Larry and Jose did an amazing job on my bathroom! Clean, honest, on time, and high quality work. I also had absolutely no problem leaving them in my house alone. Larry sourced a couple of custom items I needed to finish my project. I had to beg him to take some extra cash when he came by and installed them. Solid and honest company.

We found the company to be very reliable and provided a fair price for the service. We would use Larry and his company again and will highly recommend them. They came every day, worked hard and finished the project when promised. No surprises here.

Larry spent a good 20 minutes on the phone troubleshooting our water leak before we even set an appointment. He was thorough in his evaluation, quick to send the proposal, and very patient with all my questions. We ultimately decided to repair our existing shower instead of replacing everything, but I would not hesitate to use this company in the future.

What a pleasure this bath renovation project turned out to be compared to my past experiences with other contractors. Larry and Jose showed fantastic professionalism during the entire project from gathering my needs and expectations to staying in contact with me during the process, they stayed on schedule, cleaned up after themselves and minimized dust in the house to a very low level, they showed up to work at precise times, completing the job on time and generally meeting all my expectations. Jose's tile work was meticulous and precise and to a very high standard. All tile installers should be this good. I particularly liked the fact that I supplied the tile and fixtures for the job at my cost without the usual predetermined expense limits and limited supplier choices you are usually stuck with. This freedom allowed me to save money on fixtures that I located at great discount on the internet as well as locating porcelain tile at discount locally. All in all, this was a great remodeling experience. I can recommend Masterpiece Tile and Grout without reservation.

Larry said I was too far for him to take the job, nonetheless he walked me through the process and provided many great recommendations that a first time home-buyer like myself absolutely needs to know. I learned a lot from talking to Larry and was very impressed by his nature and willingness to provide me with cost-saving information and tips. Larry had already informed me that he could not take my business and afterwards still gave me a full half hour of his time - THANK YOU LARRY! If I lived in his service area I would be hiring Larry without a doubt. He is the kind of guy who does not play games and is very straightforward.

Larry and his crew were extremely professional and arrived on time and completed the job perfectly. They finished the job in less than 2 days in what others had told me would be over a week. Larry and Jose did a fantastic job making retiling and making repairs to a poorly constructed bench in my bathroom. They were able to fit me in quickly and get the job done in record time. I look forward to using them again in the future!

We had a great experience with Larry Bushner and Masterpiece Tile & Grout. I searched for tile contractors on Angie's List and selected Masterpiece Tile based on the reviews. I originally called Larry to demo and retile my shower and tub surround. When he came to see what the job would entail in order to give me an estimate, I found out that he provided a lot more services than just a tile contractor. Larry explained each step of the master bathroom update process thoroughly and his original estimate was what I ended up paying in the end. Larry helped me stay on budget by directing my tile selections. He and his tile guy, Juan, always came when they said they would. If they were running late, they always called. If I had questions, Larry always returned my calls promptly. Those things are very important to me. Juan was very talented, respectful, and always cleaned up at the end of the day. All of the contractors Larry provided to do plumbing, painting, custom cabinets, mirror removal and replacement, fiberglass tub repair, were all easy to work with, came when they said they would come, and did what they were supposed to do. We had one minor problem with one of the sink fixtures and the plumber came right back out and fixed it immediately. I would definitely recommend Masterpiece Tile and Grout and would definitely use him again. Our project was predicted to take 3-4 weeks, unless we ran into an unforeseen problem when the demo was complete. My project was completed in exactly 4 weeks. I love my new master bathroom and I'm very happy that I found Masterpiece Tile and Grout.

I am extremely pleased with the process and end product. Larry took the time to give me detailed explanations on why I was having water damage and he provided multiple options to remediate this issue, all during a no charge at-home consult. Never once did I feel like I was being misled or upsold. The day of the job Larry and his team showed up on time, finished on time, and the work far exceeded my already high expectations. Masterpiece Tile & Grout will be performing all future bathroom work at my house.

Masterpiece Tile and Grout is owned and operated by Larry Bushner. Mr. Bushner was previously the operator of the Grout Doctor franchise in Arlington, Texas. Several years ago he did some tile work for us and when I found out that Larry now has his own remodeling business I knew he was the one I wanted to remodel our master bath. When you call Masterpiece Tile to arrange for a job estimate it will be Larry himself who answers the phone. It will also be Larry who promptly turns up to look at the job and supply an estimate. Larry doesn't employ a room designer, feeling quite reasonably that you yourself know better than anyone else what you want. As long as it is structurally sound Larry will build to your specifications. He will, however, give you many, many suggestions as to how the remodeling can be done. Larry's only employee at Masterpiece Tile is Jose Lopez. If you contract with Larry to do a job involving tile, Mr. Lopez will do most of the tile work. Larry will frequently be there, though, to offer oversight and guidance. As Larry happily admits, however, Jose needs very little oversight or guidance. Between the two of them they constitute, without doubt, one of the best contractors in the metroplex for tile work. As many of us have found out, though, it's the subcontractors who make or break a remodel. The subcontractors Larry supplied for our job were of the highest quality I have ever seen for a room remodeling. We've been in our home since 1972 and have remodeled the kitchen twice and the master bathroom twice. With the exception of Larry Bushner's crew, there were always subcontractors involved who were not fully qualified and the results were not what we'd hoped. Along toward the end of the job I asked Larry how he finds subcontractors of this quality. He answered in two words: "Angie's List". Relying on Angie's list for subcontractors explains part of Larry Bushner's success. Another imporant factor, though, is that Larry uses the same subcontractors for each job, as often as he can. If you hire Larry to remodel a room, the people who actually do the work will very likely be the same people who did such a superb job for us. Larry is a good boss and he pays well and pays on time. His subs like him and he likes them. That's a formula for success in any business. I recommend Masterpiece Tile and Grout without reservation. I can't say the same about any of the other contractors we've hired to do a room remodel.

If you are a contractor yourself and know all about materials, plumbing, etc., then Larry would be the perfect person to complete your job. If you are hiring a professional for their expertise and insight into the work, then this is not the company to go with. When I told Larry what we needed, he grilled me with questions other bidding contractors never asked. When I knew the answers to his questions, he would raise his eyebrows and say, "How much do you think that costs?" (then was surprised I knew what I was talking about.) When I didn't know the answers, he lectured me about the consequences of "indecisiveness." When I had him talk to my husband on the phone to answer one of the questions, he even lectured my husband, "When you're twenty, price is important because you don't have a lot of money, and when you're older you start taking quality into consideration." Then, when I added a detail to the conversation, he rolled his eyes and said, "Your wife just disagreed with you." I tried to be patient with his condescending conversation style and try to figure out where he was coming from, but I finally told him I didn't think this would work out. This is a big project, and I'd rather spend time working with someone who is professional regardless of how old I look or whether I am male or female.

Larry (the owner) and Jose from Masterpiece were great to work with. This project started as a homeowner project, but between some things the original builders did and a couple of broken arms (one for me, one for the wife), it became apparent that we'd need professionals. We still had some small parts of the remodel that we wanted to do, and we had no problems collaborating with Masterpiece about what parts were ours and which parts were theirs. Worked out great. Larry is very meticulous about the work and insists on using high quality materials. Even when it's areas that don't show. Jose just does super work. The tile work is absolutely flawless. We threw a few curve balls after they'd started, but they just adjusted fire and drove on. Larry is very cautious about doing anything without buy-in from the homeowner. So no worries about finding some part of the remodel that we really didn't like. We had a lot of collaboration on areas of concern. My wife worked with them on a daily basis and was home during the remodel, and they were very respectful of her as well as our home. Even after Larry and Jose had finished their work, Larry checked back to see how our part was coming and to ask if we needed any help. These guys do quality work and I'd recommend them to anyone. BTW, the bathroom looks wonderful and I'll post some pics eventually.

Since I work from home, it needs to be very quiet while I'm working and they were all very respectful of this. Larry was great with communicating with me, explaining what they were doing and answering all of my questions. While tiling the floor, they discovered the tiles I purchased were slightly different. Most people would have kept tiling as it was a slight difference. However, they showed me and we worked it out to make sure all of the tiles matched. Larry was more than willing to come back out after the work was done to fix a minor issue. He even helped me with my other bathroom due to a leak and did not charge for it. I am so relieved that we now have a beautiful bathroom to enjoy. It was worth the price as they really did great quality work and wanted to make sure we were happy with the outcome.

After the first guy I hired totally screwed up the tile installation - I told him to stop halfway through grouting, I called Larry. Larry is very calm and talked about what he could do to fix it. This included tearing down the tile, the cement board and finding out the first guy had not put insulation in the outside wall. Larry got this done and then discovered the marble installer had installed the marble surround for the tub was about 1/2 inch unlevel. This led to several weeks of arguing with the marble installer until we got them to replace it. Then, Larry could finally install the mosaic tile. He did a great job. It's beautiful. He also installed the carerra marble tile floor and the front of the tub.

Larry came over and gave me the quote, he was very nice and knowledgeable. He had good suggestions, and I was very comfortable with him. Repairs were made two days later as promised.

We could not be happier with the way our master bathroom remodel turned out! Larry was a delight to work with. His vast knowledge and experience were invaluable in helping us throughout this project. The people that he hires to do the work are trustworthy, polite, and top notch in their areas of expertise. The tile work done by Jose was, by far, the best we?ve ever had done (and we have a lot of tile in our house). There were some glitches along the way that caused the project to go beyond the anticipated completion timeframe. These were not the fault of Larry, and he handled each challenge with patience and professionalism. He always had a pleasant demeanor, and was so courteous and easy to work with. Larry kept us informed throughout the project and did what he said he would do. He was always available if we had a question, or needed to consult with him. He paid great attention to detail which was especially appreciated by my very picky husband (an engineer, need I said more?) There were times that Larry would point out something that wasn?t up to his standards, that had gone unnoticed by us, and made sure that it was done to his specifications. Larry is fair minded and honest, and we look forward to hiring him again for future remodeling needs.

Excellent service and quality work. Tiles replaced were 10 years old and cannot tell the difference where repair was made. Larry is a hard working honest person and will use him again. Every recommendation he made was towards more economical side. Fair pricing and quality work, cannot go wrong with Larry.

Larry is absolutely the best when it comes to customer service. His knowledge of materials and proper construction techniques was a big help in spending our dollars wisely and getting a first rate job. His work was timely and he always did a great job of keeping me informed as to scheduling of work, delivery of materials and billing an budget. His network of resources was invaluable and made it possible to have multiple projects progressing at the same time, such as tile installation and granite countertop fabrication. Larry and his crew took the extra time necessary to properly level our uneven floors which resulted in an amazing finished product; they know how to do things right. I would definitely hire him again. In fact, I already have!

They were very responsive. They responded within 20 minutes of my inquiry and came out the next day. He subcontracted the plumbing and tub installation to David Meyer who was also great. Both came out the very next next day (which was a saturday) for a quote. The quote came in way under what we were expecting, though that could be due to our ignorance regarding home improvement projects. The explained everything that would happen with the re-model and detailed which things would cost what amount. The official quote came that same day. They explained our options and where we could save money or splurge depending on our preferences. They were very accommodating regarding our schedule. They set up a timeline that met our needs and worked within it. They were punctual and professional. They completed the work within the allotted timeframe and we have no complaints. The cultured marble looks amazing and was not an option we were even considering going into the process.

Two or three previous contractors fail. So far Master Tile+Grout job has been working very well.

Larry has been to our house a few times, once to fix an issue with our shower liner, another to redo all our tile floors, and a couple of other times for smaller jobs. So this review is to catch up with our experiences on all of these occasions. Larry is very easy to work with and very knowledgeable about his business. Most recently he was able to work with a difficult situation (not of his making) and fix a show pan leak in a custom shower stall. When the original plan for redoing our tile floors did not work (because our 50+ year old tile was a bit different) he was able to come up with a plan to give us what we wanted. I highly recommend him & would happily use him again.

I had a contractor replacing my cabinet doors, and he told me he would also install the tile backsplash. Luckily, I checked his work before he got too far along, because, he obviously did not know how to do it, and I could tell it was going to look terrible. I then called Larry and he came to look at my job within the hour! He gave me a price, and started work very quickly, removing what the other contractor had done, and preparing the surface for the new tile. After a couple of days, I had a beautiful, professionally done backsplash installed by Larry and Andrea. A few days later, while having my microwave installed, a row of tile had to be removed. I called Larry, and he came within a couple of days, and repaired the row of tile. That's what I call customer service.
