I bought a big deal purchase. It went great. I used it and the guy came within the time limit and took care of everything I needed done. The whole experience went great. The guy was really nice and straightforward. There was never a time that he was sitting around not doing anything.

He was extrememly professional and concerned with quality and detail. He was very thoughtful and even asked me if I wanted to clean behind the oven while it was out and made sure that I was okay with the color of the caulk before he did it. He also did not take calls or conduct any other business while on my job, his phone rang and rang and he said that out of respect for his clients, he does not do any other business while on a job. I will definitely use him again in the future.

The first scheduled time was re-scheduled due to potential rain. He and son arrived on a Monday morning. I provided the ladders, but, after viewing the job needed off the 24 foot ladder, they were NOT comfortable doing the repair. He wanted to use scaffolding. We spent a 1/2 hour looking for scaffolding by phone but availability and price prevented that effort. Since the main job, the job I needed done, was not going to be done, I had to go to plan "B". We went to Home Depot to get the needed electrical items to install the plug. The job took around 30 minutes and it was completed correctly. The faucet could not be fixed, but adjusted to look better. That took about 15 minutes. We started painting the enamel trim. Two window sills had two area that were bubbled and needed to be sanded BEFORE painting. Unfortunately, the son was painting over the bubbles and I had to stop him. The other three window sills and trim were painted okay. An attempt to do touch-up paint on the trim throughout the house. The paint didn't match. The lack of paint matching WAS NOT their fault. It was the paint I provided. Obviously I did not think I got fair value for my coupon. Sean contacted me to "try to make things right". He agreed that due to the unusual circumstances, it was not a productive day. Sean came back to my house and pressure washed an out building for me. I think that Sean stands behind his work and he wants to make the customer happy. I recommend him as a handy man. Make sure you have a reasonable list of things to do. Other than the minor paint snafu ( painting over the bubbles ), I was pleased with the effort.

Shawn is WONDERFUL. I have a lot of work to do around my house, and he is going to be my go-to man for all of it! He was very helpful about the order I should get things done and also understood it was going to be a slow process. I highly recommend him - a real pro!

I sent him the list the night before so he would know what to expect. He arrived on time and I quickly showed him and his son (who was assisting him) each of the rooms where the work needed to be done.They quickly started and were finished with everything except installing the vanity. At that point I asked them to take lunch (which they don't normally do) so I could paint the wall behind the vanity before they put the new one in. I had just finished when they came back and he offered to cut in at the ceiling and baseboards since they were going to finish up early. I had no problem with that! They finished all the jobs probably under 5 hours and I just didn't have anything more for them at this time. Was well worth the cost to me. They were professional, quick and had no problems with anything they did. I would definitely use them again.

When I first spoke with Shaun, he was very upfront about returning calls after the work day so as not to skimp on providing his labor for his current customers and also having a 2-week waiting period due to customers already being booked; he also referred me to his website where I could use a coupon to save on costs for labor. My original intention was for him to only rebuild the sections of my fence that my neighbor's dogs had torn up (and maybe have him do some other things), but he brought a helper with him and when he asked if I would like the entire side of the fence rebuilt (with new materials), I jumped at the chance (the price above is labor and a tip I wanted to provide, since he brought a helper--the materials were a separate cost). Shaun and the helper did an excellent job of recreating my fence with new materials; they even sawed down part of a tree that had grown in the way of the fence so they could rebuild the fence where it originally belonged. I have no doubt that it will last for years to come. I would recommend Shaun to anyone because he seems to be a very honest and reliable person. For my part, I am now creating a list of things that I will ask Shaun to do on a future return visit; I'm going to use the coupon on his website, $399 for a handyman for a day (which is a $100 savings).

They arrived on time, did the job in a professional manner, and cleaned up completely. Absolutely done right.

Shaun and his helper were exceptionally professional, courteous, and neat. No areas were left disshevelled or cluttered. When the painting was finished, they even made sure that where they cleaned their brushes and cans was completely rinsed and all the paint was gone from the area. I would highly recommend this professional. I can assure you he will be back to paint the exterior of our home in the next few weeks.

Very impressed with shauns performance. Paid 300 for 8 hours of work. Shaun called me ahead of time and asked if it would be ok to work 6 hours instead with a helper which i agreed to. I had a huge list of things for him to complete and he completed nearly all of them in the time allotted. He was extremely diligent and hardworking. I hired him to correct several issues I had with a new home I purchased. Not only did he correct these issues, but he also fixed several other issues that i had not noticed until he pointed them out. Quality and quality of work were phenomenal, so much so that I tipped him and his helper each 50 buc[p Just moved to texas and I've already found my handyman for life. Already working on a 2nd list of chores for him for the next time I hire him.

We purchased Shaun's handyman for a day deal and provided him with our wishlist of things to work on. Shaun was absolutely fantastic! He works quickly, does a great job and accomplished substantially more than I ever anticipated! Shaun was great in communicating with us and explained exactly which supplies he needed. Shaun even went to the hardware store with my husband and helped him pick out materials. I would definitely use Shaun's services again and highly recommend him for anyone looking for someone to handle miscellaneous repairs. It seems like he can do almost anything really well!

Pro's: on time, clean, good fast demo job, works hard in his 8 hours CONS: per 3 plumbers (two on site and one who saw the photo's of his work) he used wrong parts on my plumbing. This caused the coupling to burst and flooded my downstairs half bath, ruined a good section of my hardwood floors and two walls had to be torn out. When I voiced concern about another wall being damaged, he took a knife and stabbed the wall three times to show me it was dry. That was just one of the weird things this guy does. He sends a lot of odd texts as well. Said he will make it right, but states he has jobs and I would have to wait. (REALLY?) He did rip out two of the flooded walls, dried them and and taped and floated them, this was on the time that I had purchased for him to do the other job. I am left w/ two unfinished walls, an unfinished ceiling, warped hardwoods, that he says he will repair but b/c I am upset, he will not return to the job. I dont' want him back anyway. Left a jacket and tools. Trying to get him to send his insurance info or to agree to pay for the repair. I think he does a decent demo, but he is certainly not a licensed plumber and should not be doing any work that requires a license.

Arrived right on time,very courteous and worked continuously with a short break for lunch. Finished in agreed on timing and cleaned up beautifully and the cost was exactly as agreed -- no hidden extra's. Outstanding paint job!! Would absolutely use again.

The overall work performed was excellent. I was somewhat late arriving at our pre-arranged appointment time but Shaun waited patiently until I arrived. I explained and showed him the work that I needed to be done. Shaun did the work, especially the kitchen cabinet reattachment job, in a very professional manner. I would recommend him for any handyman type work and would use him again when I have jobs that come up at my house again.

It went very well, Shaun showed up on time and was ready to work. Even when I didn't have all the necessary parts, he found a way to work around what I had and make it happen.

We are trying to get our old home on the market and before that is done we have a few small repairs and interior painting that we don't have time to complete on our own. I thought the coupon was a deal and was willing to be a little flexible with what day he could come. So I called to discuss Shaun's (the handyman's) schedule on the 11th as soon as I got the coupon. It's the 14th and I have since called him twice more and haven't received a return phone call to at least tell me he was too busy to take my work. I bought a coupon with the expectation of immediate service, or at the very least immediate communication, but I have been waiting 3 going on 4 days without so much as a return phone call and have wasted a valuable week in getting my house repaired waiting on someone to call me back. If you are looking for promptness, buying this coupon from Quality Control remodel isn't the way to go. ****** THIS IS AN ADDENDUM to my original review: I had to write a review to get a refund and this was an accurate account of the series of events as I see it. I was not trying to be rude or circumvent your business by lying, I don't know you. Simply do to my own reasons your product was not what I wanted. Nothing personal. But I would like to add for anyone reading this review a copy of the text message that I received from Mr. Davis after this review showed on Angie's list. "This is Shaun from Angie's list, I just wanted you to know that by you giving me a F review it has caused my phone to stop ringing! So I thought you should know that I'm a father of 6 kids and work alone, I'm not some big company that is raking in the money, I work to put food on the table for my kids! S ed you atleast 5 times and left messages 2 times only to get an F. I hope you were able to get your repairs done and all is well. o with that review you are taking food from my family. I searched for months to find a handyman after moving into my home. Shaun was responsive, prompt, professional, efficient and thorough. I purchased 8 hours of handyman service. It was easy to purchase the service through Angie's list. I had a list of 25 items, trying to make sure that Shaun would have enough to do. He completed every item on the list and some that I added along the way. I needed help with an assortment of tasks -- he replaced light fixtures, installed a ceiling fan, hung pictures and fixed my garbage disposal. He even changed a pendant lights and changed them back to the original when I decided I didn't like how the new ones looked. Shaun worked the entire time. Before starting he does a walk-thru to make sure not a minute of time is wasted. He'll get a list of what you need help with beforehand and will tell you what to buy if you need something while he's working on repairs. I appreciated his honesty on what to buy and how much it should cost. Shaun's service is a worthwhile investment. Good handymen are hard to find...Shaun is awesome!!! Highly recommended!!!

6 hours of handyman services were purchased through Angie's big deal offers. The offer was made through Quality Control Remodeling of which Shaun Davis is the owner. We wanted some decks removed in preparation for some patio work to be done. The agreed time to start was 8:30 AM. Shaun arrived on time, considering that he had to travel from Cleveland, Tx. He left Cleveland early enough to arrive on time at the job site allowing for traffic and any other delays. So he is a responsible person. Shaun finished the project before the 6 hours were up so he asked if there was other projects he could do in order to give us the full amount of time we paid for. We did have another project we needed to do but as it was not carpentry we had not mentioned it. Shaun finished the time working on that project. So he is an honest person and will work on any project you have. He is a hard worker and very personable. We are having Shaun return to work on some carpentry projects and will be happy to recommend him to our friends and neighbors.

My experience with Shaun was absolutely terrific. I had my "to do" list ready, and he accomplished every thing on the list in record time. I purchased six hours of handyman services, and assumed the pace of work would be slow and steady to eat up time. Not so! In fact, Shaun was asking what else he could do when all the items on the list were complete. He installed a new bathroom cabinet, sink, faucet, medicine cabinet, light fixture and adjusted the plumbing connections. He finished the trim painting in the bathroom, installed a wall-mount tool organizer in the garage, fixed my privacy fence gate, hung a very heavy piece of art that I could barely lift, and more! This guy knows what he is doing, and can handle just about any project you have. Ladies, we always feel a bit concerned about opening our home to someone we don't know, but I assure you that Shaun was the most respectful, professional and kind person you'll ever meet. He arrived on time, was friendly but stayed focused on the task at hand, answered my questions with courtesy and respect, and was happy to show me what/how he was doing so I could learn some tricks myself! And the real bonus? He cleaned up after everything he did, so I didn't have to lift a finger -- everything was in place and perfect when he left. Shaun is an honest, kind and respectful professional that I would give my highest endorsement. I'm already getting my list together to have him come back for the next round of improvements! I contacted Quality Control through the email link on their website with a request for installation of my kitchen sink, garbage disposal, dishwasher and repair of the sheetrock under my kitchen sink. Mr. Shaun Davis promptly responded and pointed me to the 6hour package to complete the job requested and the appointment was set. On the day of the appointment Mr. Shaun arrived promptly and ready to work. I showed him to the kitchen and he was immediately ready to go. The service he provided was above and beyond (absolutely exceptional) he completed everything I needed and he also installed my double wall oven that I ask about the day of the appointment (not originally part of the service but he made time). He also pointed out a light fixture in my bathroom that needed to be properly hung and with no hesitation he painted the area and rehung the light. I recommend anyone that needs assistance around their home to contact this company. If I have any other things that need completing around the house I am looking no where else, this company has been added to my favorite list!! Thanks Mr. Davis
