Mark was very personable and quickly responded to our request. He gave us an estimate broken down in two ways since we were asking to use an Angie's list deal and have them do extra work over and beyond the deal. His estimate came in under another estimate that we had received from another company. The workers were scheduled to arrive on a Wednesday, but called and said that their other job went longer than planned. This upset me at first because they didn't call the night before when they would have known that they couldn't make it, but waited until the next day. This is the only complaint that I have. When the men arrived on the next day, they worked quickly, professionally and did beautiful work. They cleaned up each day and left at a reasonable time. They did everything that I asked and more! If there was even one flaw, they quickly responded and made everything right. I would recommend this company to others!

I bought this special as a gift for family that lives in the area. They ended up not using it and made the repairs themselves.

Very good communication throughout the process. Team always arrived on time and on the scheduled days. The paint job was completed in a timely manner. The front of the house had lots of ivy roots on the brick but after the power washing it looked great. In an ideal world there would have been more sanding/scraping of the wood trim in certain areas but for the price I think the house looks great and the cost (with coupon) was several thousands of dollars less than other quotes I'd received.

The company has been wonderful, very responsive and very through. We had another company come and quote to do the exact same thing, they told us we had extensive water damage and it would be over $12,000.00. I always wait to tell contractors that I grew up in a construction and home building family for this reason- to catch the liars. Sun painting did the exact same thing for $3,750.00. We bought the Angie's list "buy it now" for $1,249.00 but knew that we would pay additional to cover the extra decorative front door, the wood and siding that needed to be replaced and the removal of the gutters. We could have gotten premium paint but we have already spent a lot of money fixing all the other issues the seller failed to disclose. We had to wait for the weather to be good for 3 days of work so it was about 2 months after we bought the buy it now - I was completely cool with that. They did offer to come sooner but I didn't want them to do partial and then finish about 4 days later. Painting, caulking and power spraying in the wrong temp is never a good thing. The first day they showed up, we went over the home and what would be replaced, which colors to use and what sheen. Our home is 2 story and about 3800 sq feet. The front and sides are mostly brick. The back is mostly siding. The sun is always facing the back so we painted the two doors a dark grey and the rest of the home white to reflect the summer heat and the reflection from the pool. The front of the home has a Tudor like siding but the home is styled a french/ traditional. So we did a reverse paint on the siding with a medium grey and white trim. The grey matches the mortar. Now it is decorative instead of looking like the builder ran out of money to put in brick. The previous home owner did a half-assed job of spray painting metal siding for the roof that borders the brick. It was part white and part brick color in wavy spray lines. Sun Painting matched the brick and painted the metal the same color. It now has a professional, finished look. They did a great job. Now everything is not only well painted but also caulked and sealed properly. Like everything else the previous owners did, the gutters were not installed properly so there was a lot of work to be done from water damage. You can not tell where the seams are because they did a great job. I would definitely use them again.

They did okay but they did not clean up well after themselves. I had no complaints with the work, but they left a mess in the bathroom that I had to cleanup afterwards.

I purchased an Angie's List deal in 2012 for Sun Painting. I didn't use the deal right away and contacted them on two separate occasions asking if I could still use the deal. Both times they answered promptly and said yes, but it was my fault for not getting an appointment set up. This time around, I got my act together and the folks at the office couldn't have been nicer. The painters called ahead to tell me they were on their way. The paint in a bathroom was pealing on the ceiling. It looked awful, but now it looks fantastic! The painters were very professional. Thank you Sun Painting!

They did a good job. They did it within a few months of the purchase and there no extra charges. They worked the whole time they were here. They were good at what they did. I don't know if they filled in any holes in the wall. They seemed professional. They arrived on time and got the job done that I was asking for. They cleaned up after themselves. I was happy with them and with the big deal it was a good price.

I contacted several Angieslist-rated painting companies to solicited bids on painting the exterior of my home and doing some touch up work on the interior. Sun Painting was one of three companies contacted to bid the job, and Sun was eventually chosen to do the exterior painting. The interior work is still pending due to other some other factors like foundation work. I made an appointment for a representative to come out and assess what needed to be done and provide a quote. Mark Brozio was assigned and showed up right on time. Mark walked the job and did a great job of assessing what needed to be done on the exterior and interior. The cost estimates he provided were very exact and greatly appreciated. Mark was very knowledgeable most helpful on making some suggestions and discussing alternatives for doing the work. Having been doing painting work for 32 years, Mark knows his business and it shows in his work too. Sun prefers Sherwin Williams paint and applies 2-coats. They provide 3-year warranty as did the other bidders I spoke to. Sun will roll/brush or spray but prefers spraying since they can control the overspray better than controlling the drops that come with rolling. Sun, does not recommend the use of TSP for cleaning the wood prior to painting which was new to me but once the rationale was explained, I fully agreed with Mark. I chose Sun to do the exterior work over two other bidders not only because Sun's bid was the lowest (33% lower than the next lowest bidder) but more importantly because of Mark's knowledge and attention to detail that he and his company take pride in. Mark noticed several things that to him indicated I might have exterior problems. Sure enough, several foundation companies I had look at the exterior recommended foundation work. Getting this foundation work done delayed getting the exterior painting done and for sure has set back getting the interior painting done since the piers have to be given time to settle. The office staff at Sun (Ann and Teddy) worked with me time and time again to reschedule the work to accommodate an ever changing schedule to get the foundation work done first. You could not ask for a nicer group of folks to work with. Finally the time came to do the work and the fellows that came out did a great job. It has been a while since the work was done and I have forgotten their names but not the work they did; there was two of them and it took a good part of a week to do the whole house.. It was not an easy job with a lot of scrapping and preparation work. I followed Mark's suggestion on spraying and it worked out great too although this too took a lot of preparatory work to confine the paint where it needed to be. I had written into the contract that I was to inspect the preparation work before any paint went on and the fellows came an got me regularly for my approval. I did not have to ask them to do any additional scrapping or priming. They did it right the first time which I greatly appreciated. I had been watching the lead guy do the scrapping so I already knew he was doing a great job!! All things considered, it was a great experience with Sun and mostly likely, I will use them to do the interior painting too. Their bid was very competitive with the other two bidders.

I had an initiall scheduling issue with this company. I was a little irritated. What completely impressed me as, with no excuses made, the owner took his time and the opportunity to make it right. He reached out via email and asked what he could do to earn our business. In this day, it is rare for someone to actually understand Customer Service and go above and beyond for not only his customer but for the reputation of his business. He came out, reviewed the job, gave us paint recommendations and even cost-estimated another room. His office followed up to schedule the appointment. It was less than 1 week from him viewing the job. His painters arrived on time and with all the necessary equipment. I have old, very nice wood floors and they took great care of them. I have no drips no scraps nothing but perfection! They were timely, polite and left the area very clean. I WILL use this company again and I will recommend them both on and off Angie's list. In a time when Companies seem to just say "oh well" and on to the next; this company will value their jobs and their clients. I appreciate that. Well Done Sun Painting! Customer for life.

I had a great experience! The only issue that made me a little upset was when they called to tell me they no longer use Sherman Williams paint. However after researching Pittsburg Paints, I realized that it's still good, quality paint. I'm very happy with the results and I will definitely use them again!

They arrived a little early which was just fine. They did everything that was in our agreement. ADVICE: I don't if other painting companies do this or not, but if you are going to paint the outside of your house, I STRONGLY suggest that you already have a paint chip with the color you want. The company will have their own color wheel and will give it to you so you can tell them what you want and then they go buy it. I only had about 1 hour or a little more to make this decision and the color I picked was kinda an unfortunate color to have picked. But I only had a little bit of time. It is not their fault. I didn't know and perhaps to others 1hour and half would be enough to pick the right color. BUT still, I am happy with the overall experience and quality of work.

Purchased the "Deal" for $1199 for 1600 sqft. exterior house painting, and my house is 1400 sqft. 1 story ranch house. Gentleman by the name of Mark came out to write the estimate, and the "Deal" was only going to cover painting the trim and only the front of my home. To paint the sides, back of the house, doors, and a small repair in the eaves, it would be an additional $1100. Basically the "Deal" is to paint the trim only, and I felt this was a little misleading. When the painters came out, they told me it would be additional cost for my garage door, and when I tried to contact Mark to discuss this, I never received a call back. We never knew what time the painters would be arriving, or finishing for the day. They even showed up on a Sunday morning around 8am without any sort of notice at all. On a positive note, we we're happy with the end result, but the communication was very bad.

They were the best and I will be using them again very soon.

I contacted Sun Painting for an estimate on December 30th, and they were able to schedule my estimate the same day. Mark came out and we walked through the house, and I told him everything I needed painted. He gave me a quick estimate and I went ahead and called his office to see if I could schedule my painting the same week. The whole process took about an hour and I did it on my lunch break. On New Years Eve, their office called and told me that they could come and paint my house on Friday January 2nd and could probably finish the morning of Saturday January 3rd. I went ahead and scheduled them for the 2nd, and was told they would be there around 8:30am. I was also told that if I had paint swatches for the colors I wanted I could find a Pittsburgh Paint Store (The paint they use), and get samples for when their guys arrived. If not, then I could just wait until the second, and give the guys the paint swatches, and they would go to the PPG store and pick up the paint. I went ahead and picked out four Benjamin Moore paint colors that I was interested in, and went to the PPG store to get samples because I wanted to test their color matching ability as well as test the paint colors on my walls. After painting a few spots in my house to test the paint colors, I chose the two I wanted and then waited for the 2nd to arrive. On the second, a team of four guys arrived a little earlier than 8:30am. I had already taken down all of the paintings/pictures from my walls and they mentioned that this wasn't the norm and that they would've done it for me. Oh well, saves them time I guess. I gave the guys the two paint samples, and they said that they could probably be finished by the end of the day (BTW, my house is about 1900 square feet). I scooped up my two dogs, gave them a key, and left for the day. I probably dropped in 3 or 4 times over the 8+ hours they were painting, and each time I was happy to see the care they were taking in painting the walls as well as the care they took in covering my furniture. I was also really happy with the paint color as well! Around 6:30pm I came back to my house and the guys were finishing up my master bedroom. They told me they didn't need to come back in the morning, and to let the master dry for a good 2-3 hours before I started "rubbing up" against the wall. They also said I could bring my dogs home as well since most of the areas (except for the master) were dry. They also said to e-mail, or call them once everything has dried to make sure I was happy with everything, or if they needed to come back and touch anything up. The next morning, I woke up and was enjoying the new paint color, and walking through the house, and I noticed that there was one pot light that they missed painting around. I could totally understand why they would've missed it because I didn't even notice it the night before because I had all the lights on (and so did they). However; when the light was turned off, and the natural light was coming in, you could definitely tell it was missed. I texted and e-mailed Mark with a picture to let him know, and one of his guys came back out and fixed it. He also did one more round around the house to make sure they didn't miss anything else. He apologized profusely, but I told him it was an honest mistake. I was extremely pleased by how quickly they responded when I noticed the issue. All in all, I was very happy with Sun Painting and would highly recommend them. From the promptness, cleanliness, and professionalism, Sun Painting, was very capable and I'm very happy that I chose them over some others that I spoke with.

We have used Sun Painting on both major and minor projects and we have always found their personnel and their work to be totally satisfactory and professional.

My single-story home in Irving, Texas was in serious need of repair, restoration, and repainting of the entire interior. I selected Sun Painting based on their strongly favorable reviews in Angie's List, excellent communication, professionalism, and accommodating job management. The work was consistently professional, careful, diligent, and of excellent quality. The only negative was that the job took seven days instead of three as originally estimated, but I attribute that to unexpected complexity of the work that could not have been reasonably foreseen. This was a minor inconvenience rather than a serious problem, since I am retired and my schedule is pretty flexible! The work crew was scrupulously careful to contain the dust resulting from their work, and to avoid paint splatters, and their cleanup was amazingly thorough ? there was little if any evidence that such a huge job just been completed. I am delighted with their work, and I have no hesitancy in recommending them.

The initial visit for Mark to make an estimate was easy to schedule and Mark was on time. He promptly emailed a quote and his office checked back to see if I had any questions. His office was very flexible with me about scheduling. I believe the actual painters were subcontracted because they did not seem to have been prepared for the project. There was a short delay while they went and got ladders for the ceiling. The project took 2 days: the first day they masked and painted the ceiling, the second day they re-masked and painted the walls. There was some trouble getting the paint the correct color. I provided a paint chip from Home Depot, but Mark only used paint from PPG. There was a several hour delay because someone had to come and look at the paint then take it back and have it all re-mixed. In spite of that, the painters were able to complete the project in the time they estimated. Overall they did a good job with the painting. I would use them again.
