I was charged $230 for the initial service call for Freon re-charge, service call, and labor for a "warranteed" part. The part will be free, but the total bill, after talking them down from $900 will be $530. They do not stand behind the products they install. We were told this was a factory defective part that failed. Why should we be charged anything when it was the product they installed?

David, our service rep. sealed up all air leaks at the unit. Insulated,
caulked and checked over whole unit. In addition, he checked the freon
levels. He was not only professional but punctual and professional. The
whole service cost was a shocking $85, which I thought was GREAT and
reasonable. Don't want air problems but if I have them, C and M will be
who I use from now on. Thanks

Called a few places about having my air conditioner replaced. It was 16 years old and i didn't wish to wait until it died. C and M came with the best recommendations. Their product was good, the price was competitive. When I called to tell them that they could do the job, when would they like to come buy?, they told me they would be at my house in two days. They were at my house at 7:30 am. They had the old one out, new one installed, working, everything cleaned up and were gone by noon. They were professional, I was happy. It is 10 months later, no problems to report. I am still happy.

They came by promptly to shut off the gas. Scheduled an appointment for a couple of weeks later to give me time to prep for the new line and dig out the old one.
They finished the install in one day for a very reasonable price. I estimate that to buy the length of gas line I needed would have cost almost half of what the total including labor was, and everyone that I worked with was very nice and answered all of my questions.
A very good deal and quality install.

I was very pleased with the service. The company was prompt and courteous. After doing the check up on the system my heat pump is now running properly-when the temperature is cold enough it does switch into auxillary heat and the emergency heat is working. I will call this company again if my pump isn't working properly.

My downstairs air conditioner was running continually and not cooling. The C and M Heating man arrived promptly, thoroughly cleaned the unit (which was incredibly dirty and was the problem-I did not know this could happen-It is important to change the filters regularly) and added a pound of Freon. The service man was very professional. The guy was there for over an hour and the bill was only $160 (including freon)- half of what I thought it would be. It has been over one month later and it is still working perfectly. While I hope to never have air conditioning problems again, I would definitely call them.

Overall, this service went very well. Cand M arrived on time, performed the service, then verified that the unit was cooling correctly. They took the time to explain their measurements so I could understand them. I did not agree with their choice to park in my neighbor's driveway without their permission in order to get their work van closer to the unit. However, this is a small issue and I will gladly use them again. I got two other quotes, and they beat the competition's prices handily.

As propane is not a popular fuel source, my regular heat and air man does not carry the insurance to run the gas pipe and could not stub out heating unit or water heater that he'd just installed. Therefore, my propane company recommended Cand M Heating and Air for this very simple job. When I originally called, Mike informed me he had to check his schedule and would call me back the next day. Three days later, I called HIM back, at which point he told me it would be Tuesday of the following week before his "guys" could get to my job. This held up inspections, getting the heat on so we could acclimate the flooring, amongst other things. When the workers arrived, they were told to keep the gate into the pasture (which they had to go through to get to the exterior wall where they were to work) closed and secured with a chain. I have 3 horses in that pasture (approximately 4 acres), 2 of which are up and coming show horses, and I did not want them getting out. The gate was left open at least twice while the workers were working, and when they left for the day, they left the gate open (this is not only a concern for my horses, but a HUGE liability issue). The workers took numerous cigarette breaks, and left their cigarette butts littering all over my driveway and in my pasture. They also left trash pertaining to their work, some of which was sharp and/or dangerous to animals, in the pasture near their work area, in the interior work space and in the driveway. When I received the bill in the mail, I called Mike as I felt the bill was excessively high. Mike told me he was doing my heat and air guy a "favor", then proceeded to tell me he was doing the Propane company a "favor" by even coming out and doing the work. He then told me there was an issue with my water heater, which neither I nor my contractor (who was on site the entire day) were informed of. As this was a brand new water heater (a week old), we should have been told of any issues immediately. I was then told that the workers were on site working from 12:30 until 4:00 pm, which both I and my contractor dispute, my contractor being on site and leaving himself at 4:00 pm, considerably after Cand M workers. We approximate Cand M worker's time at 2.5 hours, again approximately. Mike told me he'd discuss this with his workers and call me back the next day. I've never heard back from him, but DID receive a statement on December 1st with a stamped notice that my bill is "NOW DUE" (original bill dated 11/18/08). I will NEVER use this company again.

I called based on a $49 fall tune up flyer in the mail and a angieslist.com review of favorable pricing. Two fellows showed up within an hour and diagnosed the problem as a failed control board. One of the men returned 2 days later and installed the replacement part.

The quality of their work is excellent. C and M Heating and Cooling lived up to every expectation. They did their work with pride and I have referred them to many people. Their price was about half of what some of the competition wanted.
