Joel was extremely professional and a saving grace on our project. We had been left high and dry by another contractor and Joel and his crew swiftly came in to save the day and keep us moving forward. A 2 man crew of his could do the work of 4 other guys and with smiles and respect. He charges per sheet to hang so it's important to give him an accurate number as that is how he pays his crew. Joel is the type of guy that can take every bad experience you've had with the abundantly growing bad contractors in this town and push those memories to the background. I look forward to the next opportunity I have to bring Joel in on one of our projects with better terms for him. He really goes above and beyond. This project took me forever to complete (apologies on the delay on writing the review) but it would have taken even longer without Guzman Drywall. Thank you for everything, Joel.

Joel first removed the popcorn ceilings in the den and also painted the walls. He is professional, skilled, honest, reliable and reasonable. We can't say enough good things about Joel and his crew. The walls and ceiling in the den look beautiful! We since had him remove the popcorn ceiling in the kitchen and breakfast room as well as paint the walls. He had to refloat and texture the drywall and it looks perfect! We have asked Joel to remove the popcorn ceiling in all the rooms in the house and have scheduled the next job for the dining room and living room next month. His pricing is fair and the workmanship is well worth it. Joel is a delight to interact with and we recommend Joel for any popcorn ceiling removal and drywall work.

Joel was highly responsive, a good communicator, professional, courteous, reliable, highly skilled and on top of all that, one of the most pleasant contractors I've dealt with in years. I learned my lesson and will never again ask a general contractor or a handyman to patch drywall; I will call a drywall professional instead, starting with Guzman Drywall. The patches were done beautifully, with well-matched textures, and the new ceiling looks fabulous. They did what he said they were going to do when he said they would do it, and cleaned up when done. Excellent work.

Called Joel on a Friday late afternoon. He came out Monday morning for an estimate and once I agreed we set a date for Thursday of the same week. He called me on Tuesday and asked if we could switch to Friday (which worked for me). He arrived right at the set time and got to work. I had some issues with the installation of the surround wall of tub. it was smaller than the opening, because of this the edge of the tub was right at drywall line. Joel floated a piece of drywall over existing wall to make it work. At the end of the day everything matched up and walls looked perfect!! I will definitely be keeping his number handy for future work!

The ceilings were done beautifully. It was just a beatiful job. He was pleasant and easy to work with. He has real pride in his workmanship. I will probably use his services again!

I was in need of Joel's drywall services after the electrician I hired to install my ceiling fans opened up too big a gap in ceiling when trying to install the fan box. I was in a crunch to get the project done by the holidays so wanted the drywall repaired asap. I made a number of calls and nobody could come out until the next morning. Then I contaced Joel. He was at another job, but said he could make it that evening. His previous job ran long, but he still made the time to arrive at 8:00pm...well beyond the call of duty. The work itself was done very quickly and looked great (as compared to a similar job I had done when the aformentioned electrician created a similar gap when installing another fan...the electrician set up the other repair...this time I went it on my own). Joel was professional, courteous, and personable. He cleaned up after the job and was very careful on the homes newly installed wood floors. Though I wish I hadn't the need for his services, Joel made a unpleasant situation much more bareable. His prices were also more than fair, especially considering the quality of the work. It is clear that he takes pride in what he does. Prior to leaving he made sure to provide tips on how paint the newly installed drywall which was much appreciated. I would not hesistate to use his services again in the future.

I called Joel to get an estimate on installing new sheetrock in various places around my home. He agreed he could come out the very next day. I explained that I needed to get the sheetrock in the kitchen completed on the Tuesday after Labor Day because the tile installers were scheduled to begin on Wednesday. Not only did Joel give me a fair price, but he said he'd complete the work ON Labor Day if I could be available. Joel showed up at the exact stated time. He completed the job with the help of another gentleman that day. I was very pleased with his work and his efforts to clean after completing this work. I would definitely use him for future jobs.

They were punctual, clean and did a great job. I used Joe's service again to repair damage to a wall. Again, he was reasonable, punctual and clean.

Joel called and was able to schedule the work sooner than he had previously stated, so he and an assistant arrived and set right to work. The job was done quickly, cleanly and the finished product looks great. He is very friendly and takes great pride in his work and it shows. We would definitely call him again and recommend him to friends.

I called Joel on Wednesday and he wasn't sure he could get out for an estimate until Monday, but we said that we would keep in touch with each other. Friday morning he called and said he could come by in the morning for the estimate. His price was half of another estimate and he could get it done that afternoon. I'm sure we were just very lucky with the scheduling. He came back on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up well. Between email and phone calls, the process was super easy.

It was pretty good. There were a couple of places where there is some pitting, but overall it is pretty good. They were very competitive.

Joel and crew installed dry wall to a gutted "bonus room", including the vaulted ceiling and large pantry. They put the dry wall up in just one day to this rather large room. The next day he had his tape/float crew come in and after a two-day process of floating, sanding, smoothing, then Joel came in that afternoon and finished the project with a wonderful orange peel texture. The room looks wonderful and I can't say enough about the professionalism. His crew is extremely work-oriented, punctual (were even early!), courteous and attention is paid to detail. They were conscious of keeping as much dust as possible out of the remaining portions of the house and they cleaned up everything. I'd hire them again without hesitation. Very fast response time and even did extra that they were not required to do. This is a great business.

We can't say enough great things about Joel and his crew. They were on time, courteous, speedy, and did beautiful work. And with all the extra work he added in, the fee was more than reasonable. It looks like half our house is brand new (which is saying a lot since it's 60 years old)! We also greatly appreciated Joel taking the time to explain what was going on. He obviously takes great pride in his work, and it shows. If we ever need drywall work in the future, we will absolutely hire Joel again. We're also telling all of our friends! Fantastic person and contractor.

They did an excellent job. Three men spent two days working at the house. They arrived early both days. They actually did more work than what was originally bid for no extra charge. They took it upon themselves to find cracks in the closets and repair those - something I didn't think was worth making part of the original bid. Joel even repaired a big hole in the other duplex unit which was also not part of the original bid. I offered to pay him for this but he refused to charge me extra. I have been rennovating this house/duplex for 9 months and have dealt with many contractors - not once has any contractor ever done extra work for no charge. Joel is the unique in that respect. Quality was also excellent. They did a good job matching texture - several different and unusual types. Only thing which might have been better is cleanup, but it wasn't bad.

Joel was able to come over on short notice. The quality of the drywall repair and texturing was excellent. He also made sure to cover the floors to prevent any drywall or texture material from getting on the floor or carpet. The job was done in a timely manner and cleanup was good.
