Grounded Electrical Solutions LLC
About us
We are a local residential electrical company. We have been servicing the Charleston area since 2001 and started our company three years ago. We do any and all residential electrical services from wiring a home, remodeling or hanging a light. We do our smaller jobs at our hourly rate plus materials and if its a bigger job we will give a quote before we begin. All jobs and prices will be agreed upon with the homeowner before we start. Our prices will not change unless more work is added from what we originally agree on. We will not ask for any money up front, all payments will be received after our jobs are done. The owner will have a part in every job one way or another. He will walk each job with the customer before we begin to give our price.

The day the work was to be performed he and his two person crew arrived when they said they would. Along with me, Steve walked them through the scope of work, made sure I was comfortable and then headed to another job. His two workers were professional and pleasant. They interacted in a friendly and fun way with my family (two young girls and my wife) while staying on task. There was no questionable language or behavior. They also were happy to answer my questions and taught me a couple of things
The work was completed generally as expected in a timely manner. When having fixtures added or changed you should expect some sheetrock damage and dust. Steve's crew did their best to limit both but, as the homeowner you should expect to cover your furniture, etc. and to do some cleaning after the work is done. It's always best to ask lots of questions upfront so you are clear in your expectations and can then have a positive outcome rather than assume what service you are going to receive.
After the work was completed, Steve confirmed everything was done to my satisfaction. One trim i.e. the light, was defective and I had an additional question on the location of a light. Steve offered to send someone over, I didn't think it was necessary as I had provided the trims so I replaced it myself and, as I expected to have future work done didn't think the location question needed a visit but, he still generously had someone stop by the next day to make sure everything was as it should have been.
If you've tried to hire a contractor before in the Low Country, you know getting someone to show up on-time, be professional and reasonably priced isn't easy. I can highly recommend Grounded Electric as they met all the expectations a reasonable homeowner could have.
"Mrs. [Member Name Removed] Sorry that you were not happy with the hole. But before we provide a service we always let our customers know that by either running the new wires or replacing a fixture there could be Sheetrock damage. Also we tell all customers that we do not repair Sheetrock and they will have to hire someone for those repairs. We come to each job and give a fixed price or an hourly price plus the cost of materials. If you were not satisfied with the price we estimated and provided to you, you could have shared your concerns about the price at the time. We could have come to an agreement or you could have found another provider that fit your price range. We have very competitive prices around our town and take it serious when someone is not pleased with our service. We will do whatever it takes to make our customers happy. We did this job for you in October and you never showed any signs of being unhappy nor did you contact me with any questions. So once again I'm sorry for you not liking our price or the holes required to do the job. Please let any other contractor who does work for you in the future know of your dissatisfaction and I'm sure they just like myself would do what it takes to make you happy."
