Contacted JRS for an estimate on upgrading my bi-level staircases from contractor's grade pine to oak treads and replace wrought iron handrails with oak. Jay was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. He got back to me in two days with an estimate which was almost double what I had expected. I had done some research as to material prices and had a ballpark figure for labor. I managed to talk him down to a price which I considered reasonable, but due to the time delay another contractor, whose work I was familiar with, became available and I hired him instead. I would be comfortable contacting this contractor again for future estimates if the need arises.

He was awesome! He was very honest. His work was to perfection. When we had the town official inspect, they were in awe with the work. If he couldn't’t make an appointment, he would always call. We really appreciated the phone call. He is very professional. He is really an artist, he takes pride in his work and takes it very seriously.

It went fantastic over all. He is a perfectionist with his work and is very meticulous. He was on time, he worked late, and he priced under our budget. He is a very nice guy and really cares about doing the best work for the customer and also is very helpful with other things if needed.

It went great! He was on time everyday ready to work. He suggested ways I could lower my cost and also ways to make the place look better. He did beautiful work on the counter and crown modeling.
