Precision Garage Door Service

They came did everything on the package we bought. changing out the wheels on the door among other things. We just bought the house and knew the door was in bad shape. They added new springs and wires and a bar for the door to lock at an additional cost, which they told us and we gave our okay before the additional work was done. . They were very professional. We have 3 garage doors. They explained to us the things that were wrong with all of them, but there was not pressure to "buy" anything from them. They were very helpful. Would definitely recommend them.

UPDATE TO INITIAL REVIEW: I had initially not been very impressed with this company when they came out in January, and I had indicated as much when Angie's List asked that I submit a review for the company. To their absolute credit, the head office picked up on this initial review and called me directly to see what they could do to make things right. I spoke with Nathan, one of their customer service representatives, who bent over backwards to turn me into a satisfied customer, and he did. Their service guys came back out and did an excellent job with the overhaul on my garage door at a very fair and equitable price. I am now VERY impressed with this company and would recommend them to anyone. If/when my garage door needs servicing in the future, these are the first guys I will call. They were very professional. I would say the job they did was fair. It didn't seem to make much difference. The staff was good. The guy that came out seemed very knowledgeable.

The company came out and performed the installation of the new rollers and they were so lazy that instead of disconnecting the track and removing the rollers, they used a pair of vice grips and bent the track open and then used a tool to hammer it back into place. They left my garage door tracks looking like minced meat. I called the owner and made him come back to replace the track that they mangled and they only replaced half of it so part of the track still looks terrible. Dont use this lazy company.

One day we found that our garage door would not close. Upon inspection my husband discovered a frayed cable preventing it from closing. He went on Angie's List and discovered there was a coupon for Precision Doors. He called and they arrived the next day and repaired it. We have used this company in the past, before we joined Angie's List, and were pleased with their work. I really did not expect such a quick response for the repair.

Precision Garage Door Service was great. They were very quick and they delivered as promised. They were very quick in getting back and make an appointment. The technician they sent was early and he not intrusive. It was a pleasant transaction all around.

He was on time. He explained all the work in detail beforehand. The individual that did the work was knowledgeable professional neat and clean in appearance and work habits. He also finished the job in a very amount of time. I was very nervous about possibly getting "ripped off" pricewise, but that did'nt happen. Iwould use this company again in a heartbeat. They are also following up with a no charge "Quality of work inspection" on 1-24-13 at no charge.

I purchased the deal on Angie's List to have my garage door service performed. After the purchase, the chain snapped and I had to immediately place a service call. They were prompt in coming to my home and after inspection found that I had already had my garage door service performed by their company, so they applied the deal I had purchased on Angie's List to the service and parts to repair the current issue.

After we placed the order, we received a call from the company to set up an appointment. Again, serviceman came on time, did the work as described. The work was basic cleaning and oiling of the garage door 'workings'.

It was very easy to get an appointment at the time I wanted. The technician showed up on time and was very efficient and professional. And the garage door is so much quieter than it used to be.

After looking at Angie's List and reading reviews about companies that provide overhead garage door service, I called Precision Door Service. The garage door was on a rental property and would not close. My tenant had a number of personal things in the garage that needed to be secured, so time was of the essence. The technician was able to come on the same day, and kept me up to date about his estimated time of arrival. He quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to make the repair on that day.

Precision Garage Door Service called me promptly to schedule service. Rick arrived on time. He straightened up and lubricated the door track, assessed my existing garage door, and recommended some improvements. I decided not to proceed with the improvements now because my door is fairly new. I wish I had met Rick before I had the garage door replaced in 2011. The garage door hardware he sells is definitely better than what I have and his knowledge of what makes a good garage door system is very good. I will probably call him when my existing door needs service or replacement.

Our garage door started sticking when the weather turned cooler. I called Precision and was actually offered a same day appointment which I was not able to accept. My most convenient time was two days later. The technician arrived on time and checked out the door operation. He diagnosed the problem as a weak door spring that had been installed three years ago (Cost $279) by another company. He explained that the spring was undersized for the door size and should have been larger. The cost of replacing the spring would be $350 with a one year warranty on parts and labor. He went on to offer to replace the spring and all the rollers, cables, pulleys and end brackets with a lifetime parts and labor warranty for $559. Since the door system is almost 15 years old and made such a noise when opening, I decided to take the lifetime offer. The work took about an hour and the door operated smoothly, although it still screeched quite a bit during operation. He recommended that I lubricated the hinges and have the door checked annually. I lubricated the hinges and the door became very quiet during operation. We are very happy with the results and feel we made the right decision to go the more expensive route to insure we have no further problems with the door. My only disappointment was that the technician didn't lubricate the hinges himself. Five minutes time, a little lubricant and a quiet operating door would have been more impressive and he would have "Aced" the job. I would definitely recommend this company!

Persons was just too pushy in attempting to sell us some new doors. I would not use this outfit again

Not Good, My garage door opener was not working correctly and had a H/W so I called home warranty company. They sent out Precision Tech who showed up on time. After checking opener and door he stated that the garage door needed new rollers, cables, pulleys, etc. and could not work on opener until that was fixed. (quoted $300+) This garage door about 7 years old. Meanwhile I called another company that I have used before and they came out and checked the garage door per manufacture specs and door was fine and all other parts working fine. I called home warranty company back following week and they sent another company who came out found defective part in opener and took care of item. That was 6 months ago and everything has worked fine since.

The door had ceased to open and close. Appointment was made with Precision within three days of my call. The technician called the morning of service to give his arrival time. He evaluated the mechanism and door, then recommended replacement parts including springs, cables, and safety beams. His easy-to-understand terms helped me make decisions. Using parts on his truck, within two-and-a-half hours he finished all repairs, including rewiring the wall switch. Parts carry a lifetime warranty. So far, the door operates fine, and is quieter.

We purchased the garage door tune-up service when it was one of Angie's List big deals because our garage door was extremely noisy. I mean wake up the dead noisy! Precision Garaged Door Service called us back and set up the appointment. The technician was on time, very professional and very friendly. He spent about 30 minutes working on the door. When he was finished, I could barely here the door operate! First class service at a first class price! Thanks, Precision!

They were courteous and didn't charge me a lot of money. I called them yesterday and they came yesterday when they said they would. In 45 minutes he had the problem solved and was done. I liked that they were able to come the same day that I called and that they charged me exactly what they said they would. I was able to use a coupon that I pulled off of Angie’s List. I would use them again.
