Description of Work: It was just what I expected---Just let him take care of the tune up and replacing the rollers. Much quieter opening and closing. Did ask him a lot of questions about how long a garage door, the opener lasts and the costs of replacing each. He gave some good suggestions, ones to look at. I plan on using them when I replace them in the near future.

Description of Work: We have a very heavy wooden garage door. The door would open, but did not have the appropriate tension on the springs, so it would creep back down a few inches, then the opener would pull it back up. This would sometimes occur 5-6 times before ceasing. Paul arrived during the window of time that he promised. He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave his recommendations on what work should be done. He also pointed out a couple of other things that needed to repaired. He completed the work within about 60 minutes. He was professional, courteous and personable. We highly recommend.

Description of Work: My garage opener was not working. Paul found that the opener gear was broken and re-built the opener with a reasonable price. The price is definitely lower than installing a new opener. Not only the opener works now, it is also much more quiet than before. Paul is very professional and on time.

Description of Work: Purchased a special garage door tune up from Angies list. I had my house up for sale and the garage door was making a lot of noise opening and closing. They came out, did the tune up in about half and hour and totally fixed any problem (noise) that the door might have had. Great! I need them to come out and do the same at my new house now that I've lived here a year but I'm waiting for another special.

Description of Work: Paul came out at the precise time he had stated he would arrive, installed a new Liftmaster opener and track, cleaned up, and charged exactly what he had quoted the day before. The door has never worked better, and, is much, much quieter!

Description of Work: I had already purchased the 99.00 roller replacement coupon on Angie's List from this vendor which I ended up not using at this time. I don't really know if Paul will allow me to apply this to future work or not My 25 yr old garage door was not operating smoothly but in a jerky manner. At times, I was unable to completely open/close the garage door. I should have started this review with the fact that in the day when service providers don't even bother to return phone calls, Paul with Service Lock and Garage Door is completely the opposite. Paul return my phone call and we made an appointment for him to come out and diagnose the problem with my garage door. Paul was punctual (again, how refreshing). Paul is very knowledgeable about garage doors. Paul advised that the springs on my garage door have stretched with age and that actually they were probably not the best option for a double sized garage door. Paul even pointed out to me where one section of the garage door had been braced on the inside which amounted to a band-aid fix. Paul quoted me around $300.00 for new spring installation or around $600.00 to have a whole new garage door installed. Ha! Paul was not aware of the carriage style door that I have my eye on at Home Depot, (we all have fantasies:). I do not really know if this is a good price for this type of work as I haven't obtained quotes from any other vendor. Paul appears to be a straight shooter, exactly the type of vendor I prefer to work with. Before I can have any type of work done to my garage door, I will have to de-clutter my garage somewhat. Only the junk in my garage is preventing me from having the recommended work done. When the day comes that I have been able to clear my garage somewhat, Paul at Service Lock and Garage Door will be the first person I call. Paul wouldn't even allow me to pay him for coming out to take a look. I feel that Paul exhibits some much needed integrity in a world that doesn't care.

Description of Work: I took advantage of an Angie's List special-they came exactly on time and had my door working better than when I bought the house in ...maybe 30 minutes tops. I have already recommended them to my mother in law--you can't do better than that in my book!
