Don Smith was very professional and completed the job in about 1 hour. We were so thankful for their service as my husbands health does not allow him to perform this type of repair. We will definitely use this company again.

I was completely pleased with the service provided by Handyman Connection. The gentleman doing the service was professional. He was always on time and stayed in communication with us as to arrival times, when what work was going to be done, the required parts and when all would be finished. Would certainly use the service of this company again..

I called a little after 11AM to see about getting an estimate. There happened to be a craftsman in the area. He arrived about 2, the estimate was satisfactory, and he was gone by 3:20! and that was with having to go to the hardware store because I had not gotten the right hardware. He, and those I talked to in the office (I believe Debbie and Sarah) were extremely pleasant and professional. They treated me as though (unlike many businesses these days) I, the customer, am important to their business.

He spread his work over two sessions a few days apart. The delay was mostly due to difficulty finding wood trim to match the rotten door jamb. He ended up replacing all the trim around the entire door. The final price covered about $100 in materials (which he spent his own time driving around to find and buy) and $420 for labor. He set his estimated labor price before beginning the work -- and before he ran into trouble finding materials -- which reassured me that his fee for labor was more than fair. We already had replacement ceramic tiles on hand; from now on, I'll always buy one more box of tiles than I actually need for exactly this reason. Those tiles are almost ten years old; Brendan would have had a VERY hard time finding an exact match for them if I hadn't had already had spares. He ran a little late on day two, and began work that day perhaps an hour later than planned. I was home packing up the house anyway and didn't consider the wait a problem. When I needed documentation of the repairs at closing, the folks at the office got it for me right away and emailed it to me. I'm really happy with the quality of the work, its price, its accompanying guarantee, and the overall professionalism of the whole team.

I had a great experience! The handyman was very careful and meticulous with our purchases. He showed me how to work the remote on the ceiling fan and always asked my preference for the fan blades, etc. The price/quote wasn't over-the-top, but respectable to a true trade/craftsman. We had a great guy that was personable and friendly; I think that's important, too. I plan to do more business with Handyman Connection in the future, as they provide a prompt and professional service! Thanks so much!

After researching Angie's List for a quality handyman, I found Handyman Connection and provided my list of house repair requests. Handyman connection was quick to respond the next business day to establish a timeline and respond back with the name of a contractor who could perform the work. Jani was assigned to perform our work. He was quick to come out and perform an estimate. I had no expectations on cost as I hadn't contracted out this work before and typically perform home repairs myself. My initial thought after receiving the estimate was that it was a little pricey. But I decided to have Jani perform the work as he clearly laid out his approach to tackle each task and was confident I would be happy with the result. I have to say after watching Jani work that he is very skilled at what he does and takes tremendous pride in his work. The final product exceeded my expectations. He was very detailed and precise and the result displayed this kind of attention to detail. He had me review each task before moving on so I could inspect his work to ensure I was satisfied. Overall this was a very positive experience. I highly recommend requesting Jani when using Handyman Connection for any painting work. His communication throughout the job was excellent and ensuring customer satisfaction was his priority. He went above and beyond to touch up areas outside the scope of his task which made the rooms look much better. Thank you Jani and Handyman Connection for providing such a quality service.

This experience was top-notch right from the start. I called Monday. Scott promptly determined my needs so that he could provide the appropriate "handyman" based on our discussion that similar work had been performed some time ago at my neighbors' homes. Also, Scott stated that he'd do his best to accommodated my schedule request. As promised, he called me back later in the day to set up the earliest available appointment which (for my convenience and to my satisfaction) happened to be the next morning, Tuesday. Scott informed me that Brendan, who had done the previously mentioned work, indeed had been assigned for my work request. Then, I received an email confirming the appt. date, time, company contact info & policies, as well as (confirming) the name of the handyman scheduled for the job. The next morning, Brendan arrived on time quickly assessing my situation (The door's screen had a large tear and the door, itself about 7 years old, didn't hang or close properly). Accordingly, Brendan made his recommendation explaining the long term value and cost efficiency of replacement vs. repair. In determining an estimate for the job, he offered a discount to help defray the cost. He then went to purchase the specific door type needed in order to commence the work. Upon returning, Brendan completed the work including, as requested, reattaching all hardware/accessories (handles and latches) salvageable from the old door. Also, he pointed out some advantages (overall quality & ease of access for possible future screen-replacement) this new door has vs. the old door. Throughout the work, done with efficiency and professionalism, he demonstrated experience-based competence and good attention to detail. Finally, Brendan provided useful, valuable tips re: proper painting and general maintenance for long lasting durability. Job well done!

In preparation of a home sale, I needed an assortment items to be corrected (13 in total) the bulk of which involved areas of the home that had wood rot around the trim and soffit areas. Handyman Connection sent out a licensed repairman, Marc, who scoped out the work in detail and presented a quote and timeline. The work was done promptly, and when one item was overlooked, they came back out quickly and resolved the issue, demonstrating good customer response. All in all, was very satisfied with the work!

I called them, the next day they had someone come out and gave me a quote. They set up and appointment, the guy came, did the job. It was great.

We have had nothing but great experiences with Handyman Connection. We've had both Rob and Scott come to help us. They are friendly, timely and very cost-effective. All their fixes have been great, and we trust them. We will definitely use them again, and highly recommend them.

I completed the service request form online and was called a day or two later. I explained what I needed to have done and the woman said that would be no problem. She stated that she would be lining up an associate to come give an estimate and would be in touch by the week's end. Never heard from again. I called another similar company and they sent a guy 2 days later and the job was done by the end of that day. I am amazed at the number of folks in the contracting business that think nothing of not showing up or returning phone calls! Any other business in the world would be OUT OF BUSINESS for such poor customer service!

I've been living in SC since 1995. I am a Citadel grad. The house I live in with my wife and two children was build about 20 years ago. We have been living in this particular house, which is in the Mount Pleasant since December 2009. It took Handyman Connection four visits to take care of my request (I was only expecting one visit). The hourly rate was approximately $100 for labor only. That is the average hourly labor rate after the Angie's List discount. That pricing seems fair, that is why I am rating it as a C. I had some communication issues with Ben, the initial carpenter. He came three times, I paid him three times for his services and time. The explanation of the work he was going to do did not match the end result. Portions of the work I thought were going to be done, ended up requiring additional visits. I can't say that it was all Ben's fault and I am okay taking a share of the miscommunication. Ben was very nice to us initially, but he ended up getting very upset with me. He actually was not professional at all during our last conversation and he hung up on me, which reflected very poorly on the company. That is why I cannot give Handyman Connection an A for professionalism. I gave the owners of Handyman Connection my feedback and I am confident that they are doing the necessary to address this issue. Communication problems happen every now and then. Things happen. That being said, I would not work again with Ben and I can't recommend him. I understand that he's done a very good job with other clients. My experience with him has been subpar, that's all. That being said, I cannot say enough good things about the owners of Handyman Connection. Sara and Scott are top notch, very professional, punctual. They took care of the problems at hand. They made sure that I ended up being very happy with the end job. They did not charge me for the last visit (labor or materials). For the fourth visit, they sent Mark D., another carpenter. Mark completed the job and did it superbly. I highly recommend Mark D. He was wonderful. Overall, I highly recommend Handyman Connection. While my experience has been less than ideal (which can happen every now and then, I get it), they did right by me and fixed what needed to be fixed. The end job is one of quality and I will not hesitate to reach out to them again for future jobs. Hope this is helpful.

Amazing work! We were impressed from start to finish, which took just a few days. Ben was our craftsman, and he was punctual, professional, and very talented. Cost was very reasonable with no surprises. We will continue to use this company, no doubt. We will recommend to friends as well.

Love my two new doors! Mark D. is a fantastic carpenter, very professional, and a nice person! He worked on my front doors like it was his own place. He treated our property with respect and took his time to do it right the first time. I purchased two colors of stains for my door and he showed me on a sample piece of wood what they would look like, so I could choose between the two. His work is outstanding, and it showed in his finished work. Thank you so much Mark for your work ethic and the fantastic finished product! I am very proud of my new front door and new storm door:)

They were recommended by friends who've used them before. They realized they had to get the mirror safe so they called in a second person. There was no damage or mess and they did a beautiful job.

Came by the house to review the work and provided the quote within 24 hours. Scheduled and completed the work within 72 hours (postponed by bad weather). Corner of house which required some detailed cuts to be made. As judgmental as I can be, he did a better job than I would have. As for the price, with the time and ladder work that was necessary, it was reasonable.

Mark did a good, high quality job, taking the time to make sure that the subfloor was completely level and that everything that needed to be removed and hauled away was removed. He was honest in his dealings with us as well.

The service we received was stellar, and the work was completed in a matter of minutes! I have already referred this company to a close friend who has begun to use there services. I will use this company again in the next few weeks.

Went great. Very professional, on time and completed the job on time. Worked clean and with respect to the rest of the kitchen including our new counter tops. Would highly recommend the company to friends. The office person was very nice and returned calls in a timely manner.

After he inspected the damage the repairman went to Lowes, Home Depot and called his supervisor to find a similar vent. But they did not have the same type. I had an unused 15 yr old vent in the attic and the repairman was able to use it for the repair. Also the Repairman had to use my ladder because the one he had could not reach the house peak safely

While cooking for a large church dinner, I stupidly ran a bunch of celery, carrot and onion garbage through the disposal. The disposal clogged. It still ran but the water would not drain out. I called Handyman Connection and they sent John King. He was there in about an hour. He was very personable and professional and had the plumbing disassembled and the clog removed (celery strings) very quickly. I was running short on time and really appreciated the prompt service. I would have hated to wait to come home late that night after church to face a dirty kitchen with a clogged up sink.

It came in exactly what the estimate said.

Handyman arrived as scheduled, was neat, professional, courteous and efficient. Very pleased with entire experience from initial phone call to completion of job.

Went well but they moved out of state.
