Description of Work: My brother's house flooded due to a busted supply line to the cam ode. He was living out of town at the time, so the water ran a few days before being noticed. Anthony, at Venco, was awesome. I was a construction superintendent, so I was expecting some short cuts to be taken, but the never once tried to get away with things that were not done correctly. I highly recommend them.

Pretty well overall.
Description of Work: At the end of the day, we all worry about who we can trust to take care of our construction/renovations. I read the reviews on Yelp and Angie's List and decided to take their offer to fix our house (our upstairs toilet flooded our house). State Farm said Venco Construction was one of their preferred providers so that made us feel better. Everything went well over all. Communication was quick and efficient. Anthony always did his best to take care of us and honestly, our house is in better shape now then it was before. All the different constructions crews that came in to our home were professional and did high quality work. I grew up working in construction/working on houses myself so I recognize a job done right. If you need some construction/renovations then Venco Construction will take care of you. You can TRUST them. The only area of constructive criticism I would say is in the area of customer service. I would give it an 8 out of 10. Building relationships with clients are very important and can go a long way. Thank you Venco Construction for taking care of our house and family. I wish much success to Venco Construction. Shawn Tuthill

VenCo's Kevin Schulte, the project's supervisor, did a fine job of planning, organizing, and coordination. His people were highly competent and energetic. Even though some of the carpenters took an unexpected day off, the project was nevertheless finished on time, and the quality of the work was outstanding. An example of VenCo's dedication to quality is the master-bath cabinets. Although the cabinets were originally constructed mainly of particle board, the reconstruction used 100% birch plywood.
Description of Work: VenCo was engaged by State Farm for reconstruction in my house after a flood cause by a broken valve. VenCo replaced baseboards and corner moldings, patched and replaced sheetrock, rebuilt the master-bath cabinets, replaced grout, trimmed two closet doors that didn't clear the new carpet, and repainted walls and woodwork.

Unfortunately we have a cursed house. The house as flooded twice from faulty toilet hoses. Frank and his team were one the contractors our insurance listed. I looked them all up on Angie's and Venco was the only one, and had an A rating. I could not be happier with Frank and his team. They were polite and courteous and receptive to our crazy work-life schedule. He also referred me to another great contractor for flooring. We will be having Frank do our master bath and kitchen in the future.

It was mostly an insurance claim and I only paid for the upgrades. The whole thing was probably $13,000 but I only paid $2,000. Kevin was my general contractor and he was awesome! He was immediate to respond to my emails or phone calls. There were never any major issues, only minor issues but every issue was dealt with immediately. All of the workers were extremely clean and professional. They left the house cleaner than when they came in. Every contractor was awesome, they did a great job, the bathroom is beautiful, and I would highly recommend the company.
Description of Work: I had VenCo Construction fix a water leak in the upstairs bathroom. They had to take the walls out all the way to the studs and they basically remodeled the whole shower part. I got new tile, floors, and I also replaced the tub and sink. They whole thing was painted.
They were recommended to me by my insurance company because it is an insurance claim. We are in the middle of a contract with them right now. They were recommended by my adjuster. They are scheduled to complete it by the 9-10th of January. When we are done with the remodeling, between the insurance and me I would be paying $30,000. They are re-doing my hardwood floors and rebuilding some of my kitchen cabinets. I have a leaky dishwasher. They are going to do cabinet work and painting. They are going to do new kitchen countertops and interior painting. They are also going to do some minor electrical work like moving outlets and stuff like that. In some cases when they don’t have guys on staff they would sub-contract guys with another company that they work with. The person that is managing the job his name is Kevin Schulte. He is awesome and he's got attention to detail which I am not used to having from other contractors. Everyone else I have had in the past have been sloppy by comparison. They might be a little more expensive and it is kind of you get what you pay for. I plan to use them again for whatever work I have.
Description of Work: I am using the services of VenCo Construction to do some remodeling in my kitchen and flooring. They did some minor electrical work as well.
They did exactly what we asked them to do and it wasn’t an unreasonable amount over the allotted insurance claim payout. We enjoyed working with them. They do very, very large projects and it is unusual for them to go a smaller project like this but they did it because it was part of a larger insurance claim. We wouldn't normally have selected them. They are a preferred provider for the insurance companies and they have people that are assigned to work with the claims so that part of it worked very smoothly.
Description of Work: We used Venco Construction as part of an insurance claim because we had an air conditioner leak that ruined some carpet, drywall and baseboard. They replaced that work and they did a little bit of extra work to remove a non load-bearing beam and they repaired the wall and repainted. It was a doorway frame that we wanted removed. They didn't do the flooring.

Venco was good and prompt. The owner came out himself to give the bid but it was a little high. The owner was great, not pushy and very knowledgeable.
Description of Work: Venco gave me a bid. It was to put hardy plank on the house.
This included framing, fixtures, sheetrock, and everything. They did an excellent from start to finish.

They were very expensive but very dependable. They did all of the insurance company work related to claims and damages. They were highly coordinated and did an outstanding job. I don't remember as to how I got connected with them but when I heard that a particular insurance company used them for all of their work, I thought that they must be highly dependable. But, most people would say that they were very expensive but my logic is that we get what we pay for. They were outstanding and I would strongly recommend them for any work. It was quite a job but the hardiboard was guaranteed for fifty years and so I am not worried about anything going wrong with it. It was a board made out of concrete. They were top-notch and they were very proud of their work. They were very punctual. They managed to get the job completed in the time frame that they said. They had first class professionals working for them. That all goes along with the fact that this particular insurance company used them for all of their insurance work. I thought that their price was reasonable. I was in a mess in terms of the siding at the back of the house and the chimney siding because the company that made them went out of business as the law suit destroyed them. I was too late to do anything about it. They have not been here for a while now. I have been thinking of calling them again to do some minor repairs but would not do that as it is not in their line of work.
Description of Work: I have used the services of Venco Construction in the year 2004 or 2005. They reinstalled the siding on my house. I had plastic siding that came originally with the house and had started to rot. They replaced all of the exterior siding at the back of the house and the chimney siding. They also replaced all of the part that was under the roof that hangs out over the yard with hardiboard.

Sent his plumber who checked under sinks and under dishwasher and finding no leak, did potable and sewer line pressure test. Sewer line okay but said the potable lines were losing 1-2 lbs every 15 minutes, which he said meant a very small leak. First cut our drywall at area behind kitchen sink, then in closet behind 1/2 bathroom and finally in formal dining walls just inside wall where outdoor main line entered house. NO LEAK FOUND! I called Frank, the owner, and questioned this process. He wasn't friendly and seemed indifferent and told me this is the way they find leaks. I called my insurance agent to complain about Venco and requested they send a leak detection company. They did, and in 30-minutes they performed a water pressure test and found no loss of pressure or leaks in the lines. They rechecked under the sinks and dishwasher, and under the dishwasher, found standing water and mold growing. They determined the pump was leaking in the dishwasher appliance. I was left with a $375 bill from Venco and numerous walls cut up which caused substantial and unnecessary drywall repairs. Needless to say, I told my agent I did not want Venco back at my home.

When I bought my house, I called my Real Estate Agent and said I wanted immediately to sell the house because it was so dark with strange colors. My agent suggested that I remodel the house instead and got me in touch with Venco. Frank is so nice and personable. Frank is really on top of his crew and is does good work. He has a great personality and sense humor.
Description of Work: I had them do a total internal remodel in my home. I had everything tore out and replaced. I have been working with this company for over 15 years.

The job took much longer than originally stated and I found the owner to be rather patronizing and smug. Their plumber was terrible and for a remodeling company they did not provide good design assistance. I had to do all the legwork of choosing and purchasing fixtures and finding a vanity/tub material I liked. They had 1 design center recommendation with limited choices so I chose another company for vanity/tub material which left the owner miffed. Venco had no creative suggestions. My bathroom looks the same except that it is different in color with a smaller shower to accommodate a spa tub I upgraded to. During the work, they left the bath open to a smelly inner wall problem so long I had to call and complain. And now, 4 years later, I have new plumbing problems. Our insurance company recommended them and I feel they have probably been riding the insurance gravy train.
Description of Work: Remodel our master bath due to water damage. Replaced two sinks and vanities, the shower stall and bathtub. Repainted the wall. Did not move any plumbing or replace any cabinets or re-tile our floor.

The job from start to finish took longer than I liked. It was difficult getting each step scheduled. The job leader, Rick Shores, was hard to reach at times. The quality of work was uneven. The texturing and painting were great. The tile installation was average at best. There was too many inconsistencies in the tile spacing. The final step of caulking the tub door had to be redone because of bad caulk. That problem was handled well.
Description of Work: Partial Master Bathroom Remodel; completed removal of damaged drywall around tub done by me; sealed wall framing; replaced drywall/cement backer board around tub; installed wall tile around tub, new tub fixtures and tub door; replaced part of linen closet door jamb; retextured small wall area near tub; repainted entire bathroom including linen closet.
Our house burned down because of faulty electrical wiring. We really thought that they did a great job. Everything was done on time and our State Farm insurance covered it. Frank, the owner of Venco is an honorable man. He did what he said, that he would do and haven't had any problems with anything so far.
Description of Work: They had to re-build most of our house, four bedroom, 2.5 bath, tile & hardwood flooring stucco exterior and shingle roof.
