris was more than satisfied by the quality and professionalism he left behind. I too was very satisfied and would hire Chris again. He may be busy, and you may need to wait for his schedule to clear, but he's worth it. You get what you pay for... The End

I called Friday afternoon and discussed the problem and was given his rate (usually these types of fixes run 3 hrs/$150). Luckily he had an opening on Saturday and was able to come do the work. Upon arriving gave me a updated dollar amount and time frame for the fix. Completed the work in under the time quoted and charged me less accordingly. I had a great experience working with Chris. He was straight forward and professional, along with completely honest about his work and pricing. If you have realistic expectations (unlike those that have left negative reviews) you will be a happy customer too!

It went great. Chris came out on a Saturday morning. Arrived on time and was finished in about three hours. He took great care to cover up the rest of the restroom with drop cloths and kept the mess to a minimum. The job turned out very well for us. Terrific job!

We had what we originally believed to be water damage to a large section of our living room wall. I checked Angies list for a drywall repair person and had some concerns about calling Drywall Repair Specialist based on some of the past reviews. But I decided to call them anyway because it did appear that reviewers that used their services gave them high marks. I called Drywall Repair Specialist and spoke to Chris Golden on Saturday, November 24th and luckily they had some time in their schedule the following Monday (2 days later). Dan Golden (the father I presume) showed up promptly at 9am and upon inspecting the damage advised me that the damage was actually from termites who ate through the paper on the drywall (we treated the house for termites this summer but at the time I was unaware of this damage.) Dan inspected the studs to ensure they were structurally ok and began the repair. He was later joined by his son Chris and both were able to complete the repair in less than a day. They took the time to ensure the furniture was covered, left the area clean and even reinstalled the blinds. Overall I was very pleased with their service and would recommend them.

Chris was fabulous - great, great repair work and super nice. My only wish is that, because they were so busy, I had to wait almost two weeks to get the work done. My situation was not a huge deal so it was fine to wait (hole in ceiling). I'm glad I did - my wife and I couldn't be happier with the quality of work.
