Scenic City Plumbing

I was awakened by a very loud sound coming from my bathroom at 4:45am. I went in to discover that my bathtub faucet was running full blast even though the handles were in the OFF position. YIKES!!! The tub was not draining at all, and the water was coming up fast. I was able to get outside to the street and turn off the water to my house before it overflowed. It was 15 degrees outside.I called Scenic City Plumbing at 5:45am and left a message requesting urgent help. My call was returned at 7:45am, and the service provider was at my house at 9:00am to do the repairs. I was very grateful that they responded so quickly. It was my only off day of the week, and I had so much to accomplish. It was truly a relief to have that repair done so promptly and courteously. I would highly recommend Scenic City Plumbing to anyone who requires plumbing services. :)

Judy, who works in the office, called Monday to remind us of the work scheduled to be done the following morning and then she called again Tuesday morning to let us know the time the workers would be arriving. Very thoughtful thing to do. David and Pete did an excellent job. They were working hard each day, not wasting time standing around talking as many employees are prone to do and they cleaned up things when they departed. The plan was to replace the pipes in the part of the house that had the two baths since the kitchen water had enough pressure. After the guys did this and installed the faucets and garbage disposal there was no hot water any where in the house and no water at all in the kitchen. So, after talking with Jeff Logan, it was decided to the rest of the pipes needed to be replaced. Jeff would come out early today to give us an estimate for the cost. Pete and David arrived about 15 minutes early and Jeff followed shortly thereafter. Jeff gave us the quote of $1,200 and the guys began the work. By 3:00 the work was completed. We had more water pressure than we had ever had. The guys were very careful and checked and rechecked all the connections. We could not be more pleased with the work that was done. I think Scenic City Plumbing does a good job in hiring good employees and is, hopefully, a good employer. Each time we've used them we have been very satisfied with the work done by the employees. After the guys left this evening, Jeff called to be sure we were happy with the work. Not many company owners would make that extra step. He said if there was any problem to be sure to let them know.We greatly appreciated it.

Water heater failed during Thursday night///left message on company mail at approximately 6:00 A.M. Friday morning and I received return call at approx. 8:00 A.M.///scheduled service with arrival time between 10-11 this same day//requested approx. 30 lead before arrival and I was called at 9:30 and told plumber in route and they arrived at approx. 10. Very courteous and professional personal. The new unit installed w/out any difficulties w/old unit removed and area cleaned up. Essentially called at 6:00 A.M. and new unit installed and hot water in system by 12:30 same day. Doesn't get much better. Also Don & Pete were super courteous and helpful..

The installation of the water heart went well, the technicians were very nice. I had to run an errand and asked if they would need anything while I was gone, they did not. When I returned they had just finished up the service. I had to wait sometime for the hot water to start working, which was fine. I left the house to run another errand, when came back I inspected the water heater. I notice the smell of natural gas coming from the location of the water heater. I knelt down and determinate the smell was coming from a valve on the water heater. I called the service provider back to info them of the issue. I spoke with a female; she was same person I scheduled the service with. When I expressed my concern she didn't offer assistance. She asked if I was an electrician, which mention when I scheduled the appointment, I of course answered that I was. She asked if it were me in this passion ?would I drop everything if someone who had a problem.? I was offended by the remarked but answered, I would if it was a health hazard. She informed me that she didn't think I had a gas leak. She said she couldn't get anyone right now but would call before someone sending someone when she could. After waiting a few hours without a call, I called them and found they were closed. I left a message and the after hours person called me back. They told me someone called, came out and looked at the water heater. He said they just walked in the garage since the door was open and no one came to the door. They said they inspected the water heater and nothing seemed wrong. The overnight person agreed to come out and look at it. He used a torch to check the valve and said he saw no spark which means no issue. I overheard him speaking on the phone and heard the person on the other ended saying they would replace he valve if I was willing to pay for it. I had zero issues with the valve before having this new water heater installed.

Provider arrived on time and called before coming. He was friendly, courteous and worked in a timely manner to do the repairs needed. He explained what he was doing and made recommendations. He answered all questions and was very informative. He was very professional and we were very pleased with the service we received. We will use Scenic City Plumbing the next time we have a need for plumbing repairs.

We had a backup in our pipes from two bathrooms in the older part of our home. The plumbers from Scenic City inspected the area and snaked the pipes. They also removed and sealed off a water line in the basement that was no longer being used.

Very responsive from initial call to onsite. Was able to repair without any cutting of the ceiling and ended up being a minor problem. Plumber was polite, courteous and very helpful.

Great! Plumber arrived on time as expected. He had to go back to his warehouse to get the part, but it was quick and professional. It works well now. Pricing was what was expected.

Scenic City Plumbing was a pleasure to work with from the first phone call until the job was done. The two men who came out were prompt, friendly and professional. They installed a new sink and a new garbage disposal on new countertops. I chose to save my old faucet and it was no problem for them to reinstall it. The cost was what I expected (plumbing jobs are never cheap!) and I was able to use their $20 Angie's List coupon that I printed out and gave to them. I will definitely call Scenic City Plumbing for any of my future needs.

I initially had a 2:00 p.m. appointment and I called Scenic City Plumbing to ask if they could come 30 mins. before my initialed scheduled appointment and needless to say, they were very accommodating. Greg got there on time and worked on both toilets. We knew what was going on and what needed to be fixed and of course, with all of his professional knowledge, Greg confirmed what my husband and I knew what was happening with both toilets. My mother has used Scenic City for years and I see why she refuses to go with anyone else. I will definitely call Scenic City back to have some other plumbing jobs that need to be done soon. The price was fair and reasonable. Thanks to Angie's List I even had a coupon.

Randy was absolutely wonderful. I called to schedule a time and they did their best to come today and I was pleasantly surprised when they did. The work was quick and easy, but he took the time to answer questions and help me figure out where some plumbing items were in my house. I would recommend Scenic City to everyone.

Scenic city called and said the service guys were on the way- in about 15 minutes they were at my house. Randy found the problem very fast and gave me a couple of options on how best to repair. He worked very fast and all work was high quality replacement of the old faucet (that had split last winter in the extreme cold temperatures). If I ever have problems I will definitely call them again and would highly recommend them to do your plumbing repairs!

I called to request services at 8:30 in the morning and had service technicians arrive in 2 hours. I received a phone call when the technicians were on their way. Once at the house, they went straight to work and finished in half an hour. They were knowledgeable about the repair that needed to be made, even to the point of knowing the brand of parts used in the toilet before seeing the toilet itself. Very professional, clean, and courteous.

I called Scenic City around 1:00pm today and they were able to send someone out toward the end of the afternoon. They called when they were on the way and arrived quickly after that. Fortunately, it was a simple problem to correct (if you know about plumbing, which I'm not). He adjusted the faucet's built in "scalding safety" and Viola, hot showers for everyone. The standard service charge was for the 1st hour, so I was able to use the rest of that time to get some suggestions and advice for other concerns I had about hot water heater set-up, master shower, and dishwasher. Randy was very informative and obviously knew what he was talking about. He gave me some great hints, solutions and possibilities to correct issues at a future time. Certainly, I will be using them again in the future.

This is the second time that I have used Scenic City Plumbing. The first time was in 2008. Both times my service has been excellent. I contracted SCP to install a toilet. An appointment was scheduled on Thursday, October 2, 2014 @ 9:00. I was called that morning confirming my appointment. David Wells, the gentleman who installed my toilet, actually showed up before 9:00. He was not only punctual, but courteous. He installed my toilet and left the area spotless. I am well pleased. Not only will I use Scenic City Plumbing again, but I will recommend them to my friends.

The two arrived on time. They were very courteous and professional at all times. Greg was not certain the pressure value would fix the problem with the low water pressure in the one bath and made suggestions to try if that did not work. The two men worked hard for about four hours. They were neat with their work as well. After installing the water line to the refrigerator they moved it back where it belonged. They also shimmed a toilet in the basement that was not level. I would definitely use this company again. We just moved from St. Petersburg into this house that we purchased a month ago so we knew nothing about any businesses in the area so we had to trust Angie's List. It worked terrific plus we got a $20 discount for being a member!

Unfortunately I was not present for the installation. I regret that decision. They had to tell me over the phone that the main line under the sink was leaking, a problem I had not experience in living in the house the prior 4 years. 6.5 hours to accomplish the above tasks with 2 men there for 2.5 of those hours. Basically I asked for water to be connected to appliances in my kitchen that were already there, asked for nothing outlandish except for maybe running ~25 ft of line through my crawlspace. They also had to drill a hole through one of my cabinets and under my refrigerator. For this I paid nearly $1,000. I believe I overpaid, otherwise I need to get into the plumbing business.

Called around noon to have the diverter valve changed in one of our bathrooms, they were here at 2:30 doing the work. Great company to deal with.

They did the work the same day we called and let us know everything they were going to do. We discussed all options and let me choose what to do. I had wanted to get the larger water heater updated since we bought house as it was missing a thermal expansion unit according to the house inspector. The old water heater had ruptured and could not easily be replaced as they don't make that size anymore and getting a slightly bigger one through our crawl space door would have been a chore. It was very old. The hot and cold pipes on the large water heater were switched and they fixed that too. We could tell an immediate difference in the temperature of the water after the larger water heater was setup properly. They pulled the old water heater out from under the floor and somebody saw them and stopped and got the old heater. I did not have to do anything. I'm very glad to not have to go under the floor ever again!!! They saved me a lot of money by not replacing the old water heater which would have cost me over $400 by itself.

First of all, Randy and his partner Travis were very punctual and professional. Randy took the time to diagnose where the leak was coming from, before he had to cut a hole in the ceiling. He checked the water flow from the toilet, sinks and shower; he even checked to be sure it wasn't coming from the upstairs HVAC unit. Once he determined it wasn't a toilet leak, he cut a small hole where the water spot was. Once inside, he quickly saw that the pipe just above was not properly glued. He cut the pipe in half and determined that it was a vent pipe, so it does not have constant waterflow. He repaired that with a rubber "boot" and re-glued the damaged area. I would definitely use Scenic City Plumbing again.

He was pretty good with the way he did. He was punctual and knew what he was doing. He had some parts with him. They came very quickly.
