both times i worked with rent a man, rick responded quickly to my request for an estimate and worked closely with me on the design ideas for the remodels. he offered many helpful suggestions and always listened closely and respectfully to all my ideas. i often want designs and materials that are creatively different than most other people and rick finds a way to make my ideas an vision happen while talking me through the possible ways my design may be not as functional as i'd like. in the end we have always come up with something that functions beautifully and looks just the way i want it.
his custom cabinets are the highlight of the remodels. they are flawless and designed exactly how i wanted them. he had a lot of great ideas about making them in a way that maximized the space and look the best. 
rick's team shows up when they say they will and get finished when promised. and when there have been times that i wanted something changed or done a little differently - rick just takes care of it. he's not happy until i am. 
a story that makes rent a man really stand out for me happened when i sold a house they had worked on. the work had been done 5 years before i sold it and the inspector had a question about it (you know how over the top some inspectors are). i called rick and he came over right away - after 5 years. he checked it out and changed something for me the next day so i could go ahead with the sale of the house. he also sent a guy over immediately to fix a problem another contractor (who wouldn't stand behind his work) had created.
rick is a trustworthy guy who is easy to work with and who gets the job done. i'm extremely pleased with the work he's done on both my homes and plan on having rent a man do more work for me in the future.

These guys followed up after the quote, arrived on time when they said they would start the job, worked expeditiously and finished well within the time estimated. Another added benefit was that they gave good tips and ideas on how to make this remodel project more affordable and work out most efficiently. I will definitely call on them again and would recommend them to anyone that needs remodeling. They are listed and in great standing with BBB also. Very reputable company- I had a great experience with them!

A couple of years ago I had hired him to blow in insulation out of the attic. He was supposed to vacuum it out. He dropped off two people to do the work, but they said they couldn?t get a hold of the vacuum. I think it was preposterous. They weren?t all that professional. So I cancelled it and did not use them for the job. The bathroom work that they had done earlier was fine, though.

Great. Original time estimate was for 10 days. They came in on Monday morning and finished by that Friday. Everything was done right the first time, no redos. They had one accident during the job - an employee kneeled on our stove top and cracked it. It was replaced without question that Saturday.

The thing I liked about them was with all of the different projects that I had they had their own crew and I didn't have to deal with sub-contractors. They cleaned up after themselves everyday. There were no surprises or hidden cost, he gave me a bid to start with in the contract. I would recommend them.

The employees were all courteous and the work was generally good, although one employee's work had to be redone by others. The biggest issues were: timeliness of work and being able to contact them. The job went over deadline by about two months due to an ordering mistake on their part. Normally, that wouldn't be such a big deal, but it was often nearly impossible to get a response from the contractor on the issue. In fact, if they had just checked in with us earlier, we could have solved the ordering problem. So, we had a half finished kitchen for three months, which added to our costs since most of that time, the kitchen was unusable and we had buy prepared food. All the while, we couldn't get our phone calls returned until we gave them written notice that we were considering the job "abandoned." I would consider them for smaller jobs or larger ones only if I had plenty of time to manage the work.

The quality of the work has been good. The first, smaller jobs were excellent and the cabinet work is good. The biggest problem has been the pace of work completion.
