Brian fixed took the laptop apart and properly connected everything for $65. Not bad for this laptop! But a day later when I rebooted the computer, it showed a flickering streak through the screen. Brian said to bring it back in, when he discovered the LED was bad. I agreed to the cost to repair that, but when he tried, he discovered that it would also now require the replacement of the motherboard and the expenses would all be too much for an older laptop. Brian then offered the money back from the first repair, as he said he had not been able to fix it. Seriously, he put a lot of time into this, but he is intent not charging for only a temporary fix. AMAZING. I asked Brian to keep the money, as credit for the next time I come in. This guy is honest and reputable. I will definitely use his services again, hopefully for things that are not as messed up as the last issue!

A great experience - thanks, Brian!! Diagnosed my non-operating computer; replaced hard drive with a new one and moved all files to the new drive. Reinstalled software and gave me a tutorial on which anti-virus programs to use and other tips to keep the machine running for a long time. We will be using Brian again! He also does remote diagnostics and repairs to common problems like viruses and software issues. He turned my PC around in 24 hours and was a delight to work with! Angies List Peeps: Call this guy!

I called four other repair locations including the big box where the computer was purchased from and received estimates up to $300 to repair the receptacle where the battery pack plugs into the laptop. Most places wanted a minimum of $60 diagnostic charge. When I contacted Brian he said to bring the computer to his office and he'd take a look at it. Turns out the battery pack plug was corroded and did not need the internal board replaced. Great experience and would highly recommend.

Repairing the Notebook DVD player was done professionally. Just what I expected after reviewing Angie's List. The problem occurred when improving the performance of the desktop. Bryan replaced the hard drive and reinstalled Windows 7 without contacting me first. I had purchased a number of applications online and had used product keys to complete the installations. It was my fault that I hadn't kept a hardcopy record of product keys as I installed each application. However, if Bryan had let me know in advance before he replaced my hard drive, it would have given me a chance to record the product keys first.. Sure, I could pull the product keys off the old hard drive myself, but Bryan didn't offer to do this nor did he even seem to care when I told him. This is definitely NOT professionalism! Bryan is very skilled, but he lacks an understanding of basic customer service. I hate to say it, but I do not recommend him.

I called Brian and let him know I had an older laptop that I still used for business purposes, an it would not turn on. He said he could come by and look at it or I could bring it to him. I took it to his place, and a short time later he called to give me the bad news...the motherboard was shot. He gave me a price that was very reasonable, but then asked what I really needed this computer for. I told him that there were files on this one, and I had a software program I used but did not have the CD's to put it on my other computer. He told me he would call me back with a possible solution. Shortly, he said he could remotely get the files and program transferred to my newer computer....and it worked!!! Not only that, the cost was only a fraction of what a motherboard would have cost. Brian is a lifesaver and a moneysaver!!!!

I called Brian and agreed to drop off my malfunctioning computer for repairs. He called about two hours later and said it was fixed and since it took less of his time than he originally thought it would be only $40 rather than his $70 estimate! It now it works great. I would never use anyone else for computer repair.

I delivered the laptop (Sony Vaio) to his location. He made sure that he would be able to log on, and that he understood my problem fully. The cable needed to be ordered, not readily available. After the cable arrived, he promptly replaced and tested the laptop. Great job!

I take maintaining my computer?s very seriously. I always use anti-virus and anti-malware software. I frequently install driver and software updates. Use compressed air to blow the dust off. The shift keys on my Lenovo T410 laptop were not working. After more than a month software and driver updates, I determined I could not fix the broken shift keys. I demonstrated the problem to Brian and left the computer with him about 10:30 am. Brian texted at just before noon! I the keyboard needed replacing. He gave me pricing for both the new and used keyboard with labor. He also suggested upgrading my hard drive to a 240 GB SSD and included the price with labor. His hardware price for both the keyboard and SSD was much less than both Newegg and Amazon! I told him to order both. I have tested my laptop for a week before writing this review. The keyboard and SSD work perfectly. His install of Windows 7 is also perfect and includes some impressive additional perks. After the Windows 7 install my SSD had over 200GB of free space. This ?old? laptop is now the fastest ?work? laptop I have owned! The price was exactly what he quoted. I am very, very satisfied! My friends often leave their ?busted? computers with me. With Brian?s fast service and very fair prices, I will take their computers to him! I would send my Mom to Brian.

I called Allen Geeks on 9:00a on Labor Day. Dropped the computer off at 10:30a and by 1:00p I had a new hard drive and Windows 7 re-installed. They also installed all the needed drivers and some helpful shortcuts for doing a system back-up. Quick service, fair price and nice to work with. Just what I needed for my sick computer.

I purchased a deal from Brian for some computer repair, within minutes of the transaction being completed Brian sent me a message indicating he was on vacation for the next week and he would refund the deal or I could wait until he returned. I opted to wait for Brian to return from vacation. He sent me a message upon his return and I was able to take the laptop to his location. Brian completed the work the same day and now the laptop is running like new. I would highly recommend Brian for any computer issues and will use him again.

It was great! Brian was done with everything within a couple of Hours after I dropped the equipment off. Better than geek squad ever was...

Awesome, was able to get laptop running again, and even added some virus prevention

Based on my initial dealing with Brian I was impressed with his knowledge and commitment to solve my home wifi issues. Although he seemed higher priced than others I contacted, he reinforced his commitment to quality and customer service by letting me know the top notch system he was installing would be the best solution to solve my issues once and for all. Most importantly, he stated going this route would ensure that I had a solution that would work with any provider should I choose to switch and that he would assist should any future "gremlins" appear in my network with his solution. Shortly following his solution installation, we continued to have intermittent wifi issues in our home and based on Brian's recommendation and Time Warner issues with CBS, we moved to AT&T. Should have been a non-issue as Brian sold me on the fact his solution would work with any provider! Far from the case and where my disappointment with Brain and all future customers should be made aware of!!!!!!!!!!!! After having 3 different AT&T techs come to the house to check their system issues as my wifi would not work with the TV on, we surmised that Brian's system was not compatible with their network! Based on this, I contacted Brian thinking it was a simple adjustment and since it was his system was a valid request to have him come check the system for what was behind the lack of compatibility based on his original commitment. Unfortunately, he was quick to let me know that I would have to pay him as he was certain the AT&T techs were the reason for his system not working and he was no longer responsible! I let him know that was not my understanding of our original agreement and how disappointed I was that I had invested in him and his solution as now all the equipment was a waste of money and a giant waste of my time so I would be cutting my losses and making sure other potential customers were made aware of his over priced and poor customer service!

After I accidentally pulled my wife's laptop onto the floor, the display went out completely. A call to Brian at Allen Geeks got the usual swift response and an invitation to bring it in. An appointment for service was met as arranged. I left the machine with him. What great news a few hours later that the problem was a few loose internal connections and not the need of a replacement LCD screen. How refreshing to encounter this level of integrity and honesty in a provider of this kind of service. I picked up the laptop the same day and could not be happier with Brian and Allen Geeks. The charge was extremely reasonable and the lightning-fast service was, again, amazing. Not only did I get the laptop back, up and running, in less than a day, but when I think of the cost that could have been involved if a less honest company had wanted to take advantage. I'll be back to see Brian whenever I have an issue with a computer. He's simply the best.

My PC was having issues turning on /staying on. He diagnosed the problem quickly and found a electrical short due to one of the USB ports. Issue resolved after repair. Thank you Brian!

Brought the computer in on a Saturday and got it back same day. Excellent service and price. Will use again.

Brian did an excellent job. I called him and dropped my laptop and he fixed it as per committed time frame. He also fixed my Desk top. He is fast and very reasonable in terms of price. Brian had my computer up and running again in just a few hours. I thought that there was a virus, as my computer would boot up but then freeze. But Brian determined that there were other issues with the computer that he was able to fix, tune up and get working. This is the second time I've called Brian and the second time he's helped me out quickly for a very reasonable fee.

Initially, I had a machine inspected for water damage after some flooding in our house. Surprisingly, it worked fine, but I eventually used Allen Geeks to copy the hard drive contents over to a new hard drive. It was done within 24 hours and I'm very pleased with the level of service I got.

Brian either answered phone calls directly or returned them promptly. He arrived on schedule and set to work with our requested services. In setting up the new machine, he not only recommended and installed, with our permission, free programs for enhanced productivity and security, but also updated drivers for our peripherals. When he completed the work on our in-home wireless network system, it not only functioned perfectly, free of the glitches that had plagued us before, but it had greater security. When there were choices that we had to make, and when he had updated and upgraded programs, Brian explained clearly the new system and the new working-procedures. Because he worked with the dexterity and mental agility of a superbly skilled and knowledgeable technician, he performed all of those services within the minimum basic charge.

I am extremely cyber-challenged, so when I began having bizarre problems with my computer, I had NO idea what the issue could be. I found Allen Geeks on Angie's List, gave them a call, and was pleasantly surprised that the gentleman quoted me a considerably lesser price to check out my computer, compared with Geek Squad and other major retailers. In addition, he said that the fee would be applied to any repairs that I authorized! In a panic by this point, I took my computer by and met Bryan, who immediately put me at ease with his calm and professional demeanor. I was comfortable enough to leave my computer tower with him (which contained ALL of my digital pictures and musical composition files!), and he said that he would call me within 24 hours to give me an estimate. Sure enough, Bryan called that very evening and said that the BAD news was that my hard drive had crashed; but the GOOD news was that it was still under warranty. Additionally, he said the OTHER bad news was that the manufacturer's warranty didn't cover the transfer or recovery of 'lost' files.... but the REALLY good news was that he was confident that he could retrieve my pictures, documents, music notation, etc. for a little over a hundred dollars (including tax). WOO HOO!! Obviously, I authorized him to order a new hard drive AND to save all my important data. He did so and, had it not been a Friday, could probably have had my computer sooner... but I was more than happy to wait until Tuesday to pick it up. As far as I can tell (and, again, I'm VERY cyber-challenged), everything is working just fine... and I'm absolutely THRILLED with Bryan's amazing competency, professionalism, understanding, compassion, and customer service!! I can honestly say that I can't imagine a better resolution to my distressing situation!

It was a great service experience.

My experience couldn't have been better. I had put off taking it in because I was afraid I would be without a computer for days, but he only had it a couple of hours.
