+ -1 moreCalled for an estimate and they returned my call within 15 minutes, We scheduled a time for them to come by and they were right on time. We agreed to have the work done. On the day the work was scheduled Josh showed up right on time and with the materials/parts needed to do the job. He told us about how long it would take, and proceeded to finish slightly ahead of schedule. Clean-Up and removal of old material went well. Overall a very good experience.
Description of Work: Replace 2 toilets and replace shower fixture with some new piping and added access door in a closet

I thought it was high but plumbers are always expensive and I didn't want to try and mess it up again myself. The service person finished the job in about thirty minutes and that was really fast. Great job and no leaks.
Description of Work: The bathroom sink drain needed to be replaced as it was leaking. The dish washer intake line had a slow drip and needed to be replaced.

Josh arrived, went right to work, was quiet, clean and efficient. I will not hesitate to call this business again for any and all plumbing needs. Finding someone you can trust and who also appears to truly appreciate your business is rare and precious. Louis and Josh are both friendly and courteous and made me feel valued as a customer. The estimate I was given was spot on, no surprises. This is an honorable firm and I would recommend them to my best friends and family.

+ -1 moreService was prompt and good. My dishwasher was determined to have a dying pump and I had them replace my broken hot water dispenser with a new one I purchased. Lowes would have installed my new hot water heater for $100. The extra charge I assume would be for checking the dishwasher although no service was done on it. I expected a charge of no more than $125 so I thought $185 was a little steep. However, the fault was mine in not asking about the breakdown of services before they came. I guess I expected them to throw in the dishwasher inspection. Just learn from me and don't assume anything. I will call them again if needed, but will ask about costs before they come.
Description of Work: As promised, Servant refunded me $50 from my service call. They will have my business for the future. They are serious about good customer relationships, which is sadly somewhat rare in the service industry. As stated in my first review, the "B" grade was a result of a lack of communication on my part and theirs as to expected costs, not quality of service. I think their company name is a true reflection of their intent to offer a fair and competent experience for their customers.

+ -1 moreWent surprisingly well. He showed up exactly on time and gave me an estimate. I did have another estimate so I had a basis for comparison and was pleased with his final price. He answered my questions about the job (estimated time to complete). He advised me in advance that I would need some sheetrock repair for the cut out areas which was to be expected. He worked quietly and professionally. To be honest, I'm generally very critical of work done in the Charleston Area. I've been very disappointed on several ocassions and have gotten to the point where I'm leery of calling for service. He did a great job and checked his own work....very important. He found a very small leak when doing his final inspection and corrected it before leaving. This really impressed me. Usually in the past with other service providers, I'm the one who has to inspect the work and then corrections would be grudgingly made. This time everything was done very well...Work was professional and neat and the work area was left organized and clean. I'm very impressed.I would recommend Servant Plumbing in a heart beat.
Description of Work: We were relocating a washing machine to a new location on the first floor and needed both the cold and hot water input and the drain installed at the new site.

+ -1 moreI have a very busy, tight schedule, so I called the morning of the appointment (made 10 days previously) to make sure that Servant Plumbing still planned to come to my home that afternoon. I thought they were coming at 2:30, but the man I spoke with on the phone said we had agreed to a 3:00-4:00 time frame. As I checked my records - after our phone conversation - it turned out he was exactly right and I was wrong. He was, nevertheless, respectful and professional when talking with me on the phone and he even sent an equally respectful and professional plumber to my house at 2:30, even though that was not our original arrangement. This excellent customer service - even when the customer was wrong! - combined with the fact that the plumber did not try to talk me into unnecessary work, makes this company tops on my list!
Description of Work: I had sometimes heard intermittent "thumping" sounds in the wall near my kitchen sink after I ran the water. The plumber inspected the pipes and sink and determined that it was just air in the pipes and that there was no need for any intervention.

+ -1 moreI just recently moved into my first home about a week or two ago. A few nights ago, around 8pm, I noticed that the sink, toilet and bathtub were not draining properly. I called Servant Plumbing and they had someone out the same evening to diagnose the problem. At first, they thought it was a pretty simple fix, but upon further inspection, they realized there was a problem with the grade of the waste line and a few pipes put together incorrectly. They were back the next day to fix the grade of the waste line and replace some of the pipes that were installed incorrectly. They even fixed the section where the waste line connected to the sewer system for no extra charge. The service was fast, friendly, and they didn't even charge extra for coming out on Christmas Eve. They cleaned up pretty well except for a couple pieces of trash and three pieces of lattice they forgot to replace, but it wasn't a big deal to fix. Overall I'm pretty happy with the work. Thanks dudes!

+ -1 moreOn Labor Day we noticed a leak in the downstairs family room ceiling. Servant Plumbing was the first (and only) of three plumbers to return my call. I was almost a bit skeptical of the glowing reviews that Servant Plumbing has received on here, but my experience with them was excellent, and they lived up to their stellar reputation. The technician, Josh, was on another job, but he came as soon as he was finished. Josh was as professional, pleasant, and honest as other reviews said he was. He quickly found the source of the leak upstairs and set to work repairing it. He offered us a lower price repair option and a higher price one. We chose the latter, as it also included replacement of the spigot on the other washing machine water line as a prevention against future problems. I even got an Angie's List member discount that was more than the one-year membership fee. I definitely will call Servant Plumbing the next time I need a plumber, which, as I told Josh, has averaged once every other year!
Description of Work: Spigots on water pipes to upstairs washing machine were replaced.

+ -1 moreVery professional service from start to finish. Josh came right away, and fixed the problem without any surprises. He was efficient, but didn't rush. He did the work for the estimate he gave to us and I felt comfortable having him in my home.
Description of Work: Josh repaired and replaced our leaking drain under the kitchen sink. Reset the sink with clips and reconnected the water and drain lines. As a bonus Josh recaulked our sink which had never been caulked before! Now our sink edge stays clean underneath, and our pipes don't leak!

The owner Louie called me several times to talk through the work, suggest options, clarify the schedule and negotiate pricing. He kept me abreast of all schedule changes ahead of time. The plumbers arrived on time each day and communicated a timeline, work plan and they reviewed the work with me before leaving. Also, they kept their work areas clean.

+ 1 moreThis is the second time that I have dealt with Servant Plumbing, once again they exceeded my expectations. Calling them this morning at 6:30 AM, my call was returned within 10 minutes. He was out on site by 7:45 am. All of my drains and toilets in the house were backing up and overflowing. They removed the toilet, cleaned out the line and put it back. In addition they cleaned up all the overflowing mess. But what I appreciate the most is them not taking advantage of me by overcharging me on a Sunday morning for something that I thought was going to be a very expensive and big job. I thank Louie and his team for another job well done.
Description of Work: Removed the downstairs toilet and snaked out the sewer line from the house the street. Then put the toilet back.

Description of Work: These guys are the best. I have used them several other times and have never been disappointed. They replaced all my old plumbing lines in the lower part of my house as I am going thru some renovations. I had one of the old pipes burst while the construction was going on and they fit it replacing all those old lines also and came out that day and worked until dark to complete so i would have water that night . This represented several days worth of work from one to two people . Louie is great to work with as is Josh and one of the other folks who works for them whose name escapes me. Very professional, make great recommendations and are always looking for ways to save you money not help you spend more on needless repairs. Their prices are fair and very reasonable .

Description of Work: For a rapid response to a kitchen that was being maintained by emptying buckets of water dripping because the previous contractor installed the wrong type of piping to the dishwasher, never had the correct fixtures for the sink installation to begin with, never finished the job, this plumber showed up like an angel from Heaven. The man worked late into the night, showed up ontime as he promised, arrived with all the correct needed parts and installed them in a flash. He cleaned up the mess, the spilled water, cleaned up the trash from his mess and the mess of water that leaked all over the kitchen and into the other room. He cleaned up the water under the cabinets and left the kitchen cleaner then it was before he got there. When another lead started, he came back out and fixed that leak free of charge. I cant say enough of how grateful to Almighty God for having found an honest, clean, expert that came when I needed him, not when he felt like showing up. If you dont want to get taken for a ride, this is the plumber you need. If you go anywhere else, you will never get what you pay for as you would with this plumber. I would only pray the Lord above know how grateful that men like this are still out there. He was not doing this work for money, but for sure because he enjoyed his work as he seemed to be working for the Lord, and his family, to help me as he cared about a complete stranger, not just for the money. He was plesant, worked hard and I did not feel like I wished I had called anyone else. Angie's list is a great place to find great people and so worth the money after what I just went through with a general contractor that I wrote a book on what not look for in a contractor. Thank you Servant Plumbing, thank you Angie's list for letting me find them.Thank you Lord for saving me with a good person not just a plumber.

+ -1 moreThey were very responsive and very willing to work with my crazy schedule. The plumber showed up at 1:30 (they gave me a window of 1-3 pm that day). He was very nice and professional, worked very quickly, and explained everything to me in detail. He also seemed genuinely concerned about the bleach smell in the house (he sprayed underneath the house to kill the mold that was growing) and told me a few things I could do to air it out. Not really sure if the price is reasonable or not. I didn't really know what to expect but my parents seemed to think $250 for the work done was fine. I would definitely use them again.

The plumber (so sorry I dont remember his name) called as he left his last appointment to let me know he was on the way and it was right in line with the time frame I was given. He immediately isolated and fixed the problem in a timely manner. Both the owner and the employee were super friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely use this company again and have already recommended them to a co-worker.
Description of Work: Resealed the toilet in upstairs bathroom which was leaking down into my garage. Also replaced the toilet flapper.

+ 0 moreA week after moving into my new townhouse I noticed a growing leak on my kitchen ceiling. After figuring out that the leak was coming from my master bath I received a recommendation for Louie and then subscribed to Angies List and saw his glowing recommendations. I called them and the next day they sent Josh to come look at my situation. That night Louie called and offered me a quote of 7750 for the job. My unit didn't have a shower pan installed so the shower was leaking and I had drain pipe leakage. They completely demo'd my bathroom and Installed a new bathtub for me- it had previously been a shower- new tile and a new toilet. The toilet had also been leaking which was found out during demo. I also requested a dividing wall be put in to better separate the bathroom from the bedroom. I am very pleased with the quality of work. The new bath looks great and my tile work is excellent. Additionally, I had two new faucets installed in two different rooms for 250. Louie is very attentive and constantly checks in to make sure things are running smoothly. He was out of town for a family matter but his workers were top notch and I was happy with how often he contacted me. A few details weren't addressed but when I pointed them out to Louie he had them come back and fix them right away. My only complaint was that it took a little longer than some people i spoke to said it should but I'm very pleased with the quality and sometimes that takes a little longer! Highly recommend Louie and his team at Servant Plumbing.

+ 0 moreServant Plumbing was originally called (10/9/2012) to snake out a washer drain line. Servant Plumbing could not identify a problem with the drain line. In the course of troubleshooting this problem, I was contacted twice at work by the technician (Josh) for additional information and an explanation of his work. While he was at my home, I requested that he look at my leaky bathroom sink faucet, the leaky outside water spigot and the underground cut-off valve without a handwheel. The technician (Josh) reported that because of age, rust, corrosion and origin of the leaks that the three fixture had to be replaced and could not be refurbished. That same day I had an estimate of work ($575.00) and I wanted to know when the work could be scheduled. Josh was already trying acquire all parts to complete the work the same day. The technician (Josh) contacted me at work to report that the work would be accomplished the following day because the parts could not be acquired in time. The following day (10/10/2012), another Servant Plumbing technician (can't recall the name) completed all three repairs. When I arrived home from work, I inspected all three repairs. I verified operation of the bathroom faucet, the water spigot and the cut-off valve. All three functioned properly and the work area around all three repairs was simply immaculate. The check left for payment was picked up and a clean legibly written receipt was in its place. The following day (10/11/2012), the owner of Servant Plumbing (Lou) contacted me at work to discuss my satisfaction level. I let Lou know I was very pleased with everything but was most impressed with the attention and care concerning the clean-up of the working areas.
Description of Work: A leaky faucet fixture in a bathroom sink was replaced, an outside leaking water spigot was replaced and an underground water cut-off valve was replaced.
