I had Bailey's install a Lennox Heatpump/air handler approx. one year ago (1/2017). I've waited a full year to ensure the system would still be in working condition before I left a review. I called into the shop today (1/17/2018) to see if someone would come out for a one year inspection to ensure the system was correctly running but I was informed that the one year free labor is typically reserved for a problem with the system not an inspection. So I figured I would go ahead an leave my review since I'll likely be looking for another company to service the unit from here out. *I'd like to say up front that it seems the unit is in working condition and now properly installed. The initial visit Bailey's sent out 2 guys to install my new Lennox system. The younger guy (I suspect a new employee) of the two headed into the basement to dismantle the old air handler and install the new one, while the other gentleman was in charge of sealing the ductwork with mastic. Later in the evening a 3rd guy joined the group to move the new condenser (outside) into place. There was a hiccup with the younger guy wanting to carry the condenser through a tight space that I said wouldn't work, but he insisted. A couple of minutes later we backed the now scratched unit out of the space and took a smarter route. (I had to help carry the unit this time). It was a long day for the guys at this point so we agree to finish up the install the following day. When the guys left I inspected what has been done so far and noticed the fore-mentioned young employee had installed the air handler in the basement incorrectly and decided to sawzall the cover panel in order to rectify his mistake (pictured) and allow for an opening. Not what I wanted to see on my 5k+ purchase. The following day the young man didn't return with the other two installers. I told the guys of the issue and they had a service tech order a new panel and come up to fix the problem (the young man had installed the condensation pan inside the unit backwards) while the other two finished up the rest of the install. At the end of this day I inspected the work again and realized that the RETURN AIR BOX was not properly mounted to the air handler causing the unit to suck in basement air to cool my living space. At this point I was losing what little confidence I had in the company. The 3rd day they sent out a nice older gentleman who rectified my issues with the return air box. We talked together for a bit an came to a conclusion as to what to do to fix the issue. He bent me a new return box out of sheet metal on site and installed it properly. At the end of the day the install was proper and done (to the best of my knowledge) correctly. I would hate to know what would have happened if I didn't inspect the work however. I would not use them again for an install. I can't speak as to how they do on maintaining a unit, but install is not their strong point it seems.

It went badly.  The worker & his young helper (or trainee) arrived & I gave them the thermostat.  The main worker turned off a breaker in the breaker box before removing/installing the thermostat.  He then removed the screws & took off the old thermostat & re-used the same screws (even though there were new screws in the package) to put up the new thermostat.  This all took 20-25 minutes to do & the worker never even programmed the thermostat.  After he left, I got out the instructions & programmed it for the time & temperatures wanted.  They charged me $70.00 for 20-25 minutes of taking it off and putting new one on wall, without even programming it.  Later in the afternoon, I noticesd it was getting hot in the house & I looked at the thermostat and even though I had it programmed for 75 degrees, it showed the actual temperature to be 81 degrees.  By this time, it was about 3:30 or 4 p.m. & I knew there was something wrong.  I called Same Day Heating & Air company & they said they could be out between 8 - 11 a.m. the next morning.  They got to my house about 8:30 a.m. and told me to turn the unit ON (the previous night when I called, they asked me to turn it off so it wouldn't freeze up).  He couldn't find anything wrong & I mentioned that the man with Bailey's Htg. & Air had originally turned off a breaker & maybe he should check to see if he had turned it back on (I didn't think about that the previous night).  He looked, and sure enough, the man from Bailey's had NOT turned the breaker back ON after turning it OFF in the beginning.  The man from Same Day Htg. & Air said he didn't understand why he would have needed to turn OFF the breaker in the first place as he told me what he should have done (I forgot what he told me he should have done).  After the man from Same Day Htg. & Air turned the breaker ON, the A/C unit immediately began working.
Because of the circumstances of nothing being wrong except the man from Bailey's Htg. & Air did NOT turn the breaker back ON, he said he would just charge me a Service Call of $25.00.
I was very pleased with him and thankful that I didn't have to deal with Bailey's Heating & Air again.

I contacted their office at 10am in the morning and within 30 minutes Randy called me back.  He worked directly with our tenant to set up a time and by that afternoon he had completed the maintenance on the unit.
I was very pleased with his responsiveness and his professionalism.  We will definitely use this company again in the future for any issues that arise.

This is a great business to deal with. The prices are fair and considered to be very good.
