The team of four people arrived early each day around 8 AM and left normally around 7 PM (sometimes later). The quality of the repairs and painting was very good. Total duration was one week (with no work on Sunday). Everything that could be removed from the walls before painting was removed. This is good! Some painters just paint around things to save time and the work ends up less professional. Here is a humorous example of removing everything before painting. In our master bathroom we have a medicine cabinet installed on the wall. They removed it, taped it shut, and painted the wall. When finished, they hung it back on the wall BUT hung it upside down since the medicine cabinet has four mounting holes on the back to mount it whatever way the customer desires. I first noticed a problem when the mirror opened from the other side. It was easy for me to correct by lifting off the medicine cabinet and hanging it the right way. I didn't even tell the painters about this since, to me, it is further proof that they removed items before painting the wall. A caution on veritcal blinds: We had a previous painter who came in and painted some rooms having vertical blinds. To remove the blinds, they must have just yanked them down, damaging several. A claim was put in for that painter to pay for replacement, which they did. Anyway, for this painting job, I (the homeowner) removed the vertical blinds myself to avoid damage.

The service went well. A crew came to paint the entire exterior of my home. They did a good job and finished on time. Scheduling was easy and I was pleased with the outcome of the service.

It was good they were very nice. The deal was not clear in explanation as I told them when they came out to see my home. It jumped an additional $2,500 which is more than I had budgeted for.

It didn't go well at all. The first problem was that they wanted me to prep the bathroom with tape before they arrived, and I ended up paying an additional fee for them to do it instead. One part of the two-man crew was ill-prepared for the job and didn't even have a ladder. Both painters did a very poor job, got paint on my furniture, and made a complete mess of things. Ultimately, it was awful, and I had to hire another company to come in and correct their mistakes.

Great with painting and the quality of paint has held up very well. Recommend going with this company. Very friendly and helpful with paint colors. Was patient with us when wanting to change colors slightly lighter.

Job was for a full repainting of my home exterior, which is part brick and part wood siding. Also included painting trim and replacing a wood column that suffered from partial water damage. I requested bids from three different contractors - at $2900, Sun Painting was less than half of the other two bids. One was as high as $8500. I was extremely impressed with their work. The project was completed in four days. I carefully inspected the trim and couldn't find any evidence of bleeding or shoddy work. There was a delay to the start date but only because we had a lot of rain and wind impacting their ability to get started. I will be recommending Sun Painting to any and all of my friends who need painting done in the future.

It went really well. We purchased a big deal and basically requested they paint the house the same color as it already was. They did a really good job - professional and on time. They also repaired siding where needed. Overall a great improvement on the appearance of the house as it was looking a bit shabby. I would use them again - in fact we used them for a rental house - exterior painting, and then some interior painting on a 2nd rental house.

These guys rocked! Super job! They were in communication the whole time, and worked with me to make the process as seamless and easy as this big a project can be. They were friendly and went out their way to leave everything glowing. Everyone from the owner, the office manager, the head painter, to the assistants hired for the day were friendly and professional. I am SO pleased with the work. The house looks great and I love the meticulous detail and care they took. I just wish I'd called them sooner!

The house was painted very quickly - wrong color! So they got the right color paint and corrected the problem - I actually got 2 coats of paint out of the deal.

We hired them to paint a house that had been smoked in for at least 30 years. It needed an overhaul! It looks totally refreshed now. There was a room that still has spots that are leaking through, but I told them and they offered to come back out to see if it could be fixed. Painting was to start on Wednesday but it started on Thursday. I was not informed so I sat and waited for nearly an hour before I called and was notified. Trash was left in the living room and a bedroom that we had to clean and pick up. Some taping and paper was also left behind. A little frustrating because we had a flooring company coming the next day, so we had to clean upmore than expected.

I was pleased the results of this job. The painters were friendly, spoke English, and were very professional. The price was in line with the two other bids I received off angies list. (one was a bit lower, and the other was in line). The owner walked the house and made some knowledgeable comments about the process. The actual bid indicated that there would be two coats applied to the house which was one of the reasons I picked this company. The other bids didn't indicate two coats. The process of applying two coats is to spray one time horizontally and then spray a second time vertically. What I don't know is if the other painters would have done the same thing and not just indicated it on their bid or if one coat is a horizontal spray. All in all I was very pleased. Sun Painting does require 50% up front, the others didn't btw. One other bit of advise, if your house was painted in the past by someone else, I'd recommend you do a slow walk around and record any old paint mistakes by them. We found a number of paint issues from previous painting (in some cases my mistakes :( ) That way when you do the final walk over you'll know if the new guys messed up or not. I didn't find a single mess up by them fyi. Also I learned that once you get dried paint on bricks your are out of luck, a wire brush might remove it but then you'll likely damage the brick. One other thing, the owner gave my an angies list discount of 20%. You can take that for what it's worth in light of the other bids. I'd recommend he just give his best price from the get go. I guess some people like to think they are getting a deal.

The service was fine. They were nice to work with and they cleaned up after themselves. I liked them other than the additional charges and I would probably use them again. We did have to call them to touch up some work and they did get paint on some of the metal railing as well on the home.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It was fine. They came out fairly quickly. They were easy to work with. The pricing was pretty good.

He canceled the service because they were too busy to do the work. They shouldn't't participate in the offerings if they cannot handle the amount of work they received. I contacted Angie's List and they were able to refund me my money with no problems.

Everything from start to finish went very well. After the initial call we scheduled a time for an estimate and Sun arrived on time. Estimate was very reasonable and in line with a competitor. We scheduled the painting and the crew arrived as scheduled. Paint was of good quality and the painters completed quality work. They cleaned up their material after the project was completed and thanked us for the business. We are very happy and will use Sun again for future projects.

Very well. Great painting and touch-up job. Cleaned up after themselves. Very professional and fast.

They did an excellent job with painting. They didn't leave a mess when they were here. They left some paint cans and a trash bag that I informed them about, but they still haven't come back to pick it up yet. They sent 2 painters out each day they were here. The painters were very nice, courteous, and professional. The scheduling was fine, but it was postponed a few times because of the weather.

They did a great job... I bought it with Angies List coupon and it they matched my current paint perfectly. All the caulking and fix up looks good, the tape job was great with no paint on my brick. Makes my house look almost new.

Everything went well. The two-man crew arrived on time, was very detail-oriented, and did an excellent job with the painting. Furthermore, they didn't leave behind any messes or paint stains, and they were highly professional and helpful at all times.

My overall experience with them went very well.

Mark came out and gave a quote. In person he seemed professional and interested in future business. The price was reasonable; $950 for three rooms (I provide paint). He said Friday would be as early as his crew could make it. Come next day (Thursday), he texts/calls saying he has a crew ready that day and looking for a job. I agree and quickly run to buy the paint. His contracted 2 man crew comes over and asks me if I have tape and drop cloth. I say I do not. They call Mark and he tells them to tell me to buy some and he will reimburse me. Pretty strange. The paint job is fine. No issues. Pretty hard to screw up a simple paint job but it is possible so I give him that much credit. After the job I call Mark to tell him I was pleased and told him I was interested in future business. This was the last time I communicated with him. Despite my requests via texts, Angie's list, phone calls, and emails, Mark is apparently too busy to respond. At one point his assistant Ann responds saying he thought I gave the business to someone else. I correct her and she says that she will have him contact me that day. He did not. I text him. He still doesn't respond. Long story short, guys that subcontract paint jobs are a dime a dozen. Since the job itself is not that specialized, you are paying for convenience and reliability. I did not find it at Sun Painting.

They removed most of the wallpaper but there were sections that needed further removal after they were done. I took care of the remaining myself. All in all they did a fair job for the time allotted, and left the remaining for me to finish up which was better than me having to do the entire job. Note: Unsure of the exact date or cost.

The crew Sun subcontracted for this job were all Hispanic Christian family men which I found to be a big plus in work ethic and working out task details. Very little English spoken, but the team leader's wife was the translator, and when she wasn't on site, she was available via telephone. Used this service to paint inside of house being prepared for sale. For this purpose, this was a good offer and well worth the money. If you are looking to have your home painted where you live, you may want to spend a little more money and contract with someone with a little more experienced crew. The 40 hour time constraint tends to make them rush to get finished towards the end and things did get a little sloppy. Now that I have experienced both ways, a contract bid by the job would be my preference to purchasing a number of hours. I had no problem with the service, although they are swamped (a good sign) and were a little slow to work us in on the front end. Once engaged, they worked very hard to get the job done to my satisfaction. The crew was cordial and friendly and overall I was satisfied with the job.

It went great . Easy scheduling. Arrived on time. Had two painters for an 8-hour day. Did a great job. Neat and clean. When they finished a little early, I was going to let them leave a little early but they looked around and offered to do other small areas they had time for like a guest bathroom and a hallway. They made sure I got my full 8 hours plus :)
