oLon was one of 3 different contractors I contacted to quote me on the repair/replacement of a retaining wall in my backyard. At the end of the day and many discussions, Lon suggested that I might be better served with a 3K repair than a 10K replacement given my situation. I can not tell you how refreshing it is to find someone who puts the customers best interest ahead of the bigger sale. Upon completion of the work, all I can say is that I am ecstatic over everything from the reasonable price I received to the efficiency of Lon's crew to the quality of the work done. Absolutely one of the best experiences I have ever had in dealing with a contractor in the 25 years I have been a homeowner. If you are looking for someone who "shoots straight" and will give you everything you want and more, I would recommend you consider using Lon Pinckard. I am so pleased with the work done I am actually looking for anything else I can find that Lon could do for me. I can't think of a higher compliment a customer could pay a contractor.

Want to take this oppurtunity to thank Lon for being so responsive to my wifes concerns. Lon Pinckard was extremely responsive. We set a meeting time and he was very punctual. He understood our needs and made constructive suggestions. His bid was very reasonable; he completed the work very timely and his crew cleaned up the job site. We have several pets in addition to ducks and geese in our yard; Lon and his crew were very comfortable working with the animals who wanted to "help" him (i.e., getting in his way!). Lon also referred us to other contractors for work his company doesn't do. We were extremely pleased with all of his referrals and engaged them for the other services.

My front walk from the sidewalk to the front door had deteriorated. Lon's crew demolished the existing walkway and rebuilt a new one using flagstone. It was built exactly the way I wanted it. In my backyard, there was an area by my pool that would not drain. Lon's crew dug a 120 foot trench and installed drain pipe. My sprinklers and under ground pool pipes were not damaged. Everything went smoothly

The crew did a very professional job and had it all finished in one day. We have had several hard rains since the work was done and the work appears to have solved our flooding problem.

Sandy Rogers (Landscape Designer) came over for the initial consultation to evaluate our needs. After walking the property and listening to what our thoughts were, she sat down with us and we had a thorough conversation regarding all of the possible designs that would be appropriate for our house and yard. Lon Pinckard, Sandy and crew arrived and completed the work the same day. They did a marvelous job and even came out for several follow-up visits. Great work for a fair price. I highly recommend them!

The owner came with his crew at the appointed time. Did a confirmation with me on the work to be performed. His crew worked hard all day. They were all very pleasant and professional in spite of the heat. The work was done as agreed and everything was cleaned up and left in good shape. My only "ding" is that he charged me a 3% additional fee because I wanted to pay with a credit card to get miles. I would definitely use them again for any major type of grading or drainage work.

It went real well, it looks beautiful, big improvement over the railroad ties retaining wall that they removed. Lon Pinckard and his crew did a great job, were on time, and very professional.

He just finished the work on Monday. They are excellent, he kept every appointment he ever had, the work is superior and they did an excellent job. The staff was really good, and the price was good as well.

It went more than great! The crew showed up when promised and worked diligently. The job was done within two days and the crew cleaned up excellent! We were more than pleased with Pinckard Landscape Service and will most certainly use them again in the future. We highly recommend this company!

Above and beyond the call........When have you encountered a landscaping service that provides HVAC service? We were having Lon?s group for the third time ? when my wife found that water flowing down the wall of one of the bedrooms. Mentioning the minor catastrophe, Lon?s son and son-in-law immediately went inside, determined the problem in that attic, stopped the water ? thus problem was fixed

Lon and his crew did a wonderful job. They were on-time and stayed late to get the job done in a quick and efficient manner. They even mulched an area of my yard that wasnt in the contract as they had some leftover time/mulch. Our whole backyard was transformed the day before we had a large family BBQ and everyone kept saying how great all the changes were!

The designer understood my budget constraints. She also seemed to have a good grasp of my style, the kinds of plants that might complement my home and its decor. I kinda had her do a beach theme decor. She understood that I wanted that beach-y feel and so I got some sago palms to kind of give me that tropical theme that I wanted. I also have a dog and so I asked her specifically to design a little walkway path behind the pool so that my dog can take care of his business. She did that which is good. She took into consideration money for the dog even. The install was quick; they were done in a day. It's important to me because I'm a working woman. In fact, I don't think I even had to close off the dog door because they told me they'd walk around them and they did and they didn't let him out. So they locked up really well. They're really a good company to work with.

Lon is extremely professional and did an outstanding job! We hired him based on all of these amazing reviews on Angieslist, and I am glad we did! He had quite a busy schedule, so when we hired him there was a 4-5 week wait before he got to our project. It was definitely worth the wait, because our front yard went from being the 'ugly duckling' of the street to the 'beautiful swan!'

It went very well and all the brush was cleaned up and removed the same day. The only hitch was some unclear communication between myself and Lon. I should've have questioned the amount of sod and instead made assumptions based on what I thought we had agreed to around our garden in the back. I would use them again for sure, they do a first rate professional job.

Tyler worked hard all afternoon. He provided some ideas and examples of services he would provide... excellent service!

He and his team were timely and professional. The work took approximately two days but he also had a large crew. To anyone considering a significant job such as this, I would recommend removing any existing plants in front of the wall because it was virtually impossible for them to avoid them. Lon was very informative during the bidding process and while he was not the least expensive bidder that quoted me, I felt his price was fair and his reputation was worth paying more for. I would definitely recommend his work and appreciate his flexibility with my schedule and the quality of the work. I will be using him again in the future.

Lon kept us well informed of ongoing landscape issues. Made additional requests for shrubs and flowers the day of work, and all that work was also done. Prompt replies to my text questions about watering new sod. Excellent communication about all aspects of work. Extremely pleased with outcome.

They were quick to respond to my original phone message. Sandy Rogers, Landscaping Designer, showed up at the date and time set for her first visit. She listened to our thoughts about the landscaping and came back with a design and plan to excced what we had envision and a cost perfectly within our budget. On the day of installation, Sandy and a team of Pinkard professionals showed up on time. They were dressed in uniforms and were not temporary labor. They perfomed the installation swiftly and left no sign of them being there except a beautiful landscape in my front yard. I plan to bring the same group back to landscape my backyard.

The overall went well. We found someone to install the drain, add gutters, and paint the house. (a package deal)

Lon came out very promptly and gave me an estimate. His price was fair and I chose his company over 3 others I got estimates from. All the others wanted to do things I didn't think were necessary and very costly. He scheduled the job promptly considering it is a very busy season. His workers were pleasant and did a great job of putting in the grass and cleaning up afterward.
