After reading the excellent reviews on Angie's list, I contacted Wayne Pearson at United Plumbing regarding a bathroom remodeling job in my 40 year old home. He responded promptly and was very helpful in assessing my needs and giving a preliminary estimate of $600.00 for installing a Kohler cast iron tub in the renovated space and replacing/redoing plumbing for the new tub/shower. A second plumber had given an estimate ogf $1500 for the job. Wayne and an associate arrived promptly on the scheduled date for the work and immediately discovered that there were issues with installing the new tub and plumbing. The only access to the existing plumbing was throug a return vent for the heating/conditioning system, and the existing space in which the new tub was to be installed was approximately 3/4 inch smaller than the 315 lb cast iron tub. A lot of ingenuity,determination and heavy lifting were required to seat the new tub in the existing space and to redo the plumbing. Wayne and his associate worked diligently and the end result was excellent. Considering the difficulty of the task, I had no issue with the fact that the final cost exceed the original estimate by about 20%. I would highly recommend his services.

He arrived on time, replaced the malfunctioning parts in one toilet and cheerfully agreed to fix another one, with just a small fee added to the coupon. The work was completed within an hour, and I was very pleased with it.

Josh was very professional and knowledgable. I would ask for him next time because he explained things extremely well and was very logical. Bill is always higher than expected, but Angie's list discount helped.

Wayne did a great job. We had a shower that had been out of commission for over 10 years and finally got it retiled so we can use it. Well it had set so long the pipes were completely frozen so Wayne came in and replaced the section of steel pipe and got us flowing correctly. He addressed a couple of other small issues in the house while he was there.

Very disappointed with being charged $150.00 just for the few minutes of labor to replace one easily accessed outdoor faucet.

He did a good job for what he could do for us.

The plumber was on time, professional, finished the services quickly and left with no issues.

Wayne replied to my request for an estimate pretty quickly. He arrived on time for the estimate, was very friendly, and gave me an estimate in writing. He gave me credit for some angie's List coupons. I thought the estimate was fair. He was able to schedule the work for a couple days later. It was a 2 day job, one day inside the house and a second day spent mostly on the line outside the house. I had to work those 2 days, but was able to come home at lunch time to check in and see how it was going. They had 2 contact phone numbers for me if they had questions. I was a bit disappointed to find that Wayne wasn't really on site while the work was being done. Apparently he intended to check in each day while I was home for lunch, but I didn't see him. At the end of the first day, I glanced at everything that I could see. The next morning i took a better look at it all and noticed some things that didn't look right. For example, the cold supply line under my kitchen sink had the valve sitting about 12 inches from the bottom of the cabinet while the hot valvewas about 1 inch from the cabinet. There were several other things that looked a bit unprofessional or inexperienced to me. There also seemed to be more joints/connections than there needed to be. One of the advantages of pex is you can go long distances without connections. I made a written list of the things I wanted corrected. Since Wayne was not on site, I called him to fill him in on the list. Some things had apparently been challenging to do because my house is older and didn't necessarily have studs where it would have been convenient to have them. I thought Wayne should have called me if there were challenges like that to see what i wanted to do to work around the situation. Wayne said that he was planning to get my feedback at the end of the second day, and make any fixes necessary. I thought Wayne should have caught anything that was not done right/well, not leave it to me to find it and make a list. I also thought the end of the last day of work was too late to be talking about things that needed to be redone because it meant i would have to schedule a third day for them to come back for fixes. In the end, they pretty much fixed the things on my list, although they seemed to have trouble getting the pipes to come through the walls straight and the escucheons to fit flat against the walls. They were nice guys with a fair price. They would probably be fine to replace plumbing fixtures and things like that. But I would not hire them again for things like whole house line replacement.

Great job. Wayne and Josh were on time, very professional, personable, and did a little extra at no additional cost. I will definitely call United for future plumbing work.

I called United Plumbing to look at the garbage disposal in the kitchen sink that had stopped working many years ago. The plumber tried to rescue the severely rusted disposal before informing me it needed to be replaced. He had the new unit installed in about 15 minutes. Great service for a fair price.

The plumber was unable to resolve any of our issues, due to the structure of the plumbing in the house. He was here for about 45 minutes, so we did not get that good of a deal by purchasing the time ahead. The only reason I gave him a "B" in responsiveness was that he gave an email address, but did not respond to the email sent initially. He was very responsive when we called.

The owner/plumber arrived on time and was courteous and very professional. He was thorough in inspecting all of the plumbing in our home as well . All has been working fine since he was here. He took his time and did all work neatly, even covering his shoes with "booties" every time he entered our home. I would highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to call them again.

They were okay, but it seemed like the guy didn't want to do anymore than what, it said for drains but then he said he didn't think some drains needed cleaning but I wanted all of them cleaned because they were clogged. I don't think I will pre-buy again off Angie's List because I think when they come they kind of want to do less work. I had to keep telling him to do this and to do that, and I had the ceiling cut open so that he could check plumbing because I thought there might have been a leak, and he said he didn't bring his ladder. So I told him his ladder is in the truck and to go get it, because I did not pay for somebody to come out and cut the ceiling open for him not to be able to see and tell me what I need to do. The advertisement said $99 for plumbing work and it includes drain cleaning and filled clogs removal. When I had the house inspection, they said there were clogged drains in three of the bathrooms. I saw a spot on the ceiling and they said it could be from a leaky pipe in the upstairs bathroom but the only way that we would know would be for a plumber to look up there. And the advertisement said that it was only for two hours and then it would be extra charge. I had already had a contractor working in the house and I had him to go ahead and cut open the ceiling so that it would make it easier for the plumber to see and let me know if they needed to fix something.

They've been our plumbers for years working on an electric on demand water heater when no one else would, to the most recent job of hooking in the washer and the standing faucet. They're prompt, courteous, and very capable.

He remove the old instead water heater for beverage in the kitchen. Installed the new one. It took one hour. He tested and it worked. Since this is the after hour then it had a surcharge but it is worthwhile. If the work was done before 5 it would have been less than $100.

The plumber "Josh" arrived, We had previously removed the access panel to the water heater. The valve was too close to the ground for him to access it, so we pushed it back and propped it up so he could. He flushed it to the outside for a good 10-15 minutes, during which a lot of sediment did come out. He also replaced one flapper valve and calibrated that toilet, then checked everywhere for leaks and drips. There were none found. He also answered some plumbing questions I had. He never seemed rushed and was friendly the whole time he was here.

The worker arrived when he said he would, was neat and friendly. I was impressed with his professional demeanor. I was pleased with the job they did, so I asked them to come back and install a yard faucet. They were prompt in coming back and I love my new faucet. They recommended that I have it put on a pipe so that I don't have to bend over to turn it on. Cost of the installation and the fixtures was $312. I will definitely call them again if/when I need a plumber.

Two gentlemen showed up to complete the job and were very professional and punctual. They were very easy to work with and did not waste any time. They completed all work necessary in about 5 hours. And very reasonably priced!! We had another company quote us over two times the price and said it would take them 2 days to complete!! I would definitely use this company again in the future and would recommend to anyone looking for a company that knows their stuff!!!

We had a toilet that had a slight odor of sewer gas. We'd had this problem several years ago with the same toilet, and had changed the wax ring and then grouted the toilet to the floor at that time. We called United off of Angie's list, and set an appointment slot between 1-3 pm. Josh called at 12:30 the day of the appointment and said he was running early. I was pleased with this, as I had to leave work to come meet him! When he got there he was very courteous, and immediately identified the problem. Since the toilet was grouted to the floor, Josh was concerned that he might break the bottom of the bowl while he was chipping away the grout. He called the owner to make sure there wasn't another option. I told him to go ahead and try it, and he was able to get the toilet up pretty quickly. Once this was done, he had to scrape up the grout, and did this very quickly as well. Josh got the wax ring replaced, and cleaned up very well as he went. I got a 15% discount because of an Angie's List coupon! I would definitely use this company again for all of my plumbing needs.

The guy came out and pulled all the hoses off the hose realer and said that was the problem. The service was not very helpful. When he left he still said I had some credit left.

On time, Gave me a quote on how much it would be before they started worked quickly & cleaned up afterwards.

United was responsive and described my options well. Work was performed in a timely matter. Final cost was as stated.

The job took about how long he expected, and we're very happy with the results. Mr. Pearson is professional, personable, and knowledgeable. We used the Angie's List coupon for 2 hours of lumbing work for $99, and paid an additional $57 for parts. (We had already bought the ice maker unit.)

The appointment was made real quick. Installer was on time, personal, and efficient.
