The Picky Maid

They were good. They said they use natural products but they wanna use bleach on the shower. They'll probably use some products if you have it because they don't bring products that are not natural, like the abrasive stuff you use on the shower. She asked me to use it and I told her that it's fine. They came on time. They were like laid back but I like that. I'd prefer that because I was trying to explain how I had clutter everywhere and they were nice about it. I'm sure they would have been even more professional if I wasn't talking to them the whole time. She even offered to come back and help me organize. They did a good job and I felt really good after they left. If I could afford them, I could use them every week.

Paid for a detailed cleaning. -staff did not have product to clean floors -staff did not clean base boards or shoe molding -staff did not clean between railing on the stairs -staff did a terrible job dusting. For instance large corners of our shelf was not dusted or the dusted around coasters instead of picking them up. This reoccurred throughout the house. -staff did not put garbage bags back in the trash cans -staff did not clean the floor at all in some parts of the house, missing large corners of a room or complete rooms -mopped the wood laminent with water, did not have any floor cleaner. -staff moved limited furniture (only when asked) after my husband found they did not even pull out stools and clean under tables -staff did not vacuum furniture Terrible service! Not really sure what we paid this cleaning service to do... My husband had to go back and clean everything himself because he had a client scheduled. Will not use this service again. They had a girl that we felt was just wonderful and the best one that we have ever had. However, she quit working for them. Then she came to the house and told us that she wasn?t working there anymore. I am still using her, but she is not with them. The Picky Maid is a great place and the girls over there are all good housecleaners. We spent $120 for their service and we thought that was a little high, but we liked their service very much. They were very good. They are great because the girls did a good job. They used to come on time. The girl we are still using came out with each girl the first time and went around our house with them to see if there was anything unusual they should know about. She made sure that they don?t dust around things. She had them pick everything up to dust under it and so forth. They had two ways of doing the service. They had $110 and $120. They did extra for $120 like made beds, cleaned the blinds and all kinds of things. We took the service for $120 because I am handicapped and I can?t do much of it. I would use their services again.

We are very satisfied with the work they have performed here in our home. They are always on time.

I live in a 1000sq ft condo and have had them come out three times (about every third week). The first time a few areas were missed that were a little out of reach for the housekeeper but were obvious to me being 6'2" but they corrected those the second time and also did a good job the third time. One person always shows up at the beginning who speaks English if you have concerns. They are eco-friendly which I liked; I came home to a nice clean smell and not a heavy chemical smell.

They did a great job. We had a lot of clutter, and they were very nice about it, They were very thorough and left the house shining.

I needed a new cleaning lady because my old one had a baby and took the baby to work with her! I didn't like the liability factor in this! So, I contacted 2 cleaning services that I found on Angie's list: the first never responded, the second was way too expensive. I got the Picky Maid number from my hairdresser, she told me they had been cleaning her salon and her home for years and was very happy with their work and their prices. She also told me they could give quotes over the phone. I contacted Mary Tello and spoke with her briefly over the phone giving her details about the house: how many bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. She referred me to their website and told me to look at their various cleaning "menus". She could quote me a price over the phone for the initial detailed cleaning over the phone. She said she would be able to give me a price for the weekly services after she had actually seen and worked at the house first. All pretty reasonable stuff. For the $220, the four ladies stayed for 4 hours and cleaned the house from top to bottom very thoroughly. I was very pleased. I was even more pleased when she said the weekly clean would cost $135 for regular or $145 for a more detailed weekly clean. I now alternate those 2 services. I am very happy. One day there was a misunderstanding because Mary had a family emergency and wasn't there. I emailed her, the next week and did the extra work at no extra cost.
