Wellman Custom Remodeling

Before the build Jeff discussed the project with us and offered good suggestions related to the construction as well as aesthetic design ideas. Jeff and his crew arrived when scheduled and were on time each morning. The work progressed steadily. Jeff and his crew pay attention to detail and don't settle for work that is not up to their high standards. When complications arose Jeff was able to come up with solutions that kept the build on schedule and enhanced the project rather than compromising it. Each night debris was cleaned up and at the end of the build all debris was removed and extra materials were neatly stacked in our garage. We love our screened patio. It is definitely the nicest in the neighborhood.

Awesome! Jeff and his crew (Tom and Nate) did an amazing job. This was a significant remodel since all of the furniture upstairs in our home had to be moved in order to remove old carpet and padding and install 1/2 plywood sheets, vapor barrier and new tongue and groove engineered wood floors. Then they demo'd the old vanity and removed old electrical and mirror to install new flooring, vanity, toilet, lighting, etc in guest bath and laundry room. Also painted the new bathroom a beautiful teal color. They also installed 2 new LED lights in my kitchen. The $11,600 was for all labor and for the hardie board for under the tile, plywood for under wood floors, wood floor staples, paint, new baseboards and thin set. I purchased the tile, wood flooring, vapor barrier, vanity, lighting and mirror. I attached before and after pictures of the bathroom/laundry room and of the old carpet compared to the new wood floors.

We wanted a contractor that could handle the entire job. Most tile contractors only do tile and leave the rest of the contracting to the homeowner. Wellman Custom Remodeling , owned by Jeff Wellman, handled the whole project, and did an outstanding job. He has a crew of three people, plus a great plumber that came in when needed for the plumbing work. Jeff did the tear outs, all installations, electrical, floor replacement, tile work, fixtures, mirrors and painting. The best attribute is that Jeff does one job at a time, so he gave us a schedule and was here until it was completed.... and was on time even though we ran into several unforeseen issues, such as the sub floor. His crew was here on time everyday at 8:30 am and never worked past 5:00 pm, which was great for scheduling. Jeff is an experienced pro at remodeling and offered many suggestions and creative solutions to a couple issues that made for a much better job. His quality is excellent. He even followed up after the job to fix something on the cabinets that was the fault of the cabinet supplier, which was great customer service. I would recommend Wellman Custom Remodeling.

IT WENT GREAT! We had a small master bath with a tub, toilet, and small sink area and an area just outside the bath (between the bath & walk in closet) that was wasted space. We had Jeff and his crew completely gut the dated bathroom and enlarge it to twice the original size which was not an easy task. I was both excited and anxious at the same time as we had never had a major remodel done and this was all new to us. I worried about them showing up on a regular basis and about them completing the job in the time they had promised. Well my anxiety faded fast as Jeff and his crew was not only on time every single day ... if they were running late, they would actually call us! They were friendly, polite and cleaned up every single day before they left the house. There was so much for us to do at the beginning of the project (buying cabinets, lights, toilet, sinks, picking counter tops, flooring, etc.) and it seems I was always calling Jeff for suggestions or help along the way. He answered his phone or called me back promptly which was great as sometimes I was at a store & needed some input from him. He was very patient with me and we got through purchasing the materials in flying colors! We had certain flooring, cabinets & sinks in mind, however, to save money, Jeff would give us alternative suggestions which we were happy to receive. They had to tear down a wall, build a new wall and add the french doors I wanted. The project was almost finished when I hit Jeff with "I would like to do something different with the ceiling." We had them install a board & batten ceiling and the entire bathroom turned out more beautiful then I even thought it could be. This remodel is just what we asked for ... AND MORE! We could not be happier with the end result thanks to Jeff Wellman and his crew. They were so professional and worked from the time they arrived until they left. They came every week day till the work was done and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional remodel. If we have another project come up, there is no doubt we would use Wellman Custom Remodeling without hesitation!

The project went great and we could not be happier. We expected something beautiful but I admit we did not expect the end result. Jeff and his crew were like artist. He would constantly bring up little ideas or nuances throughout the project that made a world of difference. He treated the project like it was his own home. One of his beat ideas was to hang a barn door at an opening above the stairwell and it looks wonderful. When we would want to make a change he took it in stride and always made it work. We wanted french style doors for the closet and bathroom with only a 30" opening and could not find anything without paying huge dollars so Jeff took cedar planks, cut an old door in half and made us the doors. A picture is attached. This project was not price dependent for us as we have been searching for someone to do this remodel for years. For what Jeff did for us I found the price to be excellent. The workmanship and detail was unmatched by anyone we have used before and we have had multiple projects performed at our home over the years. We will be using him again and in our opinion he is worth waiting on.

Jeff and his crew did a great job, they were easy to work with, always on time and very detail oriented. Jeff was always open to making changes during the job and many times he made the recommendation to change little things that made a huge difference in the look. The tile shower and full glass door are beautiful. The sink design using an old table, vessel sink, and industrial faucet is awesome and better than we expected. I highly recommend Jeff and will use him again.

The job went great. I was out of town when Jeff called to let me know he could squeeze in our small job. I had my husband leave Jeff a key. Jeff and his crew completed the entire job while I was out of town. My husband and I never even saw them once and that didn't matter one bit because Jeff treats your house the way he does his own. I got home to a beautiful new bathroom floor!

Wellman Custom Remodeling did an excellent job building my new deck. The deck included a custom built pergola and two sets of stairs. Extra detail work like filling nail holes and sanding were done into the railing to give a very nice finished look. The team was there at 8:15 every morning and stayed until late afternoon. They worked diligently every day until the job was complete. All work was done by the same crew. They work crew was very professional and trustworthy.

Great! Jeff is professional and knowledgable. He was always on time and was here every day until completion of the project. Jeff is very trustworthy and always answered our questions. The first project, the farmhouse kitchen, was outstanding. Jeff and his team arrived on time each day and the project was completed within the estimated timeframe. Additionally, each afternoon when I arrived home the kitchen was left clean, orderly, and was still an useable (when applicable) space for our family. Jeff painted my cabinets, made kitchen cabinet doors, worked with electricity, installed a drink refrigerator, a drawer microwave, a new stove hood, tile, cabinet handles, and glass in the cabinet doors. He also placed wood on my ceilings and changed the cabinet layout in some areas of the room. All work was exceptional. Our second project completed by Jeff Wellman Remodeling was a small wooden cabin. My husband and I gutted the cabin and had Jeff install a whole new kitchen. It is a very small space and Jeff was great to communicate ideas to me and to also shoot me pictures of the project along the way. In this project he painted cabinets, installed cabinets and handles, installed a stove and dishwasher, installed tile as the backsplash, installed new overhead lighting, installed a new sink,worked with electricity, and installed a refrigerator that is somewhat 'hidden' in a half-wall under the staircase. This project was complete in a week, as promised.

It went very well. Jeff focused was quick to get to us, outlined the work in detail, offered helpful suggestions, and executed excellent work. We are very happy with the outcome.

Jeff did an excellent job on both projects. The sliding glass door job involved removing the old door, moving some electrical work, installing a new outdoor flood light, installing the new door and completing all trim work inside and out, including some drywall work, painting inside and out, and making/installing a trim piece for the hardwood floor. The vanity job involved removing the old vanity, moving some electrical work and a towel ring, installing a new mirror and installing the new vanity with trim pieces on the sides to fill in gaps from the vanity to the wall. Not only was Jeff's work excellent, he was also a pleasure to work with. He was prompt and professional. He helped us feel confident in his abilities by explaining things thoroughly. He is a perfectionist, which I really appreciate. We felt his price was reasonable. I would recommend Jeff without hesitation for any kind of remodeling work. We will use him again on future projects!

Had an unexpected leak and minor water damage appear in our bathroom. Jeff was immediately response and took the time to come out and evaluate the problem. Identified and fixed it immediately, including running to the store for a few pieces he needed. Per my request, Jeff told me how we could fix the minor water damage ourselves to save us money, without hesitation, and offered to fix it if we decided to go that route. He was extremely fair priced (far less than I expected), professional, and friendly. I will definitely be using Jeff for future remodeling projects I am currently saving for.

Jeff and Shane were fabulous! They arrived on time each day; they were VERY professional and courteous. And the best part is that they knew what they were doing! They did such a great job and the floors are awesome. We would absolutely recommend Jeff and his team to anyone needing a quality flooring job done. They were so thorough and left the house in great shape. We could not be happier!

This was a terrific experience for my son and us. This is our son's first home and a single guy who works all hours. We were helping my son find a qualified person to install a glass tile backsplash in his kitchen. It was important to find someone who was experienced with glass tile and would do a good job so we took the challenge on for him by using our AngiesList. Thus, we found Jeff Wellman. I can't say enough positive things about Jeff and his tile guy. He came in at a reasonable price and was able to fit the project in the same week due to a gap in his schedule. Jeff was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and his tile man was awesome! We will definitely call Wellman Custom Remodeling and recommend him to anyone. And now that my son has made his aquaintance, he can contact him also. The backsplash looks beautiful!

My husband and I chose Jeff to complete out bathrooms because he brought great ideas to the table and made us feel very comfortable with the entire remodeling process. Jeff also took the time to preview my materials a few weeks before the job and let me know what else I needed and estimated quantities, which I greatly appreciated! He particularly did great tile work on my lovely white subway tile tub surround with a medium grey grout. All the work was performed in a very timely and professional manner with excellent craftsmanship. My husband and I LOVE our bathrooms and I would definitely work with Jeff and his team again and would recommend them to anyone! If I could load a pic on here I would because the bathrooms really are stunning!

This job went very well. I wanted a Pottery Barn look and Mr. Wellman came up with great ideas. Everything was done timely with great attention to detail. Mr. Wellman listened to my ideas and concerns and we have a bathroom that looks like we spent a lot more than we did.

Jeff did an excellent job of installing our new shower. He was both professional and very punctual. He had great communication, always kept in touch and kept me up-to-date throughout the project. Even when we required changes throughout the design process Jeff was quick and responsive and was willing to go above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied .This was the first step in our master bath remodel, and we're looking forward to him returning to complete the rest of our master bath. We were very happy and pleased with how our kitchen remodel turned out. Jeff was a joy to work with: professional, easy to communicate with, courteous, truthful, upbeat and always had a positive attitude. I appreciated that Jeff and his assistant arrived on time and always cleaned up after themselves before they left for the day. If any questions or problems arose Jeff would consult us to see what we wanted and worked quickly to resolve any issue that arose. His creative ideas and critical eye helped us make material choices that functioned well while looking beautiful. I had dreaded a kitchen remodel, although our 1980's kitchen needed to be remodeled, because I had feared it would be a tedious and inconvenient intrusion on our busy schedules. Jeff worked with us so that I had a basically functional kitchen throughout the process and the entire remodel went much quicker and smoother than I could have hoped. We plan to remodel our Master bath and will use Jeff again for this project. I would recommend Jeff Wellman, he cares about his work and wants to make everything right, functionally and esthetically so that his customers are happy with their projects outcome.

I contracted with Jeff to replace our deck railing, and to repair a few related items, and I couldn't be any happier! He came over when he said he would, was on time, was professional, and did what he said he would do. Our deck looks fantastic! I have no hesitations whatsoever in recommending him to others. And I hear he does kitchens, too!
