Remarkable Painting

Description of Work: They painted the entire interior of my home. They arrived at 8am and were finished by 4pm. They did a great job. The crew was very meticulous about covering everything and dusting floorboards before applying masking tape. They were also meticulous about painting and use brushes and rollers only-no paint sprayers. My place looks great.

Description of Work: I got a song-and-dance about how good their company was and the high moral character of their management so we let them paint the first level of our house. They estimated three days to complete the job. They helped us pick out some colors and we talked about how it all would blend. The first day of paining went well, the lead painter asked us what kind of texture we wanted on the walls, they laid down tarps and covered everything up. The second day didn't go so well. The painter we obviously upset and in a rush. I pointed out a crack in one of the walls they needed to fix. He said it wasn't part of the job(they were doing to whole floor(except for one room) and the crack was on the first floor). After a couple of intense stares he relented and fixed the crack. They finished by 2:00(a day and a half early). They told me they were complete and I did a walk through. It was very sloppy as you can imagine. I would point out sections where the old paint was not covered and they would paint one spot and then they would look at me and I would go to the next one and they would do the same thing. I told them to leave the paint and they could go. I spent the next two days touching up walls and getting paint off of the trim. Nobody ever followed up. I never saw the owners after the first meeting. I will never use them again or recommend them.

Description of Work: My zip code brought me into the Denton County office, and I was quickly sent to call the other Southern Painting partner firm in Collin County. I reached an estimator that promised to see me that very same day (front door refinish). He never called as promised, nor did he show. I called him the next day, and received no return calls. After the weekend, I left a message at the firm, and asked what happened; never received a call. I verified that he was not on vacation, nor did he resign. I then called the estimator that very same day; no response all day. Today is 6/5/2012; I will move on!

Description of Work: Removing wallpaper in entry hall, repairing that wall, priming and painting that wall and down the hall. Additionally the plant ledges in the entry and wet bar area.

Description of Work: They washed down all walls and repaired all holes in walls. They repaired all tapes and bedding. They painted all the ceilings, closets, and walls using two colors. All trim was done in an oil based paint. They covered all floors and furniture in plastic and moved any furniture that needed to be moved.
