It was excellent. They were very professional and they're timely so I would use them again and I would recommend them. The owner was very hospitable and he told me what exactly he's going to do. I would choose them for their service.

I reached out to several contractors and selected one before I heard back from Pinckard. They were great and timely in their response but I had already selected another company to do the work. No work or estimate was requested from Pinckard and I will keep them in mind on my next project.

She worked well with us to do the design and choose plants, they came on time, and completed the job on time. Very easy to work with, flexible, and professional.

We have used them 3 times and they always do a great job and we feel like we get more than our money's worth!

The crew was professional and the work looks great and appears to be making a difference already. They also cleaned up nicely when they were finished. I would definitely use them again.

We are very pleased with our attractive new retaining wall. Lon was very helpful in planning the project, and we appreciated his working with us on modifying the design in order to reduce our costs. Jaime and the construction crew did an outstanding job, even modifying our wooden fence to pass the wall under it around the corner of the foundation. Well done, and highly recommended!

Scheduling was a bit tricky as he had a big job in the works, but he fit me in. Installers were very professional and did a great job. We were very pleased with the results.

They were knowledgeable about the situation, and came in and gave the proposal. He was good and straighforward with me, and wanted to do what I wanted to have done. The bid was very straightforward and easy to read. He was right on time, and he was the person to make the decisions on the bid, and that was nice. I will probably use him to go ahead and do the project.

Overall, I was very pleased with Pinkard Landscaping. The landscape designer, Sandy, was very creative and detailed. She listened to what I had in mind for plants and landscaping, then created a master design that we really liked. We had lost most of our grass in the backyard due to trees and too much shade, so decided to eliminate the grass and replace with with a well-designed landscape of small trees, shrubs, and ground cover. We had flagstone path and walkways installed throughout the yard as well. Lon Pinkard, (owner) came out and assisted with some finishing touches on the landscaping. I found Lon to be very personable and trustworthy along with strong Christian values. His entire staff and landscape workers were all great to deal with and very professional. They cleaned-up afterwards and took care of fixing a few lose stones we had in the flagstone. I would certainly recommend Pinkard Landscaping for any landscaping needs.

We ended up not using them. Their bid was really pricey for what we were trying to get done. We had a couple of different people come and look at the project. We didn't really put that much money into it. We were real impressed with their professionalism. Apparently we did not emphasize enough that this was a small courtyard that we didn't want to invest a lot of money in.

Lon was very helpful from the beginning phone call. It took his crew much longer than he anticipated (3 days longer due to rock) but he stuck to his bid. The gentlemen he has working for him were professional, courteous, and timely. Overall, I was very satisfied with how the work was completed.On top of the good work, Lon's company cleaned up way beyond my expectations. I will call Lon again when I have drainage or landscape needs, and felt my money was well spent. Only wish his crew would install gutters to compliment the installation of french drains.

Initial responsiveness / reply to query for meeting and quote was good but unfortunately it went downhill from there. After about a week of phone tag a meeting was arranged (the phone tag was no ones fault, just ordinary busy schedules). Since landscaping reviews requires adequate daylight we agreed on a Thursday Jan 16th at 4PM (North Texas). Obviously 4PM is early end of day for anyone professional so business meetings had to be cancelled in favor of this landscaping assessment review (landscaping offered for discussion was significant, likely at least in the range of $20,000+). Taking time off from work, promptly arriving back home at 3:45PM. By 4:17PM still no show, and therefore made a call to Lon Pinckards cell phone, two signals went through and then straight to voice mail. Did not leave a message as it was clear at that point that the appointment was a no go. No return calls, no apologies or reasons for the no show were given. No calls from Mr. Pinckard there after later in the evening either. I guess Mr. Pinckard has too many projects already on his hand since he feels that it is ok to waste other peoples time and money. I will as a result not use his services and move my business to someone who does believe that my $$'s and time are worth respecting.

Pinkard Landscape Services is the best. They created a design and maintenance solution that perfectly fit my needs. They came out to the house and walked through all the possible options with my wife and I to develop a great solution. My lawn always looks great because they take the extra time to do the little things right.

We contacted 3 landscape companies, all from Angie's list, and requested landscape designs and bids from each. We met with representatives of the 3 companies at our home and provided them with our ideas and answered their questions about our ideas/preferences. Our knowledge about plants is limited so we needed some direction in that area. As for the 2 companies who we did not choose to do business with one did not provide a design plan on paper so that we could get an idea of what the finished design would look like. The second company's design included some items we had specifically told the landscape designer we did not want and we felt, due to the differences in what we discussed and what was proposed, that the designer had not listened very well to us. That landscape designer didn't attend the meeting when the design was presented to us so we did not get a chance to discuss that with him. The company we chose was Pinckard Landscape. We met with their landscape designer, Sandy Rogers, and she spent a lot of time with us, much more so than the other companies we met with. She asked a lot of questions and patiently showed us pictures of plants she thought would be appropriate for our landscape. Sandy's passion for her job was clear. When we met with Sandy to see her proposed design we were immediately pleased. It was clear she had listened to what we wanted. She had taken the time to add color to the design which made it much clearer what the work would look like once completed. She made a few adjustments to the original design and also made some additional suggestions that worked out great in the design. Sandy scheduled the work with us and at each step the workers showed up as promised and cleaned up after they had finished. The stone work (edging and retaining wall) was done first and looks beautiful. Second came the removal of old trees / shrubs / overgrowth and finally the installation of the sod and new plants. During the process Mr. Pinckard called to make sure we were happy with how the process was going and he came to our house on the day that the plants were installed. Sandy kept in close contact during the entire process and quickly answered any questions I had. We ran into a couple of delays due to the Thanksgiving holiday and then a major ice storm but all the work was completed within a month of our approval of the design. The bid we received from Pinckard's was comparable to one of the other bids we received (although a bit more) and the remaining bid was considerably less but we were unhappy with the design proposed by that company and their explanation of the charges. We feel the design and the work done by Pinckard Landscape were well worth the price we paid. We are very pleased with the job and we will definitely be calling Pinckard in the future if we have more landscaping work done.

I'm very impressed by these people and the company owner, Lon. I was concerned about some of the issues of the home I was purchasing and Lon and his crew spent time inspecting and offering me good information. Although I have not contracted with Lon yet, I plan to use his services in the future for hard-scaping and landscaping. He is competent, kind, honest and caring. It is important for me to deal with people with integrity -- and I know I will not be disappointed in the quality of the work.

This is one of those companies that reminds you of the way business used to operate. Their word is gold and they deliver more than what is expected. I cannot speak highly enough of this company. All facets of work was done to perfection, from irrigation to digging beds and planting. The work was done right, quickly, and professionally and everything was clean when the job was done. Everyone from the owner all the way down the line takes pride in what they are doing. I was so impressed by Pinckard that I have since decided to have them build masonry borders around my front bed, and I have employed them to take care of all of the yard work and maintenance every week.

They have excellent services and good price.

Slight miscommunication at start but once it was worked out, everything went absolutely great. Have had several inquiries as to who did the work and we passed on the contact info. Neighbors are impressed!

Lon's team (led by Jaime) came out on Friday to demo and remove the existing retaining wall which had seriously degraded and even rotted in places. They were thorough and professional. The following Monday, an even larger crew came out to create a new retaining wall made of mortared sandstone. They worked hard and had the entire wall (approximately 75 linear feet in total) completed in just one day. They are artists with sandstone, shaping and chipping and breaking the large pieces to get just the shape they need for the next spot in the wall. They carefully worked around and restored existing sprinkler lines and heads. The next day a crew of two came back to lay down the sod on top of the newly elevated section of the yard behind the new wall. The sod itself was just okay (other sod I had put in by a different provider has done a bit better in taking root) but the crew was as professional and efficient as they were during the other steps in the project. I am quite pleased both in terms of the quality of the end product and the price I paid for the work. I recommend Lon Pinckard for any hardscaping that you might require.
