CRS Exteriors

We recently had CRS Exteriors replace all 33 windows and a failing Pella sliding glass door in our home. Our experience with CRS Exteriors was truly a pleasure. From our initial visit with Alan who came to our home and demonstrated Marvin Integrity windows to meeting Olen and Glen who are the owners and Frank who schedules the installation crews, everything about CRS is top notch. The team that installed our windows and sliding door were there when they said they would be, and exceeded my expectations with the work they did and I'm very particular. In addition to a problem free installation, they left absolutely no mess behind. With the Marvin windows and door, we notice that our home is quieter and the house seems to hold temperature much better. I highly recommend CRS Exteriors.

Update: After posting my review on Monday, I arrived home on Tuesday morning to find Glen Harness in my driveway. I respect that he cares enough about his business to come see me rather than making a phone call or replying by e-mail. He listened to what had happened and told me he wanted a chance to make it right, again, you have to respect that. He cmae back out today with his construction foreman and we went over things in more detail and he showed me his products and what he had worked up so far as one option and he is going to work up a second option and get back to me with that probably by tomorrow at the latest. Whether we do ultimately do business or not, I have to say that I am impressed with his concern and desire to take care of his customer. We met with the guys from CRS and spoke with Alan Keck at the Home Show at the Expo Center. We explained that we wanted our sunroom rebuilt with new casement windows, siding, roof and interior finished into a four seasons room. He came out, did some measurments, gave me his sales pitch and said he would call me back. After two weeks, I called him at which time he told me that CRS is not licensed to do what I wanted as a site built structure, they could only do my job using pre-fab panels. I told him that it was OK with me and to go ahead with the estimate. He said he would call me back once he heard back from his engineers as to the cost of the project. Again, I called him back after about three weeks and he said he was still waiting on the engineers, I have never heard from him again. I figure that if someone doesn't want or need my business then I don't want them on my job to start with after that. This project was in the range of 30-40K, I guess they don't need the money. This is poor business management and just rude, I would not recommend doing business with them if they don't care enough to have the courtesy to return a phone call or just admit they're not capable of doing the job.

CRS was very prompt in visiting to give an estimate and to reply to calls and emails. I asked them to get in touch with us the day before performing the repairs to allow us to prepare for being home to monitor repair work. They not only did as requested but also called again the day of repair just to confirm that they would would infact arrive and on time. That was much greatly appreciated. They arrived right on time and went to work at once. As work progressed they asked if all was to our satisfaction. Due to the extreme heights they had to move ladders constantly and did so carefully so as not to scar or damage existing siding and windows. They remaind focused on the work at hand without diversions for breaks or chit-chat. They asked that we review all work performed upon completion. They were both very knowlegable about thier work and were professional in every way. Price was as estimaied. They cleaned up nicely before leaving. We are very pleased with all aspects of their work from first call to completion! And,we will continue to use them for other projects in the future. We can recommend them without reservation.

Prompt, same day description/demonstration of product and options. Step by step description of the process and what to expect. On the spot price quote (No calling back and forth between the sales person and the "office"). Windows delivered and installed, as promised. Installation completed on time and as described. NO SURPRISES. Excellent product, excellent company. I highly recommend CRS & Marvin Infinity fiberglass windows over ANY competition. MUCH better in performance and appearance than vinyl. Indistiguishable in appearnce from wood window. Value for the money is amazing.

This is an extremely professional company that has work integrity and customer satisfaction as its main goal. The company was contacted and their sales manager came to our house at the appointed time. He was professional, knowledgable, courteous, and very detailed in the description of the product and the process of installation. All of our questions were answered completely. When compared to the other companies we interacted with, the experience with CRS was far more impressive and our decision was easily made. Their installation expert came out and did detailed measurements and discussed the actual installation, again patiently answering all of our questions. We were given an estimate of when the windows and door would be installed. We were then contacted at the estimated time, and the installation was scheduled. The installers came at the appointed time and worked continuously and diligently , being very conscientious about keeping the work area as confined as possible. When the work was completed, everything was put back in its proper place and the work area was picked up and even vacuumed ! We were contacted during the process and upon completion to assure that everything had been done to our satisfaction and that we were pleased with the finished product. This company is one of the companies that TVA approves to work with the In-Home Energy Evaluation Program. When their representative came out to inspect and confirm that the process was complete , he said the installation was extremely well done, and asked who had performed the work. When he was told it was CRS, his response was, " I am not surprised, they do excellent work - this is a very professional job. " Overall this was a very positive experience, the windows and doors look great and blend in with the house perfectly. l would highly recommend CRS.

First an estimate, then follow up by one of the owners. The crew arrived on the 28th and you could tell in just a few minutes that they were professionals and really knew what they were doing. Mr. David Walliker was the sub contractor and he and his crew did a remarkable job. The repacement siding and vent look better than original siding work. They were fast, efficient and cleaned up everything before they left. Highly recommend.

Their products are superior in quality. CRS did what they said they would do, kept us informed all the way through the process, no surprises and no up charges. Their own installation employees came to our home and stayed for several weeks and did not leave until the job was completed 100%. Each team member was well trained and concerned about not interfering with our lifestyle during a process that is messy and exciting at the same time. CRS could not have been more accommodating and concerned that everything they did exceeded our expectations. We strongly recommend CRS and we love our new Marvin windows and doors...they have made our 18 year old home feel new again!

Asked for a quote to replace our windows. Person called us back to set up a time and showed as agreed. Measured all windows in order to provide an accurate quote, stated the we would need temperate glass in the bathroom (2 out of 3 persons quoting mentioned this). Quoted us 4-6 weeks to installation. Once we accepted the quote, their installation expert came out and did detailed measurements and installation instructions for the actual work. Again showed on time as agreed. About 4 weeks later received phone call that they where ready to install. As stated before installation took 2 days, and we are very satisfied with the product and work.

The crew showed up on time and later one of the company partners stopped by to make sure everything was going okay. They matched the siding absolutely perferctly and I am 100% satisfied. They were on time and on budget,\. I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS COMPANY..

There were some things that I was not pleased with. There was some communication problems. They were replacement windows and they are not centered from the outside like they said. They just went ahead and did it.

A guy working broke some mini blind clips. He bought me new ones. He took the time to go on the internet and buy them and bring them to me when they came in. This company was very good. I referred a friend and she was happy as well. They even sent me a check for $100 for referring my friend.

I had something come up financially and I am not going to be able to afford it. I was impressed with the guy. I thought that the price was pretty good. He seemed very knowledgeable about the product. He didn’t try to push anything extra on to me. I asked him about French doors and he told me how much more expensive that would be. He didn’t try to talk me into that. I really appreciated that. He seemed very straightforward. He told me right out what he would do and what the cost would be. He showed up the day before our appointment was but it turned out okay.

They came out to bid the job, show us samples, and were very professional. They sent us a letter in late 2011 that they were behind in getting work done, because there was so much roofing and repair work being done all that fall because of storm damage throughout the area. They ended up installing our windows in January, and the first time they installed them they told us the windows had been mis-measured and had to be replaced. So it took them a few weeks to get the windows in, but that wasn't a huge inconvenience for us. I love the windows. My only complaint is that they assured us the windows would be installed before the end of 2011, and they weren't; this means we missed out on getting a sizable tax credit.

The experienece went well. There were a couple of uncontrollable delays and the finished product looks very good. Clean up was done on a daily basis and the end result was what I expected.

Very well. All windows were measured perfectly. One door turned out too narrow and they returned with a new door and replaced it. Great experience!

They did a great job overall. They arrived promptly, did the work and cleaned up afterwards. There were no problems. The windows look great, the blinds were reinstalled and fit perfectly. I would definitely use them again. I wish I could replace the rest of my windows and use them.

I have been using them for a while. They do a super job. They are excellent.

We are very impressed with the quailty of the replacment windows- 27 of them, and most importantly with CRS staff. Our total project was done in two installations. I would like to commend the ownership and management of CRS for taking action when required. We had an issue with the superviors of the first installation crew rushing to complete the instllation and led to some quality of workmanship issues regarding finish work. During the on-going project review, CRS identifity the issues and quicly - next day, resolved the issues by replacing the crew and the subpar workmanship. We were very impressed with everyone within the company and their resolve to make sure everything was done correctly to a high standard of workmanship. To Glenn, Olen, Frank, Tim, Darrel and the work crews - great job. You kept our million dollar house with million dollars views in tack with the quality of product and workmanship.

We are happy with the product and the installation. The price was competitive. So all is well that ends well. We had to wait kind of long for it all to happen. We ordered the window in August and only got it installed in January.

This business is a great company that did a first-class installation of Marvin Infinity Replacement Windows in our home. You will be glad you selected them. The owner's of this business, Olen Rowe and Glen Harness, are actively involved in making sure the customer is satisfied and followed up several times to make sure we were pleased. John Hoghes' installation crew was punctual, courteous and professional. One of the installers in particular, Mike, is a master at carpentry. Everything he cut and installed was perfect. The Infinity windows that CRS handles are the best in quality and workmanship. They also work and perform well. We looked at Pella, Anderson and other brands of replacement windows and all are inferior to the Marvin Infinity windows. CRS is the only window company we could find that relaces the entire window, including brickmold and sills.

Floyd and his crew did an outstanding job on installing the siding and trimming around the windows. Everything was level with clean corners. They took their time to ensure quality vs "getting it done" to move on to another job. I would highly reccommend "Floyd and crew" even if you have to wait until he can get to your house; the wait will be well worth it.

Workers damaged some sheet metal that is protecting the sheet metal skylights, They made no attempt to restore the damage.

The company's production supervisor, Olen, came to my home with my solicitation. He showed me a sample of their metal roofing and gave me an estimate of the total cost using 29 gauge metal with a 30 (I think) year paint warranty. This was before the tornadoes that struck East Tennesseee the next month. I didn't get back in touch with him until 10/2011 and they are now backed up at least 6 weeks and cannot perform work in a timely manner. I understand that their primary business is window installation and that this was their initial entry into the Knoxville market in the early 1990's (date?). They are the main (only?) representative for Marvin windows in Knoxville which I believe compare to Pella in quality. I also have found no ratings for their roofing jobs on Angie's list, just EXCELLENT ratings for high end window installation. At my request, a couple of days later a most polite, professional and knowledgable window salesman arrived and also gave me an estimate for replacement windows.

They did a good job. They were not as good about cleanup as they could have been. We found nails and that sort of thing after they were gone on the patio going out to the pool which concerned us. Other than that they did a good job. They were courteous and on time. They got it done in a timely way. We would use them again.

Their price was a little higher than others but other than that they seemed very professional and like they knew what they were talking about.
