At that time he was number one in either Huntsville or Madison.  When I called him, he told me he couldn't help.  He just didn't come out and charge fifty bucks or anything like that.  He said I need to just reconnect my dryer or at least get the lint out of it.  I didn't use him but when he heard my problem he honestly said he couldn't help me.  I just talked to him on the phone but he did not come out.  He told me the problem wasn't a mechanical problem which is what I figured too.  He told me I could get to call my complex which I did and got a cleanup done and the dryer returned.  If somebody was less true to me they would have just come out and charged me the fifty bucks or whatever they charge to come out and done nothing.

I called the company and explained that my husband had tried to repair our oven, but that we were still having problems.  He refused to work on it stating that it could cuase problems.  I asked what he meant by that and he could not explain other than to say it just could get him in trouble.  He was not professional in his delivery and did not offer any suggestions. He said that he "wouldn't be interested in taking the job".  I got the impression from the website that hewould at least be friendly and courteous even if he couldn't help us, but he was not.

He stated he would arrive before 11 am (knowing I was taking off work) and he arrived at 11.  He diagnosed it within a minute and fixed it in 10 minutes.  He helped me trace the path of my dryer vent and recommended a company for cleaning it out.  I can't help but feel it was little pricey for 15 min of time, but that's how it is these days.  Overall, very happy wth the service.

I've used him twice. He showed up on time. He knew exactly what caused it and that was all it took. He also told me to turn off the light at the icemaker. I loved him. He does not bill and I do have to pay him before he leaves which I don't blame him for. He is professional and he tells the truth. He didn't fix something that didn't need fixing. I would use him again without a doubt. They were fantastic and I would recommend them to anybody.

I called early in the morning for same day repair on my refigerator.  Miscomunication caused tech to be out of my area before the office was able to contact the tech.  These folks were highly rated by the reviews I saw. 

They did the right thing by referring to me to another company but I was disappointed by the way today went.

Our less than 3 year old GE top-load washing machine recently started making a banging sound during the agitation cycle.I googled this symptom and from what I read knew that it was a serious problem but was hoping the repair was not excessive. A Able showed up on time, took about five minutes to diagnose the problem, and told me it would cost nearly as much to repair the washer as it originally cost. So I elected not to have repairs made and was charged $65 ($45 service call + $20 diagnosis fee) for five minutes of work. He gave me some good tips on which brands to consider and which ones to avoid (GE!) based on his experience repairing them.

Repair man stated fridge was not worth fixing. I assume they where honest, since he could have sold me to repair the thing piece by piece until it added up to more then a new fridge. I wasn't thrilled with the diagnosis or paying money just to hear the fridge needed to go to the curb, but they did what was asked.

Washing Machine had broke leaving behind a huge puddle of water. We called and even in horrible weather (Snow storm Jan 2011), made it in the time frame given. He had the part in the truck, fixed it in under 30 minutes and was gone. Great Service. Well Dressed. Kind and of course, awesome for fixing our washer.

My 5 yr old Maytag top-loading washer was making an unusual noise when the agitator moved. Consulted Angie's List and decided to call A Able Appliance repair. Called mid-morning and they were at my house with 2 - 3 hrs. Carl was very knowledgeable and he told me that while my washer is labeled a Maytag it was made by Amana. He popped the bottom front panel and was able to attribute the noise to the transmission. He said the noise didn't indicate any problems with the workings of the transmission and to investigate it further would mean the machine would need to be completely taken apart. His recommendation was to live with the noise. I appreciate his honesty and being saved extensive labor charges. I would definitely call him again if I need appliance repair and I highly recommend him.

They gave us an estimate of about $600 to fix the fridge, but told us that we would be better off replacing it. I liked that they turned down the work even though they could have done it. They came out exactly when they said they would. They gave us advice that wasn?t probably in their favor.

Saw ad in Yellow Pages for A Able Appliance Repair then looked at their website. I called around 8:15 AM and he arrived around 1:00 PM and was finished by 1:10 PM. Carl was very nice, friendly, quick and professional.
