Masterpiece Tile & Grout

This is the 2nd job Larry did for me in my master bath in 2 months. I was so pleased with his work on the first job, I decided to have him replace the worn out carpet in the walk in closet to match the tile in the bathroom. Again, Larry and Jose are amazing to work with. It is simple. He does what he says, when he says it will be done and for the cost he tells you and at the highest quality! Top it off with the fact that Larry is just a nice, genuine guy and Jose is an amazing worker! I feel that they do a job like it is their own house. I highly recommend Masterpiece!

First, Larry is easy to work with. We changed direction two or three times and he never flinched. We were also working under a short time line. Larry's people and his sub-contractors got work completed per our needs. Work was satisfactory and his people/subs were all professional and easy to work with. They were clean and neat. Would definitly use again.

I think communication issue...We have had a person in the past at a previous house that did a resurfacing of a bathtub and countertops. When my husband asked about that he rolled his eyes, Said "we don't do that" We felt like he acted as if we wasted his time.People skills lacking. From previous reviews from other customers, this company seemed great. ***When I called and was obviously not very happy at the service estimate, Larry called back and apologized. Very nice but too late. I respect that. But we will not be using this company at this time. Makes me sad because I really was impressed with the reviews.

Larry sent Jose and Michael, who worked on it from 1/14/13 to 1/17/13, and did an excellent job at removing the old tiles, the glass shower stall, and the floor pan. Installed the new 6x6 ceramic tiles on the wall and 2x2 ceramic floor tiles. Also re-fixed the old glass stall, hence saved a lot of money as would have had to have a new stall constructed. Jose is an excellent, quiet and dedicated worker and knows his tile work. Michael did all the grout and caulk work and did an excellent job at the redesigned stall, as well as another bathroom and kitchen back splash. Larry's estimate was very accurate in terms of cost and time. Well done team!

Overall, the experience was okay. The technician immediately tried selling us additional work aside from what we had already purchased with the Deal. They used the right equipment and heated water to do an excellent job, but instead of sealing the tile, he stained the grout permanently to make the grout that color. The price was about three times as much as what the Deal covered, which I did agree to, but afterwards I felt like the work was expensive for the amount of time spent. The work was done a couple of years ago and the work they did still looks good.

have to say, I would say this was my BEST experience with an Angie's List provider, or any other service provider, hands down. Larry was very responsive, quickly calling me back to set up an appointment for an estimate. I had 2 showers in need of repair. It was determined that water was leaking and causing damage to my floor. Fast forward, what essentially happened was the shower basically needed to be rebuilt from the waist down. Larry spent a good amount of time talking with me and discussing options. He was very cognizant to do only what was necessary to keep my cost in line, but to still do the job correctly. Larry made sure I was very happy with what was being done and was very, very communicative. Once the job was done, much to my satisfaction, I asked Larry to repair a second shower, which he did and with the same care and quality. Larry is a very personable, honest guy who I would be very happy to recommend to anyone.

1/12/13 - After seeing the review regarding the price, Larry called and asked my what would make me a satisfied customer. I called quote for two other companies for the job and informed Larry what would be the price for them. Larry offered me $200 refund. It seems to me Larry wants to take extra mile to make the customer satisfied. I had a leaking toilet which caused by improper setting of the toilet that made the floor tiles loose. I was told during estimation that they need to replace the deck and may be the joist if needed. When the actual works started, it was found they do not need to replace the deck due to the fact there is cement board on top of the deck. So the company spend 2.5 hours to take the toilet off, take 8 tiles off, clean the tile and put it back (one tile broke during removal and luckily we have few spare ones). Overall I assume they did the job correctly (put the tiles back correctly). During estimation, he itemized the cost (did not give me the paper for his estimation - only total price on his card). I asked him that as his work reduced half, is he going to reduce his price. His reply was - whatever I think I can pay him. As the original price quote was $555, I paid him the full amount even though I felt it was completely unfair due to the fact the worked reduced to less than half. I was expecting the contractor will bring his estimation and reduce the price and offer me the reduced price. By the way he did not do the work by himself, he had a guy who did the work! Next time, I would take the itemized estimation for the whole work and make sure the contractor agree the price would be based on actual work as per the estimation. If the scope reduced, the price will reduce as well.

We needed to remove the carpet from two bathrooms floors upstairs and replace them with tiles. We had a very tight schedule coupled with a demand for accurate and high level professional job. We had three quotes from highly rated contractors. We choose Larry Bushner based on our impression that he is highly professional and very honest, although his quote was not the lowest. Larry and his worker performed the job on time, accurately, and in a highly professional manner! We are very pleased with the job he did.

They were quick. They got in and got it done. They showed up when they said they would. Answered all of our questions. Hosea (who fid all the tile work) was sweet and patient with our kids. The shower turned out gorgeous!

I would definitely use Masterpiece Tile & Grout again. I found him on Angie's List and provided the best price. It's so nice when the best price results in the best service!

It went very well overall, Jose is awesome. Larry was extremely responsive and flexible, welcomed ideas for customizing. We had a little problem with some granite that wasn't cut right by the suppllier, but Larry was very helpful in resolving the issue. I would highly recommend this company.

Larry and his helper were very friendly, prompt and efficient at their work. I definitely recommend paying the little extra for the grout staining. My 12 year old floors look new!

I used Larry Bushner of Masterpiece Tile & Grout. He was very helpful. It was just a small job. He also gave us some other options if we wanted to redo more of the area. So far the work that he has done had been satisfactory to me. He returned calls promptly. He was actually early to the appoint time and date. It actually took less time than he had anticipated. The work was done and well done. It was cleaned up. Before he left, he gave us a couple of more options if we wanted to proceed that direction.

Larry was available throughout the day and stopped by several times to check on work progress. Everything lines up perfectly; you can't even tell the niche was re-tiled, except now that the slope is fixed it can actually function as intended! Unfortunately, for this bathroom remodel we used another tiling service - and several things were not done correctly. We will definitely use Larry for our next bathroom renovation and save ourselves the headache!

I invited Larry based on his Angie's List rating. He was very prompt. We liked the fact that he doesn't carry few tile samples (as most companies do), but rather sent us to InterCeramic to pick our own tile, where the variety of offering was great. We picked samples and brought it back home to confirm. Once we were happy with one sample, he came in and did a great job. He was very professional. He brought the plumber himself, and recommended a glass door person, and was willing to be the "clearing house" for paying the glass person. I ended up paying him directly, the same price, which means that Larry was simply willing to take responsibility for someone else's work for free, just to make life easier for me, which I appreciated. Again, he was very professional and prompt. The quality of the work is superb. He was very patient with us in explaining what the options are every step of the way. His prices were very competitive, and we are very happy with the finished shower.

Masterpiece Tile & Grout stained the grout throughout my entire home. They gave me a free estimate. They scheduled my work promptly. They arrived when they said they would arrive. They were very professional and polite. Very responsive to my questions and requests as they did the work. They stained all my grout to be a uniform color and protected from stains and it looks great!!! They were able to precisely match my grout color. I would highly recommend them! As an added bonus they were able to remove two stains from my tile that the builder left and which had bothered me for the last two years. No more stains and great looking grout now! I would definitely use them again.

Overall it went well. Both gentlemen were relatively punctual and did the work requested.
