Description of Work: On September 4, 2015, Cedar Bluff Plumbing replaced my 40 gallon gas water heater with a 50 gallon Bradford White gas water heater pursuant to an Angie's List deal I purchased for $850 on September 2, 2015. On the morning of my appointment with Cedar Bluff, about 30 minutes before they were to be here, I got a call from Chuck (the owner) who told me that the cost of the water heater had gone up (I believe he said it had gone up $100) and that I would have to pay that additional amount if I wanted my water heater installed. I had just purchased the deal from Angie's List a couple of days before, so I asked Chuck to please contact Angie's List since my deal was with Angie's List and take the matter up with them. It concerned me that the price was not what the deal stipulated. After a couple of hours though, Mike, one of Cedar Bluff's plumbers, got here and said that I would get my deal at Angie's List's quoted price. Mike and his assistant, Mack, were very polite and professional. The only concern I have for others is that Angie's List is still advertising the deal for $850 when Cedar Bluff has to charge about $100 more for the service when the day comes. The price of the water heaters has gone up for Cedar Bluff Plumbing, and that is what has caused the price of the deal to have gone up. Chuck at Cedar Bluff told me he has contacted Angie's List about the change in price, but for some reason, Angie's List continues to advertise the water heater deal for $850. I only say all this to spare any new customers the disappointment of being told they were sold their deal at the wrong price. I do wish Angie's List would take care of this matter and correct the price of their Cedar BLuff Plumbing water heater deal. I was very relieved that Cedar Bluff honored the price I was given and did a good job of installing the water heater. It was the confusion and disappointment on the morning my water heater was to be installed and the fact that Cedar Bluff ended up being about 2 hours late due to the price dispute that I am giving them a "B." If that hadn't happened, I would have given them an "A."

Description of Work: They fixed a leak under our bathroom vanity. It turned out to be a leaking supply line. They quickly determined the problem and replaced both supply lines under the vanity. They also replaced the supply line to the toilet. Both plumbers were courteous, cordial and worked quickly to resolve the problem.

Description of Work: They were friendly and fast. They came, installed the toilet (which I had purchased myself) and then took away the packaging it came in for me. Moreover, as I had not unpacked the toilet, I was unaware that it did not come with a seat, which they kindly provided. They were on time, did very fast work, were friendly, and went beyond what I expected them to do. I can't ask for more than that.

Description of Work: Late in the afternoon, I had come in the back, downstairs door and had gone upstairs. I neither noticed nor heard anything strange. I took a shower & went back downstairs - at which time I heard water running. It took several seconds to realize that I had a serious problem. I tried shutting off the water intake (located inside, downstairs) but knew to not force old plumbing. The only company I could set eyes on in the phone directory was Cedar Bluff. I called them (it was ~4pm). They had Chris & his helper out in a short time. I think, because it was late in the day, Chris thought he was going to have to start digging outside. He was none too happy! He turned off the water inside & had the helper shut off the water at the street. Chris had to remove 2 wood trim pieces from around a window, quarter-round from a corner, the baseboard, and a large section of paneling - without breaking them! The street water was turned back on; the inside water supply turned back on and... Bingo! there was water squirting out an extremely small pin-hole in the copper pipe serving the house. Chris removed the old section of pipe (I suggested he remove as much as possible, as it was all ~50 years old), which he did. He got product smeared on both connectors and got them installed into the existing line. In the process of fitting one of the connectors, Chris cut himself, so the helper took over. Chris sweated in beads of sealant with an acetylene torch. He told me to call back on 10/01, for his return to put the paneling & trim back in place. I had the nice job of pulling back carpeting & pad, setting up a huge fan - that ran continuously for 3 days. If Chris had not shown up so fast, and the paneling not been blocking the outward flow of water, the water problem, inside, would have been really bad. In the meantime, I purchased proper insulation for the wall and plumbing, and installed that myself. Chris could not make the return trip on 10/2, so 3 hours after the appointment time, 2 other fellows showed up. As one of them pointed out, "I'm a left-handed plumber hammering nails". They were very nice and got the job done quite well. I am so very pleased. This could very well have happened after-hours, which would have necessitated an emergency service visit plus a much higher cost.

Description of Work: Our experience with Cedar Bluff Plumbing was excellent. Although they had to return more than once to finally locate the leaks in our sinks, they persevered. Each time I called to report that the leak continued, the plumber promptly returned. He was unfailingly courteous and competent. He ultimately resolved two annoying problems that another plumber refused to tackle. I will definitely call them again.

Description of Work: I've used this service since I moved to Knoxville ten years ago, most recently on Tuesday September 8. They are easy to contact, come when they say they will come and are unfailingly efficient and courteous.

Description of Work: Had a pipe leading to an outside faucet burst in the snow/ice events in February. As Murphy's Law always prevails, this happened on a Friday evening! Contacted company on Saturday morning not knowing if with road conditions, they could even get here. He arrived around 4:00 that afternoon despite the weather! Was extremely professional, knowledgeable and quick to solve my problem. And I was very pleased by cost to perform repair on a weekend day! Would definitely recommend them and plan to use them going forward.

Description of Work: Two experienced plumbers replaced two used commodes. I am pleased with the quality of their work. They spent no more than an hour and charged an added $70 explaining it was for connection parts. I was a little surprised the parts cost that much and no added cost estimate was given before the work was performed.

Description of Work: They did some general plumbing work on our house, including work on an outside faucet and indoor work.

Description of Work: This was a wonderful experience. The house had multiple plumbing issues, including blocked drains, leaking pipes, worn-out parts, etc. We presented the plumber with a list of things that needed to be addressed, and he went about attacking all of them methodically. He was polite, efficient and had all the parts he needed. Great, great service. He arrived on time, assessed the situation and went to work. We thought it might take a full day to complete everything. He did it in half that time. We highly recommend this company.
