One plant showed plenty of signs of life, the other did not any at all. Contacted Jackson & Perkins and was given no satisfaction. They suggested a lengthy process of treating the unresponsive plant with Epsom Salts for 3 weeks in the hope it would promote growth. I suggested just sending the plant back, which requires some effort to remove, pack, and ship. They want the shipping to be at my cost for a dud plant that they sent me. Poor customer service and I will surely never deal with them again.
Description of Work: Purchased two rose plants.

I went online in November 2010 to order three rose bushes for a friend who had lost her mother. I had heard that Jackson and Perkins was a reputable company. The roses cost $54 and shipping cost another $16. They informed me that the roses would be shipped when it was time to plant roses. My friend received them in February. They looked dead when they opened the package but they planted them anyway just in case. The roses were watered and cared for over a period of a couple of months but they did not thrive unlike the other roses my friend had planted at the same time. The Jackson and Perkins roses were indeed dead! I called the company to complain. They said they would give me an in-store credit for the roses. I said I didn't want in in-store credit, would they please just refund my money. They said that they would put the money back on my credit card for the cost of the roses. I asked about the shipping charges since the roses arrived dead. They said they could not refund the shipping charges. I haven't checked my credit card to see if the money had been returned but I am NOT happy about the whole experience.
