I gave them a ``4'' for price not because I enjoyed spending $4,000 repairing a shower stall. but because I definitely felt like it was a case of, ``you get what you pay for." They took their time, stayed late at night and did the job right.
Description of Work: They ripped out the bottom half of a leaky shower stall and redid it properly, including retiling the stall floor and parts of the walls. In the process they replaced a built in bench with a corner stool and doubled the size of the stall's shampoo nook, by adding a shelf.

+ 4 moreIt actually went exactly as planned! Both the time frame and cost were what were told to expect. Additionally, there was a small issue with our toilet while moving it, and Larry handled it quickly and professionally without any problems.
Description of Work: They tore out our shower and then retired it and added a niche. A pocket door was installed, and some walls were redone. They painted the space and put in new floor, as well.

He was very personable, honest and easy to work with. Quality of workmanship was excellent and Larry said if we had any problems later to give him a call. I have no doubt he will stand by his work. I'm glad I took a chance on Masterpiece Tile and Grout to remodel our upstairs bathroom. Thanks Angie's List!
Description of Work: Larry had his plumbers install a new bathtub, in place of the old one we tore out. They made sure the plumbing was right for it. Then Larry had his marble contractors install marble shower surround where old tile used to be. They also took off my old double sink vanity and replaced it with a new matching marble vanity top. Larry helped to show my husband how to install the new fixtures on the new sinks and under the sink pipe work, saving us a couple hundred dollars. He also helped install the new bathtub/shower fixtures, again, saving us money.

+ -1 moreHad a shower that was showing it's age, house was built in 81, the grout was missing in some areas and I was worried that water might have penetrated behind the tile but we got lucky, no water damage. The cost for putting up new tile and new plumbing was gonna be very expensive so after reading most of the reviews on Angie's List the choice was clear.Clayton said that the shower would look like new and he wasn't kidding, it turned better than I expected.

+ -1 moreThe installation of our tile went very well. Larry was patient in waiting for us to arrange our schedule so someone could be home. He and his assistant were respectful of our carpet, the bedroom furniture, etc. He also dealt well with the weird angles of the bathrooms (and the builder's mistakes!). The results are absolutely wonderful and made a dramatic difference in the rooms. Larry has already given me quotes on other rooms so I can plan accordingly. I will definitely use his services again in the future.

+ 2 moreLarry Bushner did a great job. He knows his business. As a contractor, he put us in touch with all the right people who did a fantastic job of replacing the old "master" shower, installing a new beauty that we're proud to show off. He suggested we consider cultured marble & put us in touch w/ a company that custom made what we wanted. We chose a pretty combination of marble walls & a granite floor. Larry & his carpenter tore out the old materials, installed all the support materials, called in the plumber (another great professional), and prepared the stall for the installation of the new shower structure. The marble company measured & manufactured the perfect walls and floor, & installed everything beautifully, including the 2 shelves we asked for. Next, the glass company (Gemini Glass & Mirror) came to measure, measured again, explained the process & the product, and a week later installed a gorgeous glass enclosure that perfectly completes the new shower. It is a Masterpiece, just like the name of Larry's company. Good work, good price, good experience. And we liked Larry, found him easy to work with, good communication; a job done well. We'll be calling him again for the next project. Meanwhile, our neighbors want to see; we'll be giving tours and recommending Larry & Masterpiece Tile & Grout.
Description of Work: Tore out the old shower in the master bath, replaced with new support walls, cultured marble walls, granite floor over new shower pan, & recommended a great glass company to install a glass shower door.

+ 2 moreThere were several companies that came up as high-quality suggestions from Angie's List. What set Larry apart was his personality. He was very honest throughout the bidding and installation process, and he worked around my strange work schedule to meet me and to get all of the work done. Larry and his crew were always hard at work while they were at my house, and Larry made sure all small details associated with the project were completed. He had his plumber install more modern shut-off valves for all of the faucets involved in the project, and he made sure the slope of the curb and the slope of the bench in the shower were sloped slightly downward so that the water properly drains into the bottom of the shower. The caulking is smooth and all hardware was installed without any scratches or damage to the newly installed walls and countertop. It's not easy to get a modern, attractive and functional master bathroom remodel for under $10,000, but Larry definitely got it done for us. We'd highly recommend you give him a call if you're looking for a similar project for your home.
Description of Work: We had our master bathroom remodeled by Masterpiece Tile & Grout. + We had our standup shower, garden style bathtub and sinks/countertop replaced. + This involved tearing out the old shower and cultured marble walls, removing the glass framing around the shower, breaking down and removing the bathtub and removing the countertop and sinks and all associated hardware. They also safely removed a mirror from our wall which we were able to reuse after the installation. + We chose to go with a more decorative cultured marble design, and Larry suggested incorporating in a strip of cultured granite for accent, and the end result looks very nice. Cultured granite is featured in the curb into the standing shower, as sink/vanity countertop and as a backsplash around the bathtub. The bathtub is cultured marble to match the shower walls, and the glass around the shower is frameless. The glass was installed by another company that Larry suggested and they did a very nice job. + Before the install Larry noticed that our home's builder left a portion of the ground without concrete around the plumbing for the bathtub which was hidden behind the cultured marble sheet located in front of the tub. This patch of open earth was a location where ants were able to get into the house previously, and Larry had the hole concreted over to prevent that from happening in the future. + Overall the work was done at a very high level of quality, and Larry stuck to the budget he quoted us at the beginning.

Description of Work: They rebuilt my walk-in shower. It was about 25 years old and the tiles and grout were cracking. They ripped out the old tile and discovered water damage. They repaired and dried the damaged area, then re-tiled the shower.

+ 1 moreOverall experience was AMAZING! Larry wouldn't rest until we identified where the leak was in the bathroom and what the root cause of it. Old shower was ripped out, repaired, and was replaced with limestone tile. The team also installed new limestone floors and a glass tile backsplash. The limestone tile was cut to each specification and bullnosed where needed. Larry also coordinated a time for the glass door guy to come out and measure/install. Larry and his team go above and beyond - great find!!!
Description of Work: Not sure what happened to my previous review, but Larry's work is worth it so I am submitting it again. Had a leak in the master shower that damaged our new hardwoord floors in the master bedroom. Shower had to be ripped out, repaired, and was replaced with limestone tile along with installing new limestone floors and a glass tile backsplash. Everything was grouted and sealed along with the installation of a his/hers niche and a new seamless glass shower door (coordinated by Larry). Note: EVERY tile had to be cut at least twice to the dimensions we had specified since the limestone was not availble for purchase this way

+ -1 moreLarry and crew were great to work with. Kept in touch with me and let me know when there were issues that we needed to address as work continued. Worked with me on materials to be used in each of the bathrooms....there was always a good dialog going on so that each new expectations. I always knew where we were in the cost of the project as changes/additions were added to the work list. There were a few unexpected delays...not because of Masterpiece, but because of the nature of a remodel and the age of the house. It is interesting what you will find when you start pealing away layers of sheetrock and paneling. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Masterpiece.
Description of Work: This work included the remodel of a master bath and updating of two other bathrooms. Work included demo and prep for new tile floors in all 3 baths. A complete new walk-in shower master bath. New cabinets in all. Replace tile in 2 baths which were re-plumbed for new hardware. Installation of new toilets, faucets, etc.

+ 1 moreEveryone except the plumber did a great job. We chose a faucet set, shower head, and spigot that he apparently had no experience with.
Description of Work: Larry and his crew removed an old bathtub and took it away. They tore out all the old tile surrounding the tub, then all the sheetrock as well. It was a mess back there! They abated the mold with chemicals and we sprayed the area with orange oil. The new tub was what we stipulated---porcelain covered cast iron. We bought the fixtures for the new installation. Some of the floor tiles had to be replaced as well and, because they were so old, there were no matches to be found. Larry preserved the old broken tiles, pieced them together and grouted them in. It was undoubtedly like a working a complicated jigsaw puzzle. We were pleased and impressed. We had used Larry before with our upstairs bath and he did a splendid job. This time too.

+ -1 moreFABULOUS EXPERIENCE OVERALL! Larry and his crew truly care about their work from start to finish, and won't leave until you are completely satisfied! From the moment I met Larry, I knew that he cared, not only about doing the job right but making sure I was completely happy - he provided a timely estimate for the job and was willing to work around my schedule. He initially planned to reframe the hearth but changed his plan, building the hearth using cement pavers to ensure it would withstand any weight (most contractors just want the job, regardless of how long it will last, but not Larry). Job took about 3 full days to complete and I couldn't be happier with the end result. HIGHLY recommend Larry and his crew!
Description of Work: Fireplace had a ceramic tile face and a granite hearth, both needing to be replaced. The ceramic tile was removed and replaced with stack stone and the hearth was built up with cement blocks to ensure longevity.
