Description of Work: They came out and took measurements based on what I was looking for. They were pleasant and easy to be around, but after they left we NEVER heard anything back from them! No quote, no response to calls, nothing. EPiC fail and complete waste of our time.

Description of Work: I had some termite damage that needed to be fixed, I looked on Angies list and found these guy. They were offering a special so I paid for a full day of repairs on Angie List. They called the next day and I told them what was going on. They said that the first full day that was available would be the following Tuesday. I said that this damage was several months old at least and a couple of extra days wasn't going to be a problem. The next day they called back and said that there was a cancellation and wanted to see if they could come on Friday a few days earlier than we talked about. That wasn't a problem for us either. | |They showed up on time Friday morning looked at the damage and figured out what materials would be needed. It took awhile to gather all the materials because they had to go to a specialty lumber yard to find one of the boards needed. I had already suspected this would be the case, it is a odd width and length and I had never seen anything like it at the local Lowes or Home Depot. It addition to replacing the damaged part of the exterior wall he had to replace some of the studs in the wall also and repaint the area when done. | |Because of the time needed to find that specialty piece they were not able to finish the whole job in one day, this was a Friday and it was probably 98% complete. I'm sure I could have finished myself but being able to do it and actually getting to it, well I decided to have them come back on Monday to finish and then got them to do some fence repair and a couple other odd jobs that I just haven't had time to take care off. They put in another half day on Monday. | |There are one or two more things I should of asked them to do but didn't think of at the time so I may be calling them back at some point.

Description of Work: I have used Mr. Handyman of S. Austin for several different repairs most reently to do some small jobs around my house in preparation for selling it. Mr. Handyman did some painting, deck repair, sheetrock repair and installed smoke detectors inside each bedroom to comply with new city code. Their work has always been top quality, the repairmen show up on time, are extremely professional and always clean up after they have finished the work. I would hire Mr. Handyman of S. Austin again if I had not left Austin.

Description of Work: Well basically the guy they sent out only had time to hang 6 small bamboo blinds in two hours. I was hoping to get a ceiling fan hung too but he did not bring a tall enough ladder. They should ask when scheduling how tall are your ceilings. Total joke!

Description of Work: If you ever have a racoon get in your house and tear up the place, like I did, these are the guys to call. Called on a Monday, Gary came on Tuesday to make appraisal. David came on Wednesday to do the repair work. David was great - repaired and patched wood paneling in den that had been torn up; replaced a door that had been torn up, which was kind of tricky; replaced some drywall; reinstalled some molding that had been torn down; patched a concrete place at door entry. All work was done very well. David was very pleasant and professional.

+ -1 moreThe job was completed in exactly an hour and I felt the handyman went above and beyond to make sure the pet door was not only installed properly, but that the other issue with the door was worked out even though it wasn't something I had originally asked him to do. He cleaned everything up so there no trace of the previous work. I was very satisfied with the quality of the job and would hire this company again.
Description of Work: The handyman installed a pet door in my home. He also solved a problem having to do with the main door sticking in the frame.

+ -1 moreI had called several other handyman companies and he was the most honest about his billing practices. His bills are in accordance with the job performed. It had only taken about an hour and a half for him to finish the job. He had done a neat job and I was very pleased. He had told me that he was well trained and told me about all the other things that he could do. I feel he can do almost any kind of handyman work, and I would definitely use him again. He was very friendly, and I felt really safe having him in my home.
Description of Work: We had used Mr. Handyman to fix our front door that wasn’t closing properly. He had put new weather stripping around it and realigned the locks.

+ -1 moreThe handyman arrived on time and spent about 6.5 hours on both jobs. He did a fantastic job repairing and adjusting the atrium doors. It works better now than it ever has. He left the work site immaculate completely cleaning up everything. I have used this service before and they work by a half day or full day charge. This job was a bit more expensive than I anticipated but he could not just make a basic adjustment to correct the problem with the atrium doors. Some of the extra cost was due to materials he had to purchase.
Description of Work: I recently had my foundation leveled which resulted in an exterior door sticking badly. The doors are double atrium type with hinges in the middle. Only one side of the door opens. The handyman had to completely adjust the door in the frame by removing all the molding (which did not break). In addition to that, he completely replaced the old weather stripping, cleaned and put WD40 on the screen door track and caulked all around He also replaced old weather stripping on my front door.
