The employee who came to my house was professional and very knowledgeable. I couldn't make up my mind on the type or color I wanted, so he had to come out twice to bring out different samples. I became very busy and have not had time to have the carpet replaced yet, but I intend to use them in the summer.

I recently purchased a home and I wanted to change out the majority of the flooring to an engineered wood. I walked into Carrol Johns without an appointment but everyone there was very friendly and answered all the questions I had. I made an appointment to have my house measured. Mike came out on the very same day and took all the measurements. I had an idea what it would cost based on the flooring I wanted, but it was out of my budget. I decided in the meantime, that I should look into replacing the carpets. My wife suggested we wait a few months until we could afford the engineered wood flooring and keep the ugly, stained carpets the house already had. I told Mike of our decision and he thanked me for calling him back. A week or so later, I decided I couldn't live with the carpets the original owners put in. They were ugly, stained, and had a stench to it. So I called Mike back and I was very pleased to hear he still had our file handy. I wandered back into the store, took some samples home, and found the carpet I wanted. A week later, the carpet was installed and I couldn't be happier. The guys did a great job and performed the installation with such efficiency. Prior to making my decision to go with Carrol Johns, I went to several flooring installation stores. All the other stores carried name brand carpets that were twice as expensive as some of the lines Carrol Johns carried. Carrol Johns also carried the name brand carpets, but I liked the fact that they also carried the lesser known company brands. The quality was still there, but apparently the reason why the carpets I chose were cheaper was because these companies don't spend a lot on advertising. And since I may replace the carpets within a year's time, I didn't want to spend too much money on temporary carpet floors. One other thing to note: the carpet I was drawn to after going through many samples turned out to be one of the lessor known name brands. And I chose the carpet not knowing this. I am very pleased with the work they performed and they are definitely my go-to floor guys for as long as I live in Dallas.

I have to wonder why someone like me has to subscribe to Angie's list to find carpet and flooring people who won't try and knock your head off on price. Carrol John's may be a great company to do business with in terms of performance and quality but their pricing is off the charts. Again, they were $2495 higher on the same exact carpet than the people I plan to use. Are they on Angie's list to give themselves a platform to overcharge clients? I don't know......Danny McDuff

Michael was nothing but profession and forthright. He was very knowledgeable and what he didn't know, he found out promptly. Their products and pricing were very reasonable compared to other quotes I had received. The only reason I didn't buy with Carrol Johns was due to the fact that he couldn't get me a specific carpet product that my wife and I really fell in love with, which his competition did sell. The deal was a little more costly, but I got exactly what I wanted. That means allot when investing nearly $12,000 on flooring.

They did a very good job. We had two small issues with them. They responded extremely well. The carpet they were going to install, had a small stain on it. They found it before they brought it out. The problem was, we had a party to host. They suggested to install the stained carpet for now, and they would install the new carpet once it was in. They did everything they said they would do and the carpet is good quality. They also missed two small details with the flooring. However, they were happy to come out at no additional charge to repair the issue. Overall, it was a very good experience. We are planning to replace more carpet and we are almost certain we are going to use them again.

Everything went smoothly, from start to finish. I called on a Tuesday morning about 8:30 and said I was interested in having the carpets replaced in our newly purchased home, but explained that we hadn't expected to do so, so I was calling kind of last-minute and needed the job completed in about 10 days. Michael called me back later that morning and talked me through our options, carpet vs. hard wood, and we planned to meet at the house around noon the next day. He showed up with a bunch of samples, and answered all of my questions patiently and professionally, even offering his opinion on a few different scenarios, especially where the sunken living room was concerned. His input and suggestions were very helpful in helping me make my final decision for the space. Usually I like to get about three quotes from various providers, but I went with Carrol Johns Flooring based on their great reviews on Angie's List, and the great customer service I had received up to that point, and they did not disappoint! Michael emailed me the following week saying that our carpet was in, and that the installers would be there the following morning. The installers showed up on time, they were curious, and did an excellent job. All in all, I believe they were in our home from about 9-5pm. We had a lot of left over carpet because of the way the carpet had to be cut/installed in our various rooms, so they removed the old ratty carpet from the master closet and replaced it with our left over carpet pieces, even though we had not asked or paid for this to be done. I am so very grateful for this gift! It was a truly wonderful and unexpected surprise, and to be honest, it really needed to be done, we just didn't have any extra money to put toward that. I love our new carpet ("It's so squishy, I could die!" Despicable Me reference, if you've seen it :), and my husband and I will definitely be calling them in a few years when we are ready to replace the mismatched tile in the rest of our new home! .

They did what they said they would do in a timely manner. It was good work and good service. The quality of the carpet is really good, we are very pleased.

The man they sent was very polite and courteous. He showed up on time. He let me know what to expect and told me how long it would take. He stayed true to his word. He was very diligent with his work. There was a spot on the floor that we had him come back to address. He came back and addressed it with no problems. He matched the color as best he could and we were very happy. I love their service.

The service was great. They were really responsive and they were able to cover more floor than we thought. We got a really great deal.

This is to amend our last review of Carrol John's Flooring. Apparently the company had a technical glitch that disabled our initial inquiry from getting through. The company's President, Dan Radcliffe, personally called us upon realizing the situation and set everything back in motion. We look forward to the next step in our planning stages.

AThe new wood floor was done first. The team from Carroi Johns did an excellent job in terms of both quality and completion time. The entire installation process took four days. The carpet was installed after the wood floor was completed. The carpet installation was done by a team of two and took a little over 1/2 day to complete. As with the wood floor, the carpet installation was professionally done and both look great. The Account Manager, Michael Potash, was easy to work with and handled the necessary arrangements to get the two separate teams to do their work on the committed schedule.

Where I had cement - they came up with a great creative solution to use a mosaic, and then finish it with wood trim. It was very creative, and a beautiful solution. Also reasonably priced. They also complete some small trim jobs on a wood floor, that others had said they didn't want to bother with. They aren't the cheapest, but they weren't expensive, either. Very fair for what I got, and I'm delighted with the solutions.

They were very good about coordinating with the other contractors and getting things installed in the proper order. They were good boys and knew what they were doing.

It is beautiful and the installer was excellent. He leveled out where the concrete had settled. He made sure that the hardwood floor was laid out on a perfectly flat base and level. He did extra to make sure it was installed properly.

Lack of professionalism in not showing up for a scheduled service call.

They were extremely well priced and the staff was very professional. I would highly recommend this company.

Mike was my estimator and sales - he was very professional, easy to talk to, quoted quickly, and visited to inspect after we started the job. The first crew that came in was very nice, did a great job, and even helped me move a couple pieces of furniture because they had arrived one day early due to a scheduling misunderstanding they had. The second crew which was finishing the job were nice but sloppy in cleanup. They dripped a few drips of polyurethane in my tile hallway to the room that was getting the floor install. They also left a few stain smudges on the door to that room and knocked some artwork off the wall and broke it. These things were all easy to fix but annoying since I ended up doing it myself since it was quicker. The wood floor looks very good and I think I got a quality job done in the end although there were these issues I mentioned that I just went a head and fixed myself since it was quicker.

..I contacted Carol Johns Flooring through Angie's list and was Michael promptly responded andl, arranged an appointment where he brought samples. We discussed why I was looking to cover the wood floors( to best deal with dog pee odor). Michael discussed the pros of vinyl planks over sheet flooring and I decided that was the most reasonable way to go. We discussed the "pet treatment" they offered and his opinion that it would not alone take care of the problem- I did have this 'pet treatment' done in addition to the new flooring. The guys who removed the floor were very careful with my belongings and very fast at their job. They also did an amazing job at layiing down the new planks. The work could have been done the same week I med with Michael, but we had to delay it to get painters in there first., so the work was done about 2 weeks after initial meeting and deciding what was best done. I would never have thought this quality of work could have been done so quickly, but I was here to see most of it, and it definately was. I will surely use this company again when I have any flooring problems and would highly recommend them.

Overall they were very professional and timely which was appreciated. I can not vouch for their work as I didn't have any done yet.

Overall, very well. We had a little delay before the job started but once we made the final decisions things were done in a timely manner.

We called and asked for a salesman to come out and give us a price for some flooring work. Michael came out and was very professional and knew his product. Michael measured all of the work to be done and gave us a price on the spot. The price was very reasonable. We called back the next day and asked them to proceed with the contract. The installers came on the day and time agreed upon. Jose and his help were very professional and polite. The performed all of the work in a timely manner with the top most quality of workmanship. They vacuumed where all of there work took place and it was spotless when they finished all of their work. I did not tell them until after the work was accomplished that I had many years of experience of commercial estimating and installation of flooring goods. I told them they were one of the most professional companies that I had ever been involved with. I would highly recommend the company for any of your flooring work.

We had Michael come out with samples and make suggestions as what would work best. After other bids we went with Carrol Johns. They scheduled us within a week and were able to lay the floor in a day We were very pleased with the floor. It looks really great.

The estimate was higher than we expected ($6000.00), but they were very friendly and very prompt about coming out for the estimate. We got another estimate from a smaller, more local company and it was $2,000 less. We just decided to delay the work for now. I was really impressed with their quality and their sanders, though. We also had some stains on our tile floor and they were really helpful with recommending what to use to remove those stain.

We spent a considerable time working with different companies to select flooring for our newly purchased home. As you know, prices and selections can be all over the place. When Ken from Carrol Johns came to our home we had an immediate comfort level due to his professionalism and knowledge. We ended up replacing ceramic tile and carpet in the living areas with engineered hardwood and replaced all carpet in the bedrooms. His crew were a father and sons along with two brothers and they did an outstanding job of installation including the dirty job of tile removal and much floor prep for the engineered wood. The result was practically flawless. I would like to thank Ken and the whole crew for a job well done!
