PALMER'S REFINISHING

I called and left a message for Mr. Palmer and he called back immediately. He arranged pick up of my items and was right on time. We had an antique desk that my husband had used as a little boy that we wanted to have refinished and refurbished for our son. The desk had been sitting in a barn for over 30 years and needed a ton of work. Mr. Palmer also took a cedar chest that was in need of some TLC. The items were picked up on Monday and returned on Friday (again right on time.) The desk was so beautiful that I cried. Every single detail was cared for. Not only was the desk gorgeous on the outside, even the inside of the drawers were gorgeous. The chest turned out lovely as well. I will definitely use them again in the future and HIGHLY recommend them.

I called the Palmers and left a message regarding my situation. I was contacted in a few hours and told that they were in the area and could pick up the chairs that afternoon. They gave me a quote over the phone and arrived when they said they would. The finish on the chairs was worn to the bare wood in spots. The Goose Neck Rocker was a difficult piece but they did not have any problems with it. They noticed that the Adirodack chair finish did not match the rest of the furniture group and suggested that they could match the finish. One of my table drawers was taken to make a perfect match. I was told that their refinishing would not wear like the base that was on my original finish. Also, they add a UV protection coat. The chairs were picked up and I received a call a day early that they could deliver them which was perfect for me. The workmanship was outstanding. Both look like new (actually better than new). Also the color of the Adirondack chair made a huge difference in our Living Room Group. When they set up the chairs they were carefully wiped down for any dust and even added new pads on the legs to protect our wood floor. Bottom line, Plamers is first class on workmanship and service. Price is very reasonable. I will use them again and highly recommend them. Family company. Their website has additonal services as well.

I liked that they came directly to my house. They sat down and talked to me to make sure that they got exactly what I was looking for. More importantly when they said they were going to have it done, they had it done and brought it right back to my house looking better than ever. I will use them again in the future.

We really liked them a lot. They were prompt and they did a great job on the little table. They were honest about pricing. They came and picked it up and brought it back. The price was less than we thought it would be. They had quoted me a price. We are going to use them again.

I am extremely pleased. The sofa table had what appeared to be a painted design on the drawer. I figured that would be gone in the refinishing process. The refinishing was beautiful and the painted design remained. The badly warped pedestal desk was restored to its original form. The wood portion of the desk was refinished and the metal pedestal base was repainted. Additionally, there was a screw out of the desk's top railing which was fixed. The office chair rotates smoothly and the wheels have been solidly replaced. Finally, the deck chair was stripped of its multiple layers of paint and looks great. The Palmers do wonderful work. The turn-around was very fast. I highly recommend them. I have used a number of furniture refinishers in the past ? none of them comes close to the quality and professionalism of Palmer's Refinishing. My many thanks to them.

Al and his son, Scott, refinished several pieces of old rosewood furniture that we've had since the 1980s: a curio cabinet, secretary desk, two end tables and a coffee table. They turned these faded ugly ducklings into beautiful pieces that look terrific in our great room and sun room; and at a cost that pales in comparison to what we would have had to pay for new pieces! In addition, they refinished an old buffet in a black finish with reddish distressed areas to use as a cabinet in our home office. It's beautiful and functional; they had adjustable shelves fitted for two open side sections that provide plenty of room for our office supplies. Finally, they finished a new unpainted chest of drawers for our guest room so that it goes nicely with the other furniture there; they even finished the insides and back. They also do great follow-up work. The secretary desk and curio cabinet's existing drawer and door pulls were old and falling apart. I planned on getting new ones for them to install by the time they picked up the cabinet, but didn't have them in time. When I tried to put them on later, they didn't fit properly because of the way they had been drilled by the person who made them. Al and Scott fixed them and installed the new pulls for us. They're perfect! These guys are keepers and I will definitely have them do any furniture or cabinet repairs that I might need in the future. They are friendly, prompt, professional, and do excellent work for reasonable prices. Can't expect any more than that; in fact, they go above and beyond to make you happy that you chose them for the job.

Mr. Palmer picked the table up and fixed it and returned it. He was timely, professional and I had confidence that he knew what to do after his explanation of how he would fix the break. He mentioned that his work is guaranteed for life. Very nice person and quite good at what he does. Takes pride in his work. Would hire him again, no second thoughts.

They were easy to work with and did what they said. They charged what they said they would and I was very satisfied with the job. I will use them again in the future.

The buffet is made of very solid wood and was in a birch finish. We wanted it refinished to a dark cherry/mahagony color. This took multiple coats! It was no problem for Jim though. They picked up the buffet and returned it in just 3 days. It was absolutely flawless. I appreciated the quick responses to my calls, their ability to fit this project in with other jobs, and the pick-up & drop-off delivery services. This is the second time I have used Palmers and I have been completely satisfied both times. I highly recommended him!

The table left the house with cat scratches and burn marks and returned looking likle new. This is the second time we have used this company and twice they have done a great job.

From the first time the Palmers came to give me an estimate to the day they left after completing the job MR. Palmer and his son were two of the most professional and knowledgable people I have dealt with. When Mr. Al Palmer ran his hands over my furniture to feel the wood I knew he was a man who loves his craft. They were considerate, prompt and very helpful and the finished job is beautiful. You would never know that these were the same ordinary stained cabinets that had been in my house for 30 years. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs to have wood refinishing projects done and I look forward to having them do some furniture refinishing for me in the future.

I contacted three "A" rated companies from Angies List. I chose the Palmers and could not be more pleased. The completed work was outstanding. The pieces look better than new. They were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I will definitely use them again.

Contacted for quote to refinish a piece of furniture. Used Anglie's list for another company to use as comparison. Found this company to be outrageously over-priced for what needed to be done. Glad I did a comparison and very happy with results from another vendor.

The Palmers (father and son) have repaired multiple pieces for us. This first time was in December -- an office chair with a broken wheel and a dining table chair. Both flawless! They just returned 4 barstools that had broken backs -- two of which were broken into several pieces (thanks to my kids!). The chairs are beautiful! I am so impressed with their skills and will continue to use them whenever I need any pieces repaired. HIGHLY recommend!

Incredible. The Palmers did a superb job refinishing two chairs for me and in a very suprising amount of time. Would not consider using anyone else. Top notch work and cutomer service.

Our kitchen table had several stains and gouges. They refinished it and now it looks better than when we purchased it. They instructed me on how to properly care for the new finish. They also refinished my mother's old dining chairs back to new. After we saw how well they did on the first two jobs, we had our son's dressors refinished too. We are very pleased with their work. All jobs were completed within one week.

Immediate response to my message for an estimate. Gave estimate over the phone. Scheduled for a few days later. Picked up right on time and delivered a day early since we needed to go out of town. Outstanding work overall. Very pleased and would recommend and use again.

Al Palmer gave me a quote to refinish kitchen cabinets on the phone and arranged to view the job the same day. Luckily, I had 2 extra doors to be used as test refinishing, as I wanted stain rather than 'paint' look. He and Scott returned twice during the week to get to the exact shade, a medium brown that just glowed. Work was done the second week following the color selection. On Monday and Tuesday, extensive taping and brown paper were used to cover every edge in the kitchen, and an exhaust fan placed in a window. Plastic sheeting hoisted all the way to a high ceiling was like a cage. Doors and drawers were removed, and cabinetry was sanded and stained; the fan, cage and coverings removed and everything cleaned. Friday the doors and drawers were returned and installed, and edges touched up. It's just beautiful, such a change. Even though we selected inexpensive brushed nickel hardware, it looks very rich. Can't wait until we are ready to redo the master bathroom, or some furniture, we sure will call them. Nice people with professional pride and workmanship.

Amazing. He is very punctual and responsive. He finished the pieces earlier than promised so that we could get them before leaving for vacation. He even left us stain should we chip or damage the furniture. Simply outstanding and very professional. I highly recommend them!

Mr. Palmer and I made an appointment for him to pick up the furniture that was only a couple of days after our conversation and he was right on time. We reviewed the work to be done, studied the different stains and chose one that most closely matched the original finish. He was careful in loading the furniture in his truck. He warned me several times that due to a slight back log and vacations that it might be two weeks, or up to three weeks before the work would be finished - however he had it back to me exactly one week later. The work done was excellent, the service was excellent and very timely. I would recommend Palmer's Refinishing and would use them again.

My furniture was picked up earlier than they originally estimated and dropped off exactly when they said they would drop it off. That alone was worth the price of Palmer's service. However, they went above and beyond by doing an INCREDIBLE job for me and my wife. I have a set of dining chairs that needed to be stripped and re-finished. Oh they did that, but they also took pride and a personal interest into doing the job right and with respect. I'm looking around my house for something else they can help me with. HIGHLY recommend. Palmer Refinishing did a fantastic job! Al Palmer is a gentleman and a professional of the highest caliber. His company did exactly what they said, on time and left the house as clean (but much better looking) as they found it. Our kitchen has been completely transformed and now we show it off to anybody we can.
