Did not cover floor and furinture very good and got paint all over things took my wife and I days to clean up and years later still finding paint on things . People that use CertaPro need to have their head examed. I wouldn't use them to paint a dog house. Promised us 5 people and got 2 1/2.

+ 1 moreWe have been looking forward to having our house repainted for years. We've been the house for 12 years and things were looking dingy (if not outright ugly in a few spots). CertaPro had done some work at our church and we always kept that in mind when choosing a painting contractor. We also added some exterior painting including our picket fence, exterior columns and shutters. Overall the crew was fast, careful and did a great job. As I watched the crew work, I noticed several little things that showed they cared about quality. When they painted the exterior columns, they removed the downspouts instead of painting behind them. In our kitchen we have outlet covers that are painted to match the walls. They removed them and painted them to match the new color. While staining the fence, they carefully moved all the bushes out of the way to get to the entire fence. They helped us move some furniture around after they were done to help us get back to normal faster. It's little things like this that make us very happy with our choice of CertaPro. The final punch list was very small and taken care of quickly. Price is probably not the cheapest but we paid to have confidence in the quality of the job. It was worth it. I would recommend CertaPro without reservation. (Quick note: Our job was mostly interior painting but CertaPro seems to be classified as exterior painting by Angie's List. Don't know how to change that.)
Description of Work: They completely repainted our interior, pressure washed and stained our fence outside, painted our shutters and exterior columns.

So after changing our plans they changed the time back to the original. It was problem with communication. I would hire them back again. The two men really did a great job. They were very thorough.

+ -1 moreGrossly poor job. So much so that we will have to replace the trim and doors in the entire house. Trim paint was full of runs and streaks. Our builder has tried to sand, but it impossible to correct. Many places in the trim were not even covered. The wall paint was uneven and in many places, was not even covered. Must have used a large, nappy roller as the walls look like they have been texturized. When asked about the final result of the paint, I was told that all of their jobs look like that. How could they possibly have repeat customers with the quality of the job looking as it does. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT A PROFESSIONAL JOB! I really do not want them back inside our house.

+ 0 moreVery responsive with original estimate, punctual with time of service. Had to remind them to go back and hand wash awning. I felt like I was paying extra for this and it should be done. Some residual spots on house and awning after pressure washing that I cleaned myself (not a huge deal). My flood or house lights had water in them afterwards (these should have been removed or wrapped before cleaning). Pricing might have been a bit high or moderately high. You may find someone to do it for cheaper but they may not be as reliable. Overall, negatives were minor and I was satisfied. What I saw while they were here and asked them to fix, they did. They were professional, prompt. I would use this company again and I would recommend them. They have done previous projects for me and did a GREAT job staining my privacy fence and painting shutters. The company does care about customers and does follow up with you.

Crew members Donald and Shawn were excellent workers and did a great job of repairing and repainting. The CertaPro office was also efficient in handling he quotation for the scope of work (Drew) and the scheduling of the work (Tricia). Very pleased with the experience.
Description of Work: Repaired/replaced porch facia, partial roof soffit, window brick moldings, front stair stringers and rotted riser. All work was painted as well as porch decking.

Used them to paint the cedar siding on the back of the house and the request was to paint 2 coats. Fortunately, my husband was watching them and they had only painted one coat. He promptly called the office and informed them of the situation to which they sent the men back out to put on the 2nd coat of paint.

However, do to attempting to finish the job in two day their finished product was very much substandard with paint runs on walls and trim (they chose to use a brush instead of a roller in certain areas and it is obvious to the eye that there are two different textures) We called to have them come do some rework to correct defects and it has taken them almost 10 days to respond to our telephone calls (this was only done when we contacted the Corporate Office) Overall I am sad to say that we could not recommend Centrapro to our friends and will not be using them in the future,

+ -1 moreIn moving out and preparing my home to be listed for sale I initially wanted the shutters, part of the foyer, the livingroom and the ceilings painted. They came out and did that and it was great! I became overwhelmed but what I thought I could paint and called them back. They painted an upstairs bedroom and bath, did some wall repairs in another bath and painted that wall and painted the dining room. I got overwhelmed again and called them a third time! This time they painted all the baseboards, doors and doorjams! My home looks so amazing! They answer their phone or respond quickly to any messages I've left, they are on spot with appointments, their painting crews are prompt, curteous, and very neat. They work quickly and are professionals! This company brings back memories of the way businesses used to be run! Bravo to CertaPro Painters! I would call them again in a heartbeat!

+ -1 moreI used to paint houses professionally for 10 years. But as time marched on, I realized I could not paint this living room as I did not have a ladder tall enough or the gumption to do it. I looked on Angie's List to find someone who could do the work at a decent price and found CertaPro. Had them come out and do a bid and thought it was a fair price. They came in and repaired all the cracks, nail pops and sanded the walls down. Then they painted the ceiling and walls. I inspected their work and feel they did a great job. I wold definitely use them again!

+ 0 moreHad estimate done no actual work was ever completed. Please see above for information. 6/21/13 I would like to respond to the company's comments on my review. First, I am not upset with them I was just blown away by their pricing and just wanted to let others know how the company does on estimates and prices. However after seeing how they like to lie in their responses to reviews I am upset. Yes, I do agree with them on why you get several estimates so that you can make an educated decision on who you want to go with and hope it's the right company you chose and a great job is done. However, I would like to correct them on a few things that were blatantly lied about in their comments. First, where they stated that they included all the washing/pressure washing, prep, etc. in the price and that it was clear in the proposal. That is not true. In the General Description for the work they were going to do was typed out word for word as: Painting to: Front decking/facia, railing, steps; Garage area decking/facia, steps; Back decking/facia, railing, steps, posts. So where in that description does it state that pressure washing or any prep work is to be included in their work? Second, the portion of the estimate that showed the pricing costs all it showed was written out exactly as: All labor, paint, materials: $4,250.00 Optional items: Promotion discount of ($500.00) Cash/Check discount of ($200.00) Total price of $3,550.00 So again I ask where does it show it was clearly listed in the estimate. It was not listed and it was never stated to me in any of the email or phone conversations I had with the representative I was in contact with. As for the company I went with, they were AWESOME!! They were true professionals and had certifications, insured, and did a great job! It was not cheap either, it was $2,000.00 for the job.
Description of Work: I did not end up hiring CertaPro Painters because their pricing was outrageously high. Their prices were $2,350.00 difference above other companies I got estimates from. The price I listed above was going to be the price with my discounts (Angie's List). The actual price before any of the discounts were given was actually for $4,250.00. This was an estimate to do two decks and small porch off of my garage. They were only going to apply a preservative product (Restore) on the decks and that was it. I am doing all of the prep work as far as pressure washing and cleaning of everything and I am supplying all of the product so all they have to do is come out and apply the product to the decks and that is what they want to charge. I read a review dated 2/3/2013 for someone who had them stain their entire log home, painting the trim & exterior doors for $3,500.00. So how is it that they charge that for an entire home but I only wanted my decks done which definitely is not equivalent in size by no means and they want to charge a fortune of $4,250.00 and after discount just about the same as the entire house off by $50. No wonder they can afford their commercials and high end expenses when they are charging the prices they do they can afford it. Now as far as their response to my request they were very punctual and the representative was very nice and replied to my emails in a timely manner and was punctual on his appointment to come out to my home and do the estimate. He also returned my calls promptly. However, when I contacted him today, 5/11/2013 to let him know I had opened his estimate and reviewed it and was in total shock because of the price he didn't seem too worried or concerned to work on it with me. I told him that it was a ridiculous amount considering that I was doing all of their prep work for them, supplying the material, and all they had to do was apply the product but that didn't seem to phase him at all and he wasn't too concerned with trying to work with me. He simply said "well let us know if we can be of assistance for any future jobs". I thought to myself REALLY!! For that price they should be pressure washing everything themselves, prepping it and supplying the material with applying the product and I shouldn't have to do anything! It's really sad to see how a company can charge such high prices thinking that everyone is made of money which we are not! It's just a joke to see what they charge and don't even care if you can afford it or not. I have gone with another company that has just as good ratings and actually has all straight A's on here and with the BBB so I'll let you know when they complete the job how it is.

+ 0 moreI searched Angie's List for a painter. I contacted three, one of those was CertaPro. I received quotes from all. All were within $200 of each other. I decided to go with CertaPro because of the quality of the paint they used and their professionalism. After talking with the CertaPro representative I called one of the individuals who provided one of the other quotes. I asked them what type of paint they would use and they related it was a mid-grade paint. I asked them how much their quote would increase if they used the premium paint that CertaPro quoted. They related it would increase the quote by about $200. This put their quote within $50 of CertaPro. I felt like CertaPro would be my choice because I believe in doing the job right the first time and that includes using quality products. I was not disappointed. CertaPro was accomodating while I made my paint decision. One the day the painting was to occur the crew, my representative, and the manager all showed up to ensure all was in order and ready to go. The painting crew was great, extremely clean, and thorough. I inspected the painting before they left with the crew leader and they immediately addressed a couple of minor things we spotted. They also let us know if we saw anything after they left they would be happy to return and address. Their work was completed in one day and everything was clean when they left. I received a follow up call from my representative to ensure I was happy with the work as well. I would most definitely use CertaPro again in the future and would highly recommend them to others.
